“I love this place, much better than other delis in the area. However, they are a bit more pricey than the others. Bagels are always delicious and the staff are always friendly and kind. One big reason this isn’t a 5 star review is because the staff do not change their gloves regularly. They will touch cash, the register, other things around the store, and then go touch your bagel. Disgusting! Either have 1 hand for food and the other for money or just change your gloves between orders.“
“I highly recommend the Hot Onion steak sandwich...loved the lox bagels but that one with the jalapeños rules!!!“

“One of my favorite bagel cafes on Long Island and easily the best place in East Northport. They have a great selection, some highlights include egg, egg everything, tidied, everything, garlic, and salt bagels. Their lox cream cheese is amazing! This place is always busy for a reason so get here early.“

“This place is a total gem. The bagels are perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside—truly some of the best I’ve ever had. Great flavors, incredible cream cheeses, and super friendly staff. Whether you grab a quick breakfast or a loaded sandwich, you can’t go wrong. Easily the best bagel spot around.“

“If you’re in the East Northport area, and you’re looking for a real bagel, this is the spot! It’s a gem! A whole in the wall, mom and pop, old school shop, with a lack luster sign, in a tiny parking lot, makes this place easy to miss, but don’t miss it!! I’ve been getting my bagels from here for about 8 years, and it’s always been consistent.
After living on the Queens border for many years, I was shocked after moving to East Northport that many bagel shops in town don’t really make bagels. They make donut shaped bread. And most locals are so accustomed to eating this donut shaped bread, that they actually have no idea what a real bagel should taste and feel like. It’s strange. Or maybe locals settle for a less-than delicious bagel, so they can sit in a trendier setting, which I also find weird. But, I digress.
The point of all of that is to say that at Stuff-A-Bagel, you will get the closest thing to an authentic city bagel that I have found anywhere in this general area. Yes, I have tried every bagel shop in East Northport, Northport, Greenlawn and Commack. And none of the ones locals brag about even compare to this one.
When you visit Stuff-A-Bagel, your bagel will be perfectly cooked, slightly toated and “al dente” on the outside, while nice and doughy on the inside. It will have that “pop” that a bagel should. (If you know, you know.) Their bagels are delicious and addicting! Also, their cream cheese tastes homemade, as every bagel store’s should be. If you’re not making your own cream cheese, are you even a bagel store? (Tangent again, sorry.)
Also, the owners here are such lovely people. They are warm and welcoming. They value getting to know their customers, which is a rare thing nowadays. Their prices are fair, and they’ve thrown in a few freebies a couple of times, when my order was larger. And, they keep the line moving. You never have to wait long for your order. I cannot say enough about how wonderful their customer service is. Warning to those who do not like kindness and socialization: (as a previous reviewer stated) you may feel an unfamiliar feeling to interact with your fellow man. But it’s okay. You can do it.
Stuff-A-Bagel is delicious! Next time you’re on Larkfield, driving by, stop in and see for yourself. Better yet, next Saturday, grab your weekly dozen from there! When it comes to bagels, THIS is a place that people should be talking about!!!“

“I ordered through doordash; The custom options I chose for the egg sandwich were on point. The hero roll was just right (fresh and not too hard or dry) Having breakfast food delivered can be iffy (at your own risk) but the Hungryman I ordered from Bagel City Co. was excellent, best I've had since moving to the Smithtown area.“

“Super friendly service, the BEST bagels on Long Island and a warm, cozy "greasy spoon" atmosphere - Avenue Bagels has the small town charm so hard to find these days. Always clean and comfortable if you choose to sit in and stay, it almost feels like hanging out at a friend's house - my mom and dad (Bob Walsh and Margie Holly Walsh go whenever they can - and they sold me, too. Avenue Bagels is the BEST! <3“

“One of Huntington’s best traditional bagel spot with variety of cream cheeses and sandwiches. Their fresh, in-house-made bagels—especially everything and cinnamon raisin are my favorite. Aaman makes perfect Sunnyside-up and always greets with a warm smile. It's my go-to breakfast spot every morning.
Busy, but the Line moves quickly, lox sandwich with capers is highly recommended.
For Mother's Day, I ordered platters, and the salmon platter was the highlight of the gathering!“

“I had one tall looked, he appeared to be Spanish, that had NO clue what I was trying to order.
I have to repeat it three times and he still didn't get it right! The woman behind me was shaking her head and disbelief.
He never gave me a fork and knife, so I had to get up from the table and go get that. Then I told him for toast lightly toasted and he burnt it so bad, you could snap in half like a cookie. If I ever DO go back there, I will make sure that he does NOT take my order.“

“This place is absolutely fantastic, it is so much more than just a bagel shop, it's a bagel shop, bodega, deli and a Latin restaurant all in one. The food is fantastic and prices are very reasonable and Owner and Employees are very friendly, I highly recommend this place for breakfast lunch and dinner“

