My fiancé and I were talking to the owners and learned that opening a coffee shop was Victor’s dream. After working at his previous career for almost 30 years, he retired and opened this place. It’s charming inside and the coffee is delicious and less expensive than *$s. They are literally a mom and pop shop and after spending some time there I wanted to post to support and recommend Hard Bean to all the locals.“

“I stopped in to Emilia’s Bakehouse Café on Walt Whitman Rd in Melville yesterday (they have another location in E. Northport) and boy, was I glad I did! I entered into a well-lit shop filled with pastries, scones, cookies, brownies, croissants, breads and quiches, etc. and was greeted with enthusiasm and a smile by 2 attractive young ladies. It was a great vibe just being there, very stress relieving. The chocolate brownie is perfection in texture and taste! The scones and peanut butter coconut power bites are delicious! Their organic Colombian coffee is the bomb, and you can get it with your favorite milk - for me it’s Oat Planet oat milk. Stop in, it’ll make your day! A feast for the eyes and tastebuds :)“

“I've lived in Locust Valley for a long time! And this past Friday I visited Karmic Grind for the first time. I had a small coffee and it was excellent! I will definitely go back real soon! I have to try some of their delicious pastries.“

“Ryan, the owner, makes an amazing Vietnamese-style iced coffee. He mixes sweetened condensed milk with half and half—it’s creamy, slightly sweet, and super smooth.

My favorite flavor is hazelnut, which is brewed fresh from the bean, and the roasted flavor really comes through.

On top of that, his customer service is superb. He always greets me by name and starts making my coffee the moment I walk in—I don’t even have to order it. He treats every customer like a friend, which makes the whole experience even better.“

“I’ve came here 2 times already But the thing I most recommend is the vibe!
The whole place is super cool definitely a hidden gem. Tons of board games and arcade games to use (FOR FREE). Even a giant connect 4.
Definitely stayed there playing for a while. Also I have to say the people who work there are super nice.
So far I’ve had their Oreo bubble tea very good. And there macaroons pistachio and cookies and cream very fresh and delicious. Also I had 2 types of there dumplings I recommend the beef that one was pretty good.. (I did not care for the chicken it was just not good it tasted like curry, very weird it also made my stomach feel bad). This place is more if you have a sweet tooth..
I’m dying to try there waffle croissants they have so many toppings.. I will definitely be back !“

“Small very cute cafe in heart of Northport Village. Scone was as good as any I ever had, including London. Once you have their coffee, you will not go back to Starbucks, in my opinion. Fantastic coffee and the price can't be beat!!! You get a full pound, not 10 or 12oz and you can get any flavor imaginable. They have dozens of flavors of your into that. I've tried a bunch with only a rare few that I didn't care for. I now but 5 lb bags each time as I've been brewing lots more coffee!!! Terrific coffee. I've been using my farberware perc pot that makes a fantastic pot of coffee and makes it super hot!!!!“

From the black and white checkered floor to the murals on the walls, the vintage looking tables and chairs to the fun gelato display case (which was nice and low for little ones to be able to choose from) the decorated garage door which let in so much light to the retro cola display fridge, everything was so well thought out and just a lot of fun. Also, I tried a new drink today and it was a bit too milky for me and the staff happily agreed to adding an additional espresso shot for free. I had the fried whiting with french fries (the fries and the seasoned batter on the fish was also delicious). My daughter had the vegetable omelet with pepper jack cheese. I tasted her food and had to get an order of that omelet with home fries to go. The ladies in the back doing the cooking has been blessed to serve as well as cook. My food was served hot and that was definitely a plus. Trust me try the place you won't be disappointed. The server Dave was very accommodating and definitely earned his tip. My two favorites are the pistachio and rainbow cookie gelato ?.. they also have a nice selection of pastries / cakes. If you have a sweet tooth the cannoli creme filled lobster tails were amazing as was the rainbow cookie cheese cake! I was confused by the huge selection of açaí bowls and had many questions and they were happy to answer them with no hesitation.I eventually chose my açaí bowl and it was very flavorful filled with fresh fruit and delicious. Staff was helpful with rules, all game components were in great condition, even upgraded with necessary overlays for the particular game (Terraforming Mars). Great refreshment options available, even happened to have one of my favorite summer beers. The cafe is very well kept, tables and general space is very clean. The games are well organized with color coded labels for game type. Incredible selection of games for playing as well as purchase, including a sale table! I only wish we lived closer.
