“Probably the best “upscale” restaurant in and around Woodstock. Great atmosphere, very Manhattan like, and you will also have to pay city prices. However, the food is totally worth it from the quality you get, preparation, presentation, and of course taste. The only thing that wasn’t my cup of tea was the rose water infused dessert. I’m not a big fan of “infused desserts” in general and also this one couldn’t convince me otherwise. Will definitely come back when in Woodstock! Also: make reservations. The place fills up even on a regular weekday.“

“This was our second visit to Miss Lucy's. We were here in 2021 , too. We had the PLT which was like a BLT but with pork belly. It had a nice sauce on it. We had it with fries. We share the same with a bowl of tomato bisque. It was creamy and tasty. Don't miss it if you like tomato bisque. The homemade lemonade complements it will. We ended with sharing mocha crème d'pot. The creamy top was awesome for both of us. I am not a fan of coffee so I didn't eat the bottom portion of the dessert. The service was good and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting.“

“My boyfriend and I went today for lunch and some drinks. We both enjoyed the Asian wings, the flavor was different and quite good. He ordered a burger (topped with pepper jack and avocado, and cooked medium rare) with fries and enjoyed both. I ordered a short rib sandwich with fries. The fries were freshly cut, my favorite! And the short rib sandwich was so good that I only offered him ONE bite of it. The rest was for me ?. “The four of us had a wonderful evening at the Universal Cafe last night. Dinner was absolutely delicious, creatively composed, and I can’t wait to return. Located in Germantown, NY only 30 minutes away from Rhinebeck, it’s a hidden gem that was the perfect spot on a cold Winter’s night. I started my meal with thinly sliced sweet Cara Cara oranges on a pool of peppery olive oil with crushed pistachios served ice cold… so refreshing after the decadent pâté appetizer. My cod entree was beautifully cooked and served with a silky root vegetable purée. The chocolate pot de crème finished the meal and was so good. The portions were generous, the prices very reasonable, and our server was super charming. Thank you for a wonderful night!“

This morning I got an egg and Asiago sandwich with avocado and homemade sausage that they make there! It was (and always is,) delicious! “I had been to the Rooster many times for beers with friends. Always friendly bartenders, cold beer and cool atmosphere. This past weekend was my first visit here strictly for dinner (of course I had a few adult cocktails as well). With our 8 year old son in tow, we stopped in on a Thursday night around 6pm. There is a family friendly dining area as you come in the door and we were greeted and seated right away. Waitress grabbed our drink order as our son was given crayons and a kids menu. A few other families were there with their kids and numerous crayon drawings adorning the walls reassured us that this was a family restaurant. Nice menu with good variety of pub grub. It was wing night so "When in Rome". There was an all you can eat offering but neither of us had that kind of appetite so we opted for an order of boneless wings each. I got the Nashville hot and she got the Hot Buffalo. The portions were large and the sauces were great. The Nashville is a bit on the tamer side of hot and the hot buffalo was both hot and tasty. Definitely get the wings. We also got an order of the Rooster Balls. For the record, these are not actually the balls of a rooster. Chunks of white chicken wrapped in bacon and cheese and fried served with a remoulade side sauce. I'm drooling as I type that. Our son got the adult version of the chicken tenders with fries on the side. He seemed to enjoy the tenders but the fries were the star of the night. We basically cleaned his plate for him as they were cut and cooked perfectly. To summarize, great for drinks and great for a family night out. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and delicious grub. Plenty of parking, not far off the highway. And as my son would say "free wifi!". We will be back often.“

“Was visiting saugerties for the weekend and was craving a burger. I'm so glad I found this place! Jerry the bartender was beyond attentive and friendly. The burger and fried cauliflower were so good! This is definitely a local type place but that is probably why I liked it to so much“

I had a fantastic Cobb salad and munched away with superbly grilled chicken and the eggs were unbelievable…didn’t know food could be so excitable especially since they make their own pasta! “Brine Barrel is my exact favorite kind of shop. Most places try to offer a million and a half different things and do most of them okay.Not Brine Barrel. He does like 10 things, and they are all fantastic.The pickles will absolutely destroy anything mass produced. You don't know what you are missing until you have had hand made small batch.The pepper shooters are absolutely must-try. An explosion of savory salty flavors.The sandwiches are good quality, and really well thought out on how much of each ingredient they have. He cuts the more expensive cured meats thick which makes a huge difference to the texture.The place is great. Give it a shot.“

“I had the Burrata, the steak frites and the apple crumble.The burrata with olives and sourdough bread was surprisingly good. The bread was extraordinary, definitely not what i expected. The steak was so so... it was a flatiron, so expectstions weren't too high. But the dessert was again a positive surprise. Really tasty with some ice cream on top. Enjoyed that a lot. All in all, i didn't expect such a good experience there but would come again. I just think the prices are a little high, but then again, food and service was very good.“

The half chicken dish is simply unbelievable - in a class of its own.If there were any disappointments it was only because many other dishes performed so well. “Stella’s is the place to go when it gets warm enough to sit outside and enjoy the evening. Went the other night with the wife and had a quick bite. We orders the cheese curds for an app and they are a must to order. Got they have a little kick with the side sauce. So I went and filled an application out for the Home Health Care Aide and I did my interviews and met with the manager Brooke and started not to soon after- one of the best decisions I’ve ever made was going in and filling the application out - Vitaliy and his managers Brooke and Julie are all the best people to work for! They actually acknowledged me not even a month into working for him about how good I’m doing - that meant everything to me, the fact that they pay attention and care about their employees and clients and also customers is a beautiful rare thing.The restaurant is a very homey place. I’m new and my husband is a veteran and he has a hard time being around people and even he loves it. My kids love going to play ping pong while the adults play pool and listen to music. It’s just an amazing atmosphere with people who make you feel like your family. My family lost everything to hurricane Ian in Florida and had to move back and the employees AND THE CUSTOMERS ( I’m telling you once you meet them and they like you and you them it’s a family - they look out for each other!! ) all rallied up to make sure we have what we needed for our apartment.I am a very outspoken, outgoing, blunt, rare individual and I’m very opinionated- I would not lie to anyone about anything- but I PROMISE you that you will love the Bar/Restaurant and everyone inside it.Thank You to everyone for making us feel welcomed! “I just moved to Catskill; a mile up the road from this fine establishment. After unpacking, my friend and I stopped into Mike's Diner and my initial experience was a feeling of comfort. The rustic atmosphere gave me a sense of warmth and nostalgia. People at the barstool countertop were eating breakfast; conversating amongst themselves while the families and friends at the tables joyfuly did the same.
