“It’s because of Brahim, the incredible food, drinks, and ambiance that I’m happy to give five stars. Even though my friend and I waited 15 minutes before we finally flagged a server to come to our table, it was so quickly made up by Brahim’s service, charm, and attention. Clearly there must have been a miscommunication regarding who was servicing our table because once Brahim took over, we had our food in drinks in a matter of a few MINUTES! Not to mention, kindness, charm, and attentiveness. It’s such a vibe with the tropical decor, and the food was so delicious. I will be coming back!“

“This is my favorite place in the entire neighborhood! The service is wonderful, it’s small and intimate, feels like a real gem. It’s got a relaxed non-pretentious atmosphere. I come here on a whim OFTEN. Their signature drink Canelazo is the BEST cocktail i think i’ve ever tasted from anywhere, I crave it frequently, there’s just nothing like it. “Cute spot in the East Village to get a small bite or a coffee. I dropped in on a cold Winter day to get a warm empanada , which was a good idea . I ordered the Papa Con Queso (potatoes and cheese ) which they have to fry up fresh for you (other empanada are not fried.) There are cosy places to sit and several different sauces on the table (i liked the green herb one.) Staff are nice and the empanada was like $3.50. It was crispy and tasty - a nice snack if you're in the area .“

“The service was absolutely amazing. I felt like I was vip. The food was incredible. We destroyed every menu item. Every dish we ordered was delicious but if I were to rate each dish it would go: 1.pork belly sandwich, 2.the mofongo, 3.empandas and 4.tacos. Amazing atmosphere here, such a cute place. “A true authentic Dominican experience. This is the closest flavors to the food I grew up with, compared to what I've had at home and from visiting family in Dominican Republic. No gate-keeping! I want to make sure they get all the love and recognition they deserve. What incredible food, the options rotate daily, they don't have a menu. Not even sure if they have a phone, so just pop in and get your fix! The lady working the counter is incredibly sweet and you can tell cares for her patrons and the community.

I had the sancocho with rice and a mofongo de pernil, both cooked the traditional way and full of flavor. Portions were generous, everything tasted homemade and was affordable (extra charge for credit card). Simple, honest Dominican food with no frills. Would come back.“

“I stopped by this little restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. I ordered a mangú con tres golpes and it was absolutely on point, well prepared, flavorful, and just the comfort food I was craving. The jugo de Chinola was not overly sweet and it was just right and refreshing, as it should be.

The service was just as great. Yadira took care of us with a big smile, quick service, and genuine kindness that made the experience even better. For such a small spot, it really delivers in both taste and hospitality.

Had a tasty breakfast with eggs, home fries and toast along with their brewed coffee.

Fast and very pleasant service and oodles of character/atmosphere coupled with low prices. Good selection of American and Latin American items on the menu along with daily specials featuring the latter cuisine.

“Great atmosphere, with a split level bar/restaurant.
Food was great. Had the chicken empanadas to start (massive!)
For dinner, had the Tacu Tacu and my compadre had the Lomo Saltado. Both delicious and tasty dishes.
Drinks were also good. Had the Gin Mule, and a spicy tequila drink (can't remember the name). Both made with class.
Highly recommend this spot to small or medium sized groups.

Marinated grilled steak, roast chicken, fried plantains, Mofongo, fried Yucca… Everything is delicious, the restaurant is a beautiful little gem box, and the owner is elegant and wonderful.

The prices are modest we loved everything.“

“Best chicharrón you'd ever taste. I can't leave without getting some. I have 4 food spots I drive over an hour to on purpose, out of my way, to get their food; this is one of them. The staff is quick and efficient, they are always on top of everything and you be crazy not to take a step in and be hypnotized by the smells of some of the most mouth-watering flavors you'll ever try in your life.“

“1st time here to celebrate a friend's birthday. When we arrived, they were just starting to decorate for Christmas. The atmosphere was great and the music was good. However, at times, it was hard to hear. The staff were friendly, accommodating and made us feel welcome.
The food was fantastic but all the appetizers filled me so I took my steak dinner home. I had 3 drinks with the lychee martini my fav and the coconut mojito my least favorite. We wanted Pina Colada, but it wasn't frozen 😔. Hopefully next time, it will be.

Maria was incredibly helpful! She portioned out amounts for 10 people with me over the phone, organized the menu, and delivered exactly on time. My guests and I adored the mini empanadas and arroz con pollo, not to mention the plantains that are so delicious! Highly recommend <3“
