“I really enjoyed this place. It has some retro charm. It even had a Photos booth and the food was good. The desserts were amazing. Largest milkshake I’ve ever seen in person and the staff was really nice and friendly and Alfredo the manager was really good guy.“

“I liked the menu options a lot, a good variety of diner food w/ some French inspired dishes. Our waiter was funny and really nice lol. Place is kinda small, but we didn’t have to wait at all even though it’s a no res spot. They gave us a small ice cream and whipped cream dessert for new years 🥹 Overall, I had higher expectations for the food based on the price points so was a little disappointed
- French onion soup ($19): 7/10, I LOVE French onion soup, but the broth wasn’t as flavorful or onion-y as I would’ve liked. Was pretty excited about this but disappointed. It was filled to the brim, which is great in theory, but it was lowkey hard to start eating it without it spilling over
- Patty melt ($21): 8/20, pretty solid, but lowkey reminds me of the melt from Waffle House lol
- Fries: 7/10, standard
- Complimentary ice cream w/ whipped cream: 7/10, standard ice cream, but it was nice that it was free 🥹
*Note: Wanna try their escargot and steak next time“

“This Manhattan diner was neat and clean, and the food was definitely good. The staff was friendly, but one downside was that they charged for refills on small cups, which felt a bit pricey. Overall, a solid spot for a tasty meal if you’re in the area, just be aware of the extra charges, they will try to be sneaky.“

“I didn’t expect a full blown broadway show experience in a restaurant! If you want show tunes and pop music served with a plate of great food then this is the place for you! Our server Brandi M. belted out a wicked version of The wizard and I! I ordered the BLT with avocado and waffle fries and my friend ordered the chicken and waffles. Both were delicious.“

“Excellent neighborhood diner. This was my first visit and I will return. Service is friendly, not effusive, so perfect from my perspective. The atmosphere is vibrant with many frequent customers, adding to the neighborhood vibe that makes this a good place to visit ... and maybe add to your diner experiences.
I had the weekend omelettw and cinnamon roll. Both were excellent. The chorizo and goat cheese blended so well in the omelette. The cinnamon roll was memorable, definitely among the best I have had.
A solid, enjoyable, memorable visit.“

“Classic diner food in NYC, getting harder to find these days. Prices seem average for NYC, so no longer that cheap, portions are average.
Got the bacon cheeseburger deluxe to go, which comes with fries, pickle, lettuce, tomato, small bit of coleslaw.“

“Had breakfast there twice. Once solo and the next time with my wife. Consecutive Tuesdays. Just there this morning, after the golf range at Chelsea Piers. It's a combination of Greek and Mexican specialties. I have sampled the eggs overeasy with corned beef and this time had three poached eggs with fresh tomato and feta, home fries and coffee. All wonderful. My wife had fried eggs with ham on top of grilled taco. She loved it. This is a top notch diner with excellent service.“

“Jean’s has such a great vibe — effortlessly cool, intimate, and lively at the same time. The atmosphere makes it perfect for a date or a fun night out. The food is consistently delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and the cocktails are standout — balanced, creative, and dangerous in the best way. The music and crowd add to the energy without overwhelming the space. Service is friendly and attentive, making the whole experience feel smooth and welcoming. Jean’s never disappoints and is always a good time“

“The service is exactly what you expect to get in nyc. Efficient and quick but you don’t feel rushed to stand leave abruptly. If you’re comparing this diner food to diners in parts of America that have a population of 4 then it is subpar but for an urban city I give it a 4/5. Metroooooo“

“Stopped by Tria Bakery Cafe Diner while waiting out a 2-hour wait at Golden Diner. We were starving and didn’t want to stand around in the cold, and this place ended up being the perfect move. It’s only about a 6-minute walk from Golden Diner, and we were able to sit down, stay warm, and enjoy good food and coffee while we waited. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and exactly what we needed. Definitely glad we came here.“

“There are so few places left on earth that feel truly authentic. We are so consumed by how many 5 star reviews somewhere got, or if it’s been sprinkled with magic influencer dust that I think we’ve forgotten to appreciate things for exactly who and what they are. The Cosmic Diner is EVERYTHING. The food is exactly what you would expect it to be, which is greasy and no frills and served with diner coffee and creamer in the little rip off containers - the delightful opposite of artisanal. The waiters are gruff. The food comes out in 6 minutes. The owner is there greeting everyone who walks in the door. This place has REGULARS, older people who are clearly here every day with their newspapers and their talking points about baseball and city life and their health ailments. It’s like time stopped here for a minute, and smartphones haven’t been invented yet, and maybe Jerry and George and his pals may waltz in from the 90s at any minute. You don’t come to places like this for a michellin meal - you come to remember what it was like when the world was slower, to sit with neighbors as they share their weekly breakfast, or to be an observer, like me, a person who isn’t from here but is so grateful that places like the Cosmic Diner still exist. Give them a visit. Take a moment to time travel.“

“It's great, but it's SO expensive. I got an omelette which came with hash browns and toast-- $35 after tax, tip, and fees!!!
The chorizo omelette was very tasty. Staff was kind.
I would go again, but only occasionally because of the price. The reason is there are other high-end restaurants where I could have a fancier meal for a similar price, but that said I did still enjoy the food and the experience.“
