Starbucks in New York

“I came here with a friend the other day for the first time. I’m a huge Starbucks fan and the concept of a Starbucks with better selections of food and mixed drinks is spectacular. There are two floors where you can get foud ands drinks. The upper floor on street level is the prettiest with ltbe nicest bar. The one a floor below is the more basic looking bar and “restaurant” but is definitely less peopley and much quieter so we went to that one. You order from a QR code and they bring out your drinks and food. My drink was the Creme Brûlée Eggnog and was delish. The coolest thing is watching them use a culinary torch to caramelize the sugar on top! My friend thought her Pumpkin Latte was too sweet and the barista was so nice and brought another on the house. However that one was just watery. My friends first language isn’t English so there was some confusion. Just order Less syrup (one less “pump” of syrup is my advice in future. There are NO charging outlets here at all on purpose but I’m pretty sure that’s so people don’t knock up all the seats with laptops. Bummer if your phone needs juice though. Overall a good experience and will be back.“

“It's my first time visiting this location and I like the design of the space when I first walked in. And then I was welcomed by friendly staff, and even got a special treat because they were closing early. I also noticed that the store was pretty clean. Will definitely come to visit again!“

“Pleasant atmosphere, good location when you are traveling at Penn station, where you can sit down and enjoy your drink. Nice interior design and very spacious. The downside to consider: no bathroom (you can use the bathroom inside Moynihan train station), the service is very slow, I had the impression they are sleeping, waited about 10 minutes to get my order, only a few people work. However the next closest Starbucks is underground in the Penn Station and Moynihan , and you can NOT sit there to eat your meal.

“The service here is better than any Starbucks in the city. I’ve been a regular since it opened. The baristas are always friendly and welcoming with good vibes all around. My order is always excellent and fast. It’s perfect for when I just want to get my coffee and go, by ordering on the app. This location has been very well run.“

“I always order my drink and breakfast sandwich from this location every morning. The wait is never more than 5 minutes. They always greet me upon arrival and you can see how hard they work to create a welcoming environment and great experience at this location. I never go to any other starbucks because the baristas here always address me by name and never get my order wrong even when it’s busy. “This Starbucks has consistently impressed me with its exceptional customer service. As a regular, I've never had a bad experience. The store is always clean and well-organized. The drinks are fresh and the staff is incredibly friendly. It's the best Starbucks I've been to.“

“Service was a 20 out of 10, made me feel welcome and special.
Atmosphere, for a Reserve, felt more like a regular Starbucks that's been remodeled. The bar area didn't feel special or even necessary at this location.
As far as drinks, the matcha margarita gets a 20 out of 10, but the espresso martini definitely left me wanting something else. Too bitter and hardly any actual drink with alot of foam. I'll probably come back for the margarita but not the martini.“

“Good service. Nice seating options. The seating area is rectangle making this location less cozy and more appropriate for grab and go. Mix of high chairs and sofas. Restroom present. I had a pistachio latte. It was tasty, The flavors certainly reminded me of pistachio but there is a slight artificial aftertaste. For the most part, one can ignore it. This is the inherent taste of the product and not the fault of the barista.“

“I almost didn’t go because of these dramatic reviews. It’s completely fine, there’s plenty of tables, I visited at 3pm on a Saturday and had no issue finding a seat for two. No, your family of 6 can’t sit down in this restaurant. If you’re travelling solo or in a pair you’re fine.“

“I recently stopped by Starbucks for a hot latte, as it was freezing outside and I needed something to perk me up. The store was beautifully decorated for the holidays, which gave it a cozy and festive vibe. It was quite busy, with lots of other customers enjoying their drinks and snacks, but the atmosphere felt lively rather than hectic.

While waiting for my coffee, I sat on one of the bench seats, which was a comfortable touch. My latte arrived just in time, piping hot and perfect for the chilly weather. The entire experience was delightful, from the welcoming holiday ambiance to the satisfying coffee that lifted my spirits. I’ll definitely be back for more!“

“Just wanted to give a big shout out to Richie at this location. My friend and I showed up to the store maybe a hour or so before closing and I really was craving a brownie. They didn’t have anymore for the day but Richie went to the back and grabbed me one for tomorrow’s inventory. And also threw in a freebie !! Ahhh love it ! “This has been my usual Starbs haunt for a while now, and I love it! The peeps behind the counter are lovely, and the coffee is always delish. Shout out to Lauren who rocks! She always remembers my name and usual order (hot mocha, it's the way to go) and is such a joy to chat with.“

