“As a first timer going into this carvel. I was so impressed. The owner is the nicest guy!! He helped me out with everything. I was also in a rush and he managed to fulfill my order within 2 minutes. I highly recommend this place! It’s such a difference when you go into a store and you either get looked at nasty or the worker is just rude. But this wasn’t the case, they were super helpful. “I had the pleasure of trying cakes from this bakery, and I was genuinely surprised by how delicious they were, especially considering they were eggless! I was introduced to this spot by a friend, and I’ll admit my expectations were low when I heard the cakes didn’t use eggs. But after one bite, I was completely won over. My absolute favorite is their butterscotch cake. It’s rich, flavorful, and perfectly moist. These cakes are so popular that slices often sell out quickly, so I highly recommend reserving ahead of time if you want to guarantee your pick.

Even their cookies are tasty, though I do think they’re a bit pricier for the quantity you get. Still, the cakes are definitely the star of the show and worth every penny.“

“We had the best experience ever with this bakery - the cake was included in our venue pricing through this bakery, and I can definitely see why! Working with Alison to schedule and have our tasting, which was just down right fun...(because of COVID we had to take our samples home... and she loaded us up with some extras to share with friends) to showing her our vision for the cake on the day of, and then actually SEEING and EATING it at our wedding was perfect all the way through. They really incorporated everything we asked for, and it was simply delicious!!! We even asked for an extra birthday cupcake for our nephew to have on the day of the wedding, and they made it sooo cute! (wish I could figure out how to add a picture here... It was SO pretty!!!)“

“Layers Bakeshop is hands down my favorite bakery. The first time I ever had Layers was actually in Pakistan, so it already held a special place for me. Later on, a close friend introduced me to the U.S. locations and fun fact, she and her brother actually own the franchise. They’ve truly done an amazing job with every store so far.

I’ve been to about three Layers locations, and while the Elmont Layers Bakeshop location is the smallest one, it’s also the closest to me, which makes it my go-to. The quality, presentation, and consistency are always on point.

Honestly, I love almost everything from this bakery, but right now my absolute favorite is anything Lotus-flavored you really can’t go wrong with it. The desserts are rich, balanced, and never disappoint.

I also noticed they’ve started making candles, which is such a smart and creative addition to the brand. It just shows how much thought they put into expanding beyond desserts while keeping the same aesthetic and quality.

If you haven’t tried Layers yet, you’re seriously missing out. Highly recommend stopping by especially the Elmont location if you’re nearby.“

It's a Coldstone Creamery, you know what you're getting into.

But the staff is exceptional, we'd been here more than a few times and always had great ice-cream. My keys stopped working and me and my fiancé were locked out of our car late at night in sub 20 below weather. The manager attempted to help us open the car, gave us shelter, and was so kind and supportive. They moved a bench inside for us, checked in and offered so much. They took care of us in more ways than not after an already long and hard day.

Outside of being a good place to get ice cream, I think any locals should support these people as much as possible.“

“The morning service here is amazing. No long line, speedy service and the music is great. There’s a girl who usually works by herself in the mornings and she handles everything so quickly while still being attentive and welcoming.
