“While we have always enjoyed our meals at The Mansard in the past, our last two visits have been uninspiring. Our most recent visit on 8/3 was average at best. The bartender had BOTH sliding glass doors (no screens) open in the bar area causing swarms of flies to circle us our ENTIRE meal, in the dining area. Although friendly, our waitress said there were no specials that evening, after I specifically asked what the specials were. I overheard other waitresses telling patrons what the specials were, so I knew there WERE specials. The musty smell of the stained drapery needs to be replaced ASAP, as the odor hits you as soon as you get to the front door. Please be better and ACT like the "fine" dining restaurant you want to be! Very disappointed...The food is the ONLY thing worth coming to The Mansard for...We miss Steve!!“

“The food (especially the Boquerones and the Bahn Mi) were fantastic! Also the staff was so friendly and helpful toward our three liquored up friends. The atmosphere was incredible and I would recommend everyone try this place for a lovely casual dinner or a drunk evening out with friends.“

“Dining at 189 Burger was an absolute joy from start to finish! As soon as we walked in, the lovely hostess Mikayla greeted us with a warm smile and seated us right away. Almost instantly, we had refreshing glasses of water in front of us, followed closely by expertly crafted cocktails that set the mood just right. Our server, Maddie, was a true gem—always attentive and cheerful. She took our food orders the moment we felt ready, making the whole experience feel seamless and enjoyable. The food was delicious, my husband ordered the pot roast dip while I ordered the bourbon onion burger. It's safe to say we left with smiles on our faces!“

“We’ve been here for the last two years of our anniversary and to celebrate our engagement, and went back for my partners birthday. They truly saved the day after we were saddened by going to Coco Bar & Bistro’s service, we tried here again and it was one of the best meals we’ve had in buffalo. I had the winter chowder and my partner had the maple dijon glazed pork belly and both were phenomenal. and the wait staff was so nice!“

“My husband and I went to the Dog Bar last Thursday. The person who returned my call for a reservation gave us a very nice table - I had wanted a quiet table for two. The waitress, Anne (I think I got the name right), was fantastic with a nice personality. She answered any questions about the menu perfectly and her timing with the courses was spot-on. The steaks were cooked as requested. The atmosphere was nice and cozy and there were so many interesting things to read and look at on the walls that if conversation isn't your thing, you could amuse yourself by looking around. All-in-all, we had a really nice time and we both enjoyed our meals. Thank you to the friendly staff and good chefs at the Dog Bar!“

“I alway enjoy whatever cocktail I get from Ballyhoo, and my last visit there was no different. One of the best bars in town in my opinion with very reasonably priced drinks and excellent customer service. Not a very large bar space, but definitely worth checking out. They do serve a limited food menu as well, but I have not tried any yet.“

“Went there before a play for dinner at Shea's Buffalo. This place is on the Chippewa bar strip, so we were not expecting much. Walking inside, it looks like a typical party/cocktail bar, brick walls, long bar, and tables opposite the bar with plastic chairs and Formica tables, so you are sitting in the bar. At 5:30PM on restaurant week before a nearby playing of Hamilton, we were the only diner's there (and only 4 others at the bar). Now the good part.... one of the best meals I have had in a long time!!!!! Waitress/bartender was prompt, attentive and friendly. The special for restaurant week that we had was $35 for soup/salad (I had soup), Duck with asparagus, yams, sprouts and and pie for dessert. This meal was fabulous! Perfect portion and perfect flavor. The caramel/peanut butter pie was luscious! On top of all this, we were there during happy hour, so $3 a beer. I highly recommend trying this place to eat, just don't expect a cozy, intimate atmosphere. You won't be disappoints, and you won't be broke.“

“Since I became extremely lactose intolerant, eating out is always a disappointment. Not here! I could trust everything on the menu. I took a vegetarian friend and one with no food restrictions and we loved everything we ordered. Super friendly staff, great service and the food was outstanding. Mac and cheese, yes please!“

“Went to brunch today with my 8 month old daughter and mother and the staff was more than accommodating. Gloria,Gracie and Glory were all beyond helpful and kind. They were full of smiles and had positive attitudes the whole time. I am actively nursing and they offered a banker room for me to pump so I can do it comfortably. The restaurant was clean,neat and the food was also delicious. 10 out of 10 recommend and will be coming back!“

