“While we have always enjoyed our meals at The Mansard in the past, our last two visits have been uninspiring. Our most recent visit on 8/3 was average at best. The bartender had BOTH sliding glass doors (no screens) open in the bar area causing swarms of flies to circle us our ENTIRE meal, in the dining area. Although friendly, our waitress said there were no specials that evening, after I specifically asked what the specials were. I overheard other waitresses telling patrons what the specials were, so I knew there WERE specials. The musty smell of the stained drapery needs to be replaced ASAP, as the odor hits you as soon as you get to the front door. Please be better and ACT like the "fine" dining restaurant you want to be! Very disappointed...The food is the ONLY thing worth coming to The Mansard for...We miss Steve!!“

“The food (especially the Boquerones and the Bahn Mi) were fantastic! Also the staff was so friendly and helpful toward our three liquored up friends. The atmosphere was incredible and I would recommend everyone try this place for a lovely casual dinner or a drunk evening out with friends.“

“I had the best burger of my LIFE at 189, thanks to Jay! The bourbon onion burger he crafted for me was truly a masterpiece. Even the fries were memorable: crisp and tasty. Their servers are extremely professional and courteous without being stiff--a rare combination indeed.
I'm not a whiskey drinker, but their beer selection is very adequate. This is the place to eat in East Aurora.“

“I alway enjoy whatever cocktail I get from Ballyhoo, and my last visit there was no different. One of the best bars in town in my opinion with very reasonably priced drinks and excellent customer service. Not a very large bar space, but definitely worth checking out. They do serve a limited food menu as well, but I have not tried any yet.“

“Went there before a play for dinner at Shea's Buffalo. This place is on the Chippewa bar strip, so we were not expecting much. Walking inside, it looks like a typical party/cocktail bar, brick walls, long bar, and tables opposite the bar with plastic chairs and Formica tables, so you are sitting in the bar. At 5:30PM on restaurant week before a nearby playing of Hamilton, we were the only diner's there (and only 4 others at the bar). Now the good part.... one of the best meals I have had in a long time!!!!! Waitress/bartender was prompt, attentive and friendly. The special for restaurant week that we had was $35 for soup/salad (I had soup), Duck with asparagus, yams, sprouts and and pie for dessert. This meal was fabulous! Perfect portion and perfect flavor. The caramel/peanut butter pie was luscious! On top of all this, we were there during happy hour, so $3 a beer. I highly recommend trying this place to eat, just don't expect a cozy, intimate atmosphere. You won't be disappoints, and you won't be broke.“

“Hosted a party for 40 people in their back room and they were so lovely and easy to coordinate with! Tony was amazing in the booking process and worked with us to create a delicious vegetarian menu and our bartender Edie was amazing. Highly recommend for a private party (max 50ish people probably).“

“We’ve been here for the last two years of our anniversary and to celebrate our engagement, and went back for my partners birthday. They truly saved the day after we were saddened by going to Coco Bar & Bistro’s service, we tried here again and it was one of the best meals we’ve had in buffalo. I had the winter chowder and my partner had the maple dijon glazed pork belly and both were phenomenal. and the wait staff was so nice!“

“Since I became extremely lactose intolerant, eating out is always a disappointment. Not here! I could trust everything on the menu. “Got stranded at Christmas 2022. This hotel staff is absolutely amazing!! Very accommodating, super helpful. Other hotels are running out of food and these guys are making breakfast and a dinner for everyone. It’s truly an amazing crew. They are stranded with us and dealing with all the stress yet have a smile on their face!! A can not recommend this place enough, just because of the staff. “The Celtic Menu was planned for this week and a friend and I ordered the Seafood light cream soup and Fall salad with romaines, toasted hazelnuts, grilled orange slices,et cetera to start ! Each was so very delicious ! Before that we were given their complimentary amusebusce ( sp.? ) of their homegrown cherry tomatoes, flavored butter and asparagus. The breadbasket had Irish soda bread,and one other roll. My entree was two pieces of beautifully fried fish, and shoestring French fries,and Cole slaw. Best that I’ve ever had ! Another entree was a lamb pasty with vegetables. The crust was marvelous and the lamb gently seasoned. We could not resist the ‘pot pie’ on a light,crust with delicious vegetables. 2 desserts were offered but we must leave room for those on another visit ! The chef takes time to come out to the tables to check about the food,and the staff is VERY attentive . This was a wonderful experience, as every time we attend ! Treat yourself !“

