“Broadway lunch has been one of my favorite places for years. Their to go orders are always perfect and always hot and very quickly prepared and ready. They have the best hotdogs and meat sauce, onion rings and coleslaw! That’s my number one order! I should branch out more, I am sure they have many more wonderful things on the menu. Along time ago I used to get their Buffalo chicken wrap which was heaven! With onions, tomatoes and the Buffalo wing sauce. Sooo good!“

“This restaurant is Schenectady’s Best kept secret. I’ve been there several times for lunch and it never disappoints. The service is spot on from when you walk in the door, no pun intended but I’m in a wheelchair(handicap accessible) to when you are leaving, opening doors and exchanging goodbye pleasantries. The place itself is immaculate, shiny floors, beautiful atmosphere, great background music and above all delicious food you know is prepared to order. While being there for lunch, I ordered off the dinner menu with no problem, as the staff is extremely accommodating. The menu includes a wide variety of options to satisfy every palate.
Next time you’re looking for a great, quiet and delicious place for lunch or dinner, give Chez Nous a try you will not be disappointed. They have private spacious rooms for small private events and I will reiterate the place is spotless and extremely comfortable with GREAT FOOD!

“Stopped tonight and we enjoyed the whole experience right from the start. Our server, Audrey, was very pleasant, and the service was fantastic. We decided to have appetizers instead of a meal. We ordered bang, bang shrimp, Buffalo chicken egg rolls and Philly steak egg rolls. All three were exceptional. I’m having a hard time deciding which I liked the best. My husband thought the Philly steak egg rolls were the best. The Manager ( or owner, not sure which) stopped by our table at the request of our waitress. I thought that was really nice. We highly recommend Maxon’s and are looking forward to going again.“

“The food was great. Parking was plentiful. However, the service was the best I've ever experienced of any establishment in this area. Our food was finished real fast and the person who served my friend and I was so easygoing and professional. Another friendly woman came along quite regularly just to offer coffee refills. It doesn't seem like much, but little things matter. The people who run BHC seem to understand that and it was such a pleasure to visit and spend money there.“

“French onion soup is AMAZING and the ruben sandwich is very tasty too. Unfortunately the calamari was a bit overcooked BUT when the owner come over to simply ask how everything was and I mentioned it, he wisked it away and returned with a different appetizer- no questions asked. That is the type of service that has kept this local hometown restaurant tops in my book.
Would hands down recommend The Charlton Tavern any day of the week.“

“Wow! What a busy night! These should be nothing but compliments for the staff, in the front of the house, and behind the scenes. It seems the autumn light show down the road has had quite an impact. We went on a whim, disregarded the suggested reservations, but were able take seats right away at the end of the bar. Best of both worlds....A little bit of patio atmosphere and dining room comfort as the temperatures began to drop. And a glimpse at the extra hard work involved this evening. Praises to Jennifer as she greeted us, offered us something to drink, and advised us if we were ordering there would be an extended wait, (a large number of parties, and parties with a large number of people, seem to have arrived all at once). She said she would rather be up front with people than to have them disappointed with a wait. The expected delay was explained to every party that entered following us It was amazing to watch the coordinated efforts of the three waitresses working as a team. There was no time for idle chit chat while disregarding the needs of customers, but there was still time for smiles and laughter. Work behind the counter was fast, deliberate, efficient and the customers had no sense of stress or overwhelm. Each interaction I overheard was friendly and attentive. Another thing that I was impressed with, especially sitting at a bar, is that with an extended wait, those who were drinking, alcoholic beverages , were not pushed or encouraged to purchase more than usual to fill the time. Therefore the environment around us remained the same. Our meals came in the time projected, (mine a crock of french onion soup and my husband, a Roadhouse burger with onion rings.) Each item as tasty as we have come to expect. I just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone for an enjoyable evening.“