“I've been to a few Starbucks round NYC and I have to say this one is hands down the best Starbucks in the city. I almost wanted to gate keep this Starbucks all to myself and not post this review but the employees at this location are just so GENUINELY NICE. That's not normal for NYC lol. Especially shouting out the Starbucks worker that handled the cash register on 10/15/2024 around 8:30 AM (wearing a black sweater and blue pants). She was so friendly and and made every single person smile even if they came in with a stank, nasty face. I swear these people do not get paid enough. Thank you for making my day. <3 Also, the couched seating helps if you are bringing your laptop to this location to work.“

“These are just the most lovely people in the world. I go to the Starbucks probably 3 to 4 times a week because it's near my apartment and whenever I'm down and I'm in a mood I'll pop in there and the workers just always have a smile on their face and they want you to have a good day. The lady who usually works the mobile order counter tells you good morning and really means it.I know it's odd to write a review for a large chain like Starbucks, but these people really do go above and beyond to make you feel like your energized and ready to take on your day and I just feel like they need to get the credit they deserve.“

“Its a STARBUCKS hidden away from all the hustle of the NYC traffic... low traffic at my 9am visit... all your favorites in this little packed up shop... 2 blocks away from the World Trade, and around the corner from the Marriott..lots of little souvenier shops for your last minute shopping pleasure

“I am sadly disappointed at the 'revamp' Starbucks has gone through recently. The small tables dotted around feel lost and impersonal. It's not anyone's Third Place anymore, a role it used to fill so well. This is no longer a spot to gather with friends - it's a soul-less grab and go, and it is sad to see.Their one USP was their cosiness, there were always a couple of comfy chairs or a sofa, and the window bar was revolutionary in getting people to not simply get a coffee and sit staring down at it. “I had one of the best experiences I’ve had at a starbucks at this location. Katie as my cashier and she was so nice and lovely while taking my order. I was having trouble pulling up a coupon from my app and she helped me place my order with such ease and kindness. The inside space is very cozy, clean, and relaxing. My drink came out so quickly and was delicious as well( iced lavender oat matcha). Convenient spot since it’s close to the Q too. This made my day! Thank you again.“

“One of my personal favorite Starbucks! Staff are helpful and always lively and energetic. The atmosphere is great, it’s not too loud, and there are quite a few seating options available. I do suggest ordering on the app instead of in person, just for the sake of efficiency. Staff were also very nice and helpful. I ordered a chocolate croissant on the Starbucks app, but they didn’t have it so they insisted on giving me a free donut as well as a four dollar starbucks redeemable card. Great place overall!

“I visit this location every morning, and the openers at this Starbucks are truly exceptional. From the moment you walk in, they greet you with a warm smile and make you feel welcome. “Honestly this is one of my favorite Starbucks in Manhattan. The seating is spread out nicely and not too crowded in the earlier mornings. In my experience with the morning staff, I’ve always been greeted with some of the best early morning energy. There is a bathroom in this Starbucks which, well as any public restroom goes, you get what you get.
But overall this is one of my top picks. The morning staff also work FAST I often order while getting off the train at the station right next to the doors here and my drink is ready by the time I’m walking up the stairs. Little things that make the morning better.
While my experience here is mostly exclusive to the mornings I still recommend this location above the 57th and Lex location which does not have seating for example ☺️“

“My husband is a regular here. He brought our children and me to this location. We received one of the best customer experiences ever. Shout out to the entire staff, most of all... I never got her name, but she knows who she is. She made our daughter happy, and that's all that matters.“

“I’ve been to several Starbucks locations worldwide, including Bali and São Paulo airport, but this one near Wall Street stands out as the best by far. The store is nicer with a great vibe that’s perfect for grabbing a coffee before exploring nearby Battery Park and the Financial District. The service is quick and friendly, and the drinks are consistently well-made. I tried the seasonal pumpkin spice, which was perfect for October, and my go-to vanilla Frappuccino, both of which were spot on. If you’re in the area, this is a must-visit Starbucks.“

“The place is cool and has a lot more options then a regular Starbucks. But there really isn't enough seating in there. The merch is different then a typical Starbucks. Your can purchase things with the Starbucks app but you can not redeem Starbucks rewards here.“

“I’ve been in NYC for over 10 years and by far this is the best customer service. I’m a new mom, and I’ve had challenges in a select Starbucks locations where I was not given permission to use the bathroom while pregnant. At this starbucks, I felt like I was at a friend’s home. I asked the barista working if there was a diaper changing table I could use, and they went above and beyond to also bring me paper towels and additional things to help me change my baby. I’d like to recognize this starbucks for their inclusive customer service approach to mothers and children, and I hope this can be encouraged across all locations. The barista that gave me this impression and experience is named Christian. I look forward to frequently visiting, making this location my regular.“