“The best bagels around at a reasonable price, as well as good add-ons like iced coffee, veggie cream cheese, lox, etc. The staff is friendly and make consistent efforts to get your orders right- and make things up if a mistake ended up being made. Service is quick, just be aware there can be a 20 minute line many mornings, so order ahead.“

“Literally the only deli in Kings Park, Smithtown, and Commack that has consistently given me a great Bacon Egg and Cheese for the last 5 years. With shrinkflation every nearby deli has given me nothing short of a pathetic meal. Not the Bagel King in KP though! Thanks ?“

“Our first time ordering here. The food was good, and I don't know how they're making their whipped cream but it was absolutely amazing. But I really wrote this to say a thank you to the Sunday morning staff there on 10/12. There was a mix up and we didnt get a lg part of our order. Bagel chalet had their driver drop off our missing items in less than 15mins. There's no accountability for restaurants in the age of door dash/ uber eats. Ive had entire orders swapped out and restaurants blame Uber, Uber blames the restaurant, we get a credit and no one cares where the mess up was.“

“Summary: Not perfect but good for a "treat yo self" kinda day of comfort food and loosening your purse strings. 5* for variety, 2* for pricing/value, 5* for taste, 4* for service etc
As a Celiac with nut allergies it's an incredible relief to have a place where I can feel "safe" in my food choice. Gluten free DOES NOT MEAN healthy or organic, so don't come in here expecting that. In NYC I am absolutely in love with Modern Bread and Bagel and this is the closest thing to that on LI that I've found. It's not as good of quality, the ingredients here seem a bit cheaper (more oil, more corn), so the value for your $ is debatable, but it's a huge blessing just to have variety! I picked up their Thanksgiving menu and almost cried - it's every Thanksgiving food I can never have: the biscuits, pies, croutons, stuffing, gravy.
It's expensive. GF food usually is, and I think Bare Naked is reeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaalllllly stretching it to the upper limit of what consumers consider acceptable. That said, at Modern Bread I think my bagel order is like $20, so 🤷🏻♀️ Look, it's worth the price if you're dying to have something you can NEVER have otherwise. Obviously I hate that GF stuff is so expensive in general but that's the world we live in right now.
I also dislike that not all their products have ingredients listed. Many people with a gluten allergy also have other allergies or sensitivities so it puts our minds at ease to have as much information as possible. Their menus are incomplete too - there's tea options not listed anywhere (Stash brand).
The muffin I got tasted great and was a treat. The "cafe" aspect is iffy.... I probably wouldn't come here specifically for the tea/coffee but if you're coming for the food and want a drink, it's fine. There are a lot of teas available, none of them are listed anywhere (why??????) but the counter staff knew them by memory. I don't love that my "chai latte" came as a hot tea and I was directed to put milk in myself at the accessories counter. That's not really "cafe" kinda service.
I got a muffin and a chai latte for about $8, which is all right. Some of the other products are priced way higher.“

“Only think is that the charge for a sandwich, then add $1.09 for each normal thing you would think comes with a a sandwich. Want lettuce? That's $1.09 extra. Want tomato? That's $1.09 extra. Want a side salad that you would think comes with it....nnnnope. that's another charge. I won't go back there again. Ridiculous!“

“Brendel’s Bagels in Hauppauge never disappoints! One of the best and a must-visit every time I’m on Long Island. There’s something about New York bagels; the artistry, the taste, and that classic service with a New York accent. Always fresh, flavorful, and worth the stop!“

“We ordered a variety of bagels from Bagel Express for four people visiting who had never tried true New York bagels before, and they were blown away! The bagels were perfectly chewy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with fresh flavor. Everyone loved them, and the spreads were delicious too. Bagel Express made a fantastic impression—we’ll definitely be back!“

“If you're on the hunt for the best bagels in town, look no further than Bagelicious formally Brendels ! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly baked bagels that instantly makes your mouth water.
The variety offered here is truly impressive.. Each bagel is perfectly boiled and baked to perfection, resulting in that perfect chewy texture on the inside and a delightful crispness on the outside.
What sets Bagelicious apart is their commitment to quality ingredients. The spreads, whether it's their rich cream cheese or the delightful house-made avocado spread, are flavorful and made with fresh ingredients that elevate every bite. Their sandwich options are also fantastic, with generous portions and creative combinations that keep you coming back for more!
SHOUTHOUT TO THE STAFF!!! Specially Paula and Olga . I live out of town in Virginia but my parents live in Huntington, I continuously order to go and freeeze these bagels for when I am back in VA because they are simply the best . The staff here are always friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better.
Currently my pregnant wife lives of the bagels for breakfast, Paula specifically helped me out multiple times with large orders by individually wrapping each bagel so they would not only travel easier but so I can freeze them and I know both my wife and I and future baby appreciates this. This place is awesome and you should go !!!“