“This place was in my hotel, Millennium, and it was a great experience!!! The food was actually tremendous. I had a drink, a shrimp cocktail, a couple of wines and the chicken parm. Everything was great!! My server, Hallie McKinnie, was absolutely the best and nicest server I can ever remember!!! Food, ambiance, service were again, top notch!!! This was better than a lot of restaurants I have eaten at. the shrimp cocktail was the best also!!!! Very cool place. they could up their wine list but that's not a big thing here in Buffalo...... Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and even changed the channel for us on the TV closest to us. The Kobe beef burger was phenomenal! Highly recommend. “I really love this place. Like, if they let me move in - I would. Gin is my drink of choice and they make the best in the city. They produce some great cocktail menus without being showboats or overcharging for their product. Bartenders and staff have always been super friendly and attentive. Some nights have DJS or dance parties, and some nights it is just some throwback 90's music. In the summer, sitting outside is a treat. You are steps away from the bar, and yet so emerged in the beauty that is downtown Buffalo. If you are not a spirit drinker, they also feature a tap board of 6-7 beers, with a mix of local and domestic. But really, as a beer drinker, I still say - order the Negroni.“

“My wife and I went tonight to have a nice dinner. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. My wife had the two way French onion soup. Both were excellent, we even got an extra to take home to my son and he loved it as well. I had never had a roasted salad before and am definitely glad I tried it. The roasting adds a nice twist to it. Both of our entrees were also extremely well made and delicious. We also very much enjoyed the atmosphere. Overall a really great dining experience. We even had a slight mishap that was very flukey. The owner handled it immediately and went above and beyond in doing so. If you’re looking for a nice sit down restaurant, we would highly recommend it and we will definitely be back.“

“Went to celebrate a friends job promotion and had a wonderful time here. I had the P250 burger, which was not only reasonably priced for this place but very delicious. Really enjoyed the shoestring fries as well and trying a different appetizers that were ordered for the table. Though I’m completely blanking on our servers name, he was fantastic and so accommodating for our party.“

“We were in food heaven. I brought my father and brother here for my dad's early birthday dinner. They are from out of town. We had originally picked a different spot, but the wait was long, so we wound up here, and I'm sooooo happy about it. We had a little bit of everything. Our server was so accommodating with how she brought out our mass amounts of food. The cleanest fried food I've ever had. Fresh, full seafood. More seafood than batter. Very flavorful. I picked up a rib and it fell right off the bone. Best crab cake ive had since Maryland. Mostly meat, not filler. We are all happily eating lots of left overs. This is one of my new fav spots when I have visitors. The lake view and breeze as you walk out makes it even more wonderful. Five star food, five star service“

“We got the egg roll appetizer, the oxtails, and the shrimp &grits. Everything was fantastic, and perfectly spiced; as we observed, there was no salt-n-pepper shakers on the table, because everything was excellent! (but give the pineapple chutney a bit more kick!) we got a variety of drinks; the draft beer wasn't especially cold, but I wasn't there for the beer! The cocktails we got were all excellent. Our only real complaint was the service, or pack thereof. We went on a slow day (Wednesday). It was empty except for us; as in, we were the only patrons there, for our entire meal. There was a waiter and waitress that spent the hour we were there on their phones, at the bar, in plain view of us. We waited for our first drink, we heard the cook hit the bell announcing our food was ready, and the waiter just stayed on his phone for 4-5 minutes, until a cook came out, shrugged his shoulders, like, what the hey?!?! That being said, EVERYTHING we tried, foodwise and drink wise was fantastic. Just don't be in a hurry.“

“very pricey and small portions..coworker got steak in the grass sandwich and sweet potato fries and with tax and takeout fee it was 24 dollars..souvlaki wrap and fries was 17 dollars..a super basic cold tuna sandwich with fries was 16 dollars..this place used to be great but has went downhill the past few years..they've lost my business“

“I’ve always had a great experience - the entire staff is “to blame” for that! Always had friendly service- even if the person walking by is not our server - they always smile and make eye contact, food has always been delicious. I’ve been there a few times with people who’ve never been- and we’ve always left with them talking about what a great choice of restaurant. Keep it up!!“