“Got stranded at Christmas 2022. This hotel staff is absolutely amazing!! Very accommodating, super helpful. Other hotels are running out of food and these guys are making breakfast and a dinner for everyone. It’s truly an amazing crew. They are stranded with us and dealing with all the stress yet have a smile on their face!! A can not recommend this place enough, just because of the staff. Merry Christmas and thank you so very very much!!!“

“The Celtic Menu was planned for this week and a friend and I ordered the Seafood light cream soup and Fall salad with romaines, toasted hazelnuts, grilled orange slices,et cetera to start ! Each was so very delicious ! Before that we were given their complimentary amusebusce ( sp.? ) of their homegrown cherry tomatoes, flavored butter and asparagus. The breadbasket had Irish soda bread,and one other roll. My entree was two pieces of beautifully fried fish, and shoestring French fries,and Cole slaw. Best that I’ve ever had ! Another entree was a lamb pasty with vegetables. The crust was marvelous and the lamb gently seasoned. We could not resist the ‘pot pie’ on a light,crust with delicious vegetables. 2 desserts were offered but we must leave room for those on another visit ! The chef takes time to come out to the tables to check about the food,and the staff is VERY attentive . This was a wonderful experience, as every time we attend ! Treat yourself !“

“This place was in my hotel, Millennium, and it was a great experience!!! The food was actually tremendous. I had a drink, a shrimp cocktail, a couple of wines and the chicken parm. Everything was great!! My server, Hallie McKinnie, was absolutely the best and nicest server I can ever remember!!! Food, ambiance, service were again, top notch!!! This was better than a lot of restaurants I have eaten at. the shrimp cocktail was the best also!!!! Very cool place. they could up their wine list but that's not a big thing here in Buffalo...... Quiet atmosphere, fast service and really good food. Usually I second-guess burgers made with any BBQ sauce for being too sweet. But this one, was just right. It was sweet but the tanginess of the sauce made a perfect balance!“

“My wife and I went tonight to have a nice dinner. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. My wife had the two way French onion soup. Both were excellent, we even got an extra to take home to my son and he loved it as well. I had never had a roasted salad before and am definitely glad I tried it. The roasting adds a nice twist to it. Both of our entrees were also extremely well made and delicious. We also very much enjoyed the atmosphere. Overall a really great dining experience. We even had a slight mishap that was very flukey. The owner handled it immediately and went above and beyond in doing so. If you’re looking for a nice sit down restaurant, we would highly recommend it and we will definitely be back.“

“I really love this place. Like, if they let me move in - I would. Gin is my drink of choice and they make the best in the city. They produce some great cocktail menus without being showboats or overcharging for their product. Bartenders and staff have always been super friendly and attentive. Some nights have DJS or dance parties, and some nights it is just some throwback 90's music. In the summer, sitting outside is a treat. You are steps away from the bar, and yet so emerged in the beauty that is downtown Buffalo. If you are not a spirit drinker, they also feature a tap board of 6-7 beers, with a mix of local and domestic. But really, as a beer drinker, I still say - order the Negroni.“

“Went to Betty’s today for a little brunch/lunch today! We had Brian as our server, he was super attentive, gave great recommendations, and kept our waters refilled (huge plus). The portions were perfect if not bigger than we could eat. We enjoyed the patio and being able to eat outside. Definitely will be back!“

Really enjoyed the shoestring fries as well and trying a different appetizers that were ordered for the table. “I went here for the first time by myself probably around 3:30pm. I got sat down right away. The waitress check on me multiple times and was really nice. I got a bacon cheeseburger and it tasted like it’s homemade. I sat facing towards a window that you could see the lake out of. There’s a lounge side and a dinner side and I sat in the lounge side.“

“very pricey and small portions..coworker got steak in the grass sandwich and sweet potato fries and with tax and takeout fee it was 24 dollars..souvlaki wrap and fries was 17 dollars..a super basic cold tuna sandwich with fries was 16 dollars..this place used to be great but has went downhill the past few years..they've lost my business“

“I’ve always had a great experience - the entire staff is “to blame” for that! Always had friendly service- even if the person walking by is not our server - they always smile and make eye contact, food has always been delicious. I’ve been there a few times with people who’ve never been- and we’ve always left with them talking about what a great choice of restaurant. Keep it up!!“