“This is by far my favorite coffee shop in Telkwa and Smithers. I probably spend far too much money then I should here, but I absolutely love it. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is great, and don't even get me started on the coffee and the food. I don't know if I've had anything that I didn't like from here. I've tried pretty much everything from the pies, meat pies, the freshly made sourdough bread that is just delicious, and the burgers on Fridays. You also have things like the cookies, the brownies and so much more. On top of all of that there's even a lot that I have yet to try, the ice cream being one of them. She even went on vacation for a couple of weeks and that was probably the longest couple of weeks without a good coffee. Oh yeah and I almost forgot, the breakfast wraps are absolutely delicious. You got to try them. Try anything try everything try it all, I'm sure you'll love it.“

“Instead of recommending the restaurant or not I wish I could rate it with stars. I would give a 3.75 the food was the good. The service was good. The atmosphere was good. Nothing was stand out amazing. For the price I would think the entrees would come with a salad or bread for the table but they do not. Drinks of course were expensive as anywhere but I got the smallest pour of wine I’ve probably ever received. We went for a special occasion and I wish we would have went somewhere else. Maybe I’ll try again with friends again for lunch and hope for a better experience.“

From our hostess, Koisi who set the tone to our server, Susan, who paid attention to every detail, to the manager, Dianna, who attended to my allergy needs, this was a night to rememeber. HUGE shout out to Chef Gary and his Korean Salmon bites and penne Ala pesto! As a vegetarian who needs to be gluten free, I was floored to find a restaurant with such flavorful choices. Thank you for paying close attention to my allergy/sensitivity needs and to having the manager double check. I've never had that happen. They usually have some terrific specials in addition to the menu. Patrick will always give great advice on what to try. My wife had a huge lobster roll and I had a panko encrusted baked cod. Both were specials and both were terrific. While it’s a bit out of the way, it’s a great spot. The deck is covered and overlooks the 18th green of the golf course. Very enjoyable.“

“Its date night , so we stopped for dinner before the STYX concert and our waiter Shawn ( Sean?) was superb ! Ordered a Peach Bellini that was dynamite ! Like a frozen dessert ! Hubby had a pineapple mule that was stupendous also . The fish tacos were very good ...texture and taste were spot on . The fish and chips were excellent . The fried fish was delightfully light , not heavy . The coleslaw was bland but everything else was yummy . And finally, we had to get dessert . Decided on pineapple upside down cheesecake . “We made reservations by leaving a voice message, which we were called right back within an hour to confirm the reservation that we wanted and they were able to accommodate us. When we walked in, we were greeted by a very nice woman who brought us to our very comfortable booth, which we loved. Our server was Montana and I have to say she went above and beyond. Her service was top-notch and she should be recognized for that. She had a very bubbly personality, and she even sang me a birthday song. The food was extraordinary. The servings were absolutely huge. We were able to bring them home and put them in two Pyrex dishes that’s how much food there was. I feel like they gave us half a tray of eggplant. I mean it was a really big serving for everything I feel like that and itself having quality food and such a big quantity is really worth it, some places you pay these prices and you get very small portion where this was a whole next day dinner for our whole family. The only smallest thing we thought the breading for the eggplant and chicken parm was on the salty side but everything that didn’t have the breading was extraordinary. The tomato basil sauce was so good. The cavatelli was really good. Sauce was amazing. The bread was so fresh. I do think this is my favorite Italian restaurant in Rotterdam at this point.“

Simple no thrill diner food that’s delicious in every aspect and super affordable! It’s the place you go where everyone knows your name and order as you walk in the door. “11-14-2025 My mom had a hair appt close by today so I picked her up to have lunch at The Bellvue Cafe. She had chicken soup and a Rueben with fries. She raved about all of it. Some of the best chicken soup around imo. The fries were nice and crispy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. I loved seeing her enjoying all of her meal! I had chicken soup and the brisket pot roast. The carrots, onions, celery and taters were all cooked perfectly and not mush. The brisket was so tender I just used my fork. Mom took half her soup and Rueben home as she couldn’t finish it all. She did enjoy the rice pudding with whipped cream for dessert too. What an enjoyable day! 10 outta 10!!!!“
