“While we have always enjoyed our meals at The Mansard in the past, our last two visits have been uninspiring. Our most recent visit on 8/3 was average at best. The bartender had BOTH sliding glass doors (no screens) open in the bar area causing swarms of flies to circle us our ENTIRE meal, in the dining area. Although friendly, our waitress said there were no specials that evening, after I specifically asked what the specials were. I overheard other waitresses telling patrons what the specials were, so I knew there WERE specials. The musty smell of the stained drapery needs to be replaced ASAP, as the odor hits you as soon as you get to the front door. Please be better and ACT like the "fine" dining restaurant you want to be! Very disappointed...The food is the ONLY thing worth coming to The Mansard for...We miss Steve!!“

“The food at Beacon Grille is amazing, we love the charred octopus every time, The duck was outstanding as well. We both had 2 rounds of the downtown cheerio which was a fun nod to the city, what really stood out to me, though, was the attention to detail, I watched the restaurant manager meticulously measure each table with a tape measure to ensure they were perfectly spaced, and even the placement of the silverware and napkins were exact. That level of care is shown with every part of the dining experience, you can tell this team takes pride in what they do.“

“I alway enjoy whatever cocktail I get from Ballyhoo, and my last visit there was no different. One of the best bars in town in my opinion with very reasonably priced drinks and excellent customer service. Not a very large bar space, but definitely worth checking out. They do serve a limited food menu as well, but I have not tried any yet.“

“Students do an excellent job and will be fine additions to any establishment. Before going to the Sabres game, having lunch with the culinary students of ECC. Pear-gorganzola with crispy prosciutto, Osso Bucco veal shanks, limoncello Semifreddo and fresh bread with garlic butter and pesto. Sometimes I'm hesitant to tell you where the good stuff is, because you have to make reservations and I don't want it to get over crowed as it does sometimes 😆“

“This place was in my hotel, Millennium, and it was a great experience!!! The food was actually tremendous. I had a drink, a shrimp cocktail, a couple of wines and the chicken parm. Everything was great!! My server, Hallie McKinnie, was absolutely the best and nicest server I can ever remember!!! Food, ambiance, service were again, top notch!!! This was better than a lot of restaurants I have eaten at. the shrimp cocktail was the best also!!!! Very cool place. they could up their wine list but that's not a big thing here in Buffalo...... “Stopped in on a Tuesday evening. Had a great meal. The corn chowder was superb. The chef made a special strawberry and feta salad for me. Husband had a burger that was delicious. We have had Cosmopolitans at many Buffalo bars, and these were some of the best. We were happy to meet Tony. He has been a customer at our business and we were happy to enjoy a meal at his business.“

“Went there before a play for dinner at Shea's Buffalo. This place is on the Chippewa bar strip, so we were not expecting much. Walking inside, it looks like a typical party/cocktail bar, brick walls, long bar, and tables opposite the bar with plastic chairs and Formica tables, so you are sitting in the bar. At 5:30PM on restaurant week before a nearby playing of Hamilton, we were the only diner's there (and only 4 others at the bar). Now the good part.... one of the best meals I have had in a long time!!!!! Waitress/bartender was prompt, attentive and friendly. The special for restaurant week that we had was $35 for soup/salad (I had soup), Duck with asparagus, yams, sprouts and and pie for dessert. This meal was fabulous! Perfect portion and perfect flavor. The caramel/peanut butter pie was luscious! On top of all this, we were there during happy hour, so $3 a beer. I highly recommend trying this place to eat, just don't expect a cozy, intimate atmosphere. You won't be disappoints, and you won't be broke.“

“Like a light at the end of a dark tunnel, Rodney’s came to the rescue! We initially went for lunch at a very new, trendy new spot on Lakeshore Road. After a 20 minute wait, we were seated. The place was so loud! No band. No loud music. Just loud everything else. People talking, dishes clanking and who knows what else, it was so loud. There’s no way you could carry on a conversation without shouting. So we left right away. Next we tried a popular seafood restaurant nearby and were treated like second-class citizens just by inquiring how long the wait was. Out of there. Rodney’s was almost across the street so we went there. Best idea ever! Our hostess was friendly. Our server was a hoot. Funny, helpful and got everything exactly right. The food was excellent too. A cozy, clean spot right by the lake. I recommend Rodney’s highly.“

“Went to Betty’s today for a little brunch/lunch today! We had Brian as our server, he was super attentive, gave great recommendations, and kept our waters refilled (huge plus). The portions were perfect if not bigger than we could eat. We enjoyed the patio and being able to eat outside. Definitely will be back!“

“Got stranded at Christmas 2022. This hotel staff is absolutely amazing!! Very accommodating, super helpful. Other hotels are running out of food and these guys are making breakfast and a dinner for everyone. It’s truly an amazing crew. They are stranded with us and dealing with all the stress yet have a smile on their face!! A can not recommend this place enough, just because of the staff. Merry Christmas and thank you so very very much!!!“

“Went to brunch today with my 8 month old daughter and mother and the staff was more than accommodating. Gloria,Gracie and Glory were all beyond helpful and kind. They were full of smiles and had positive attitudes the whole time. I am actively nursing and they offered a banker room for me to pump so I can do it comfortably. The restaurant was clean,neat and the food was also delicious. 10 out of 10 recommend and will be coming back!“

“I wasn’t sure what to expect- I found the place on google while I was searching for a fun place to take my wife on Valentine’s Day that we’ve never been to. Looked cute in the pictures, so figured would give it a shot…and I am so so so happy we did! It has an incredible rustic feel (being an actual old Mill that’s almost 200 years old) and a warm a cozy vibe. The hostess was very kind, and sat us immediately, even though we were a tad early for our reservation. My wife was super excited because there was a working wood-burning stove right next to our table and it was so calming and toasty! The waitress was a delight, and incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Since it was V-Day they had a special menu for the night, and I promise every option looked incredible- it was really hard to choose! Needless to say, the Steak I ordered was truly one of the best I’ve ever had. It was cooked to perfection. The drink menu has some delicious options as well, and fit the vibe perfectly! For desert I got this insane Apple Fritter + ice cream bowl that really blew me away. If I wasn’t so full, I would’ve ordered a second it was so good! Such an awesome place. I’m very excited to go back again. It is easily the best Google search I’ve ever made for a restaurant!“

“very pricey and small portions..coworker got steak in the grass sandwich and sweet potato fries and with tax and takeout fee it was 24 dollars..souvlaki wrap and fries was 17 dollars..a super basic cold tuna sandwich with fries was 16 dollars..this place used to be great but has went downhill the past few years..they've lost my business“

Always had friendly service- even if the person walking by is not our server - they always smile and make eye contact, food has always been delicious.
