“This is more of a rant about the company itself not really the location that I picked.
it's a real damn shame that the company changed their policy on giving free ice water to customers on a really hot day. That's what you guys were known for and everyone loved it. Now you change the policy stating that you must buy something before you could get free water it's a ridiculous move on your part Your billion dollar company and you can't even give free water to people that can't afford to pay for Starbucks? You should be ashamed of yourself while you're sitting there and your AC and money all around you You take away a little opportunity that made you guys great away congratulations for being another money hungry company that does not give a shit about people but yourself.“

“This is one of the best Starbucks I’ve been to. All the people here are so genuinely nice, it’s become a lovely place to relax and work, and chat with them. When my bracelet broke (a gift from my mother) Gianna worked with her manager and coworkers to help me find the missing beads - it broke just as they were closing but they had the beads there for me in the morning.“

“I always go to this Starbucks, this one is different. I saw a review of how one didn’t ask for their name and it’s quite normal in that Starbucks. I always order and they never ask for my name, you just have to be careful of which order is yours. Not blaming you of course! But everybody here is very nice and friendly. Also saw another complaint about the pink drink being bad, honestly I love it. I don’t think they need any training. If you think that then think that, that one stop me or anyone else who love the pink drinks here. The point is I give this a 5 star is because—sure they don’t ask for ur name but you have to get used to it. Service here is always great and always in a good atmosphere. “Out of every Starbucks I’ve visited, the service at the Avenue J location has truly been impeccable. Every time I walk in, I’m greeted with a smile and even remembered by name, which says a lot about the care this team puts into their customers.

I remember one day I was having a really rough time and decided to pick up my usual Starbucks drink that I had ordered through the app. When I arrived, there was a sweet handwritten note on my order that simply said, “Have an amazing day Giselle.” Something so small made such a big difference for me in that moment, I almost cried.

Having worked in customer service for years, I know how rare it is to come across a team that consistently goes above and beyond. The staff at this location deserves recognition because their kindness and professionalism truly do not go unnoticed.“

Only 3 ppl working at a behind the bar, one drinks, one food, and one taking orders (helping with drinks when they have time but mostly taking orders since there is almost always a line) but a nice clean Starbucks (a fourth person cleaning)

“As a regular visitor, most of the staff already know my favorite drink and how i prefer it to be made! They always say hi, with a smile, when I first walk in. Sarah, Cuba, Alyssa, Raheem, James, Cane, Wade and others whose names i haven't remembered yet are always friendly and kind. “Can I just say I've been going to starbucks for over a decade off and on throughout the states. This location is absolutely peak. I was going their while visiting bay ridge for a few months. The barista Elizabeth is one of the best people I have ever met in my entire life. She is always greeting people as they come in. Also has a great sense of awareness. For a manager she works like its her first day. Also I cant forget about everyone else that works their. They always have a smile on. Always on point with the blonde roast. “My twins bragged about this store on 2 separate occasion. My son went in first asked for a recommendation on a good drink. He said there was a thick female who made him a drink just off his taste choice. My daughter bragged about a matcha that I’m going to assume was the same female. I went in last week and asked for a brown sugar shaken espresso. That was the best drink I’ve had in a long time. I stopped ordering the shaken espresso because of so many mistakes with order. But this! Was THEE best I’ve ever had. I’m only able to visit on the weekends as we live in Queens, but as long as I’m on this site, this will be my new Barista. Wish I’ve gotten her name. But she had bright pink hair and was the sweetest.
So now I’m sitting here wanting a brown sugar espresso and this weekend I have to be at another site. 👍🏻Nice job Miss Pinky for now until I get an actual name.“

The location for my mobile order was wrong after walking to 2 locations they were able to help here. Her name was shenel (I didn’t get the other persons name) and you can expect great service with every visit.“

“I visit this location pretty often and never experienced a bad service. All baristas are always polite and nice, ordering online was no problem either. Yes, during rush hour, ofc, your coffee won't be prepared right away, but in most cases, while I walked 7 minutes from home to the coffee shop, my coffee was already waiting for me at the counter.“

“Yes, there are rude and unkind baristas there - I will not deny that. HOWEVER, there are amazing ones. Mia and Josh are both INCREDIBLE. So sweet and kind and polite and RESPECTFUL. Always smiling, doing their job quickly and efficiently, kind to their customers, etc. If you don't like something, they will make sure to make it right for you. They always try their best. They treat you like people. I have become very good friends with them. It's always a pleasure seeing them. I am grateful for them. I honestly think they deserve a promotion and/or raise. “I don’t live nearby but have been there twice in the last month with my granddaughters aged 6 and 9. We stop for a snack after shopping before heading home. On both occasions the young women at the register were super friendly and kind. Just hoping the management will see this!“

“There is a very big parking lot next to this place and easily you can reach there in and out for the highway. There are other shops and restaurants next to it like best buy, target kohls, five guys and .. they are very fast in providing the service. The only thing is that during covid you cant sit inside the place and you can not sit outside as there are not places available. I stopped by for coffee but ended up spending a surprising amount of time looking through their collection of Starbucks location cards. I’ve visited Starbucks stores across many states, and it’s rare to see such a variety gathered in one place.
During my visit I found cards from places all over the country, including California, Texas, Colorado, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, and many other locations. For anyone who enjoys collecting Starbucks cards, this store feels like a small treasure hunt.
The staff were friendly, the store was clean, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Of course the coffee was great, but the card selection made this visit memorable.
If you're a Starbucks collector or just enjoy finding unique things while traveling, this location is definitely worth a stop.“

“Nice location.The baristas are nice, tables are clean, and food and drinks are ready fast. The music is a little loud at this location, but it’s still pretty comfortable and there’s a bathroom unlike other locations in the city. They also fill up cups properly and always add chunks of dried fruit in refreshers unlike other locations that sometimes skip that step. If they make a mistake with your drink they fix it without an attitude. There’s a nice mural on the wall too. I’ve frequented this location a lot and it’s really great. Shoutout to the team there! Please bring back the blackberry sage refresher and the pineapple dragonfruit one. They were so good. Mango dragonfruit is mid and strawberry açaí has been here forever. Not really a fan of these pop-in-mouth pearls in the summer drink. Looking forward to the next refresher.“
