“First time ordering take out from here since it’s been under new management. We ordered the Brooklyn pizza (thin square pie) and a large pie (half regular/ half pepperoni). The round pie was very good. Sauce had a nice tang, was thing and had a nice crunch. The show stopper was the Brooklyn Pie. My goodness, was it absolutely delicious. The sauce was more robust, had a bite to it and the pie was thin and crunchy. Absolutely amazing. My wife and I nearly ate the entire pie between the two of us. We will definitely be going back!“
“We had brunch to celebrate my husband's birthday at Apropos Restaurant at The Abbey Inn and had a fabulous time. Our server Grisel was AMAZING! The food was exquisitely delicious. Drinks were phenomenal. We had such a wonderful time! The grounds is very picturesque! We will be back for a weekend stay with friends to enjoy the spa and get the full experience. Thank you again for an incredible time!“
“Taormina, nestled in the picturesque town of Peekskill, New York, is an Italian restaurant that truly stands out. Located in a classic, historic building by the harbor of the Hudson River, this restaurant offers not just a meal but a memorable dining experience. The ambiance at Taormina is warm and welcoming, with a touch of old-world elegance that transports you straight to Italy. The view of the Hudson River adds a serene and scenic backdrop to the delightful dining experience. Now, let's talk about the food, which is nothing short of spectacular. The pasta dishes at Taormina are a revelation, with each homemade creation offering a taste of Italian craftsmanship at its finest. The flavors are balanced, the textures are divine, and the overall experience is one of pure culinary bliss. The salmon and overall seafood deserve a special mention. Cooked to perfection, it was tender, flavorful, and simply fantastic. It's a must-try for seafood lovers and a testament to the chef's skill in handling diverse ingredients. In addition, the chicken parmesan is a standout dish that impressed me deeply. The chicken was tender and juicy, encased in a crispy, golden coating, and smothered in a rich, flavorful tomato sauce topped with melted cheese. It was, in a word, delicious. I've heard the pizza is great, but I will have to try that next time. But that's not all—the appetizers and drinks at Taormina are equally remarkable. Each appetizer is a work of art (get the rollatini, stromboli, or arancini's), beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, setting the stage for the culinary delights that follow. The drinks, expertly mixed and perfectly balanced, complement the meal and elevate the dining experience, along with a great wine list. Outstanding.Despite any negative reviews you might come across, my experience at Taormina was exceptional from start to finish. The service was attentive, the food was outstanding, and the overall atmosphere was delightful. It's a reminder that personal experience is the true measure of a restaurant's worth.Overall, Taormina is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an authentic Italian dining experience in Peekskill. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this restaurant promises to delight your senses with its tremendous pasta, salmon, chicken parmesan, appetizers, and drinks. Don't miss the chance to dine in this historic building by the harbor; it's an experience you'll treasure.“
“Great place to eat if you've got some time! Food takes a while to come out (45 minutes, even with two tables of customers), but is delicious. Partner had the Mahi Mahi, and I had the jerk ribs. Coconut shrimp starter (3 pieces) and cocktail were both great. Jerk lamb had a little heat, you could definitely ask for more. If food came put a little quicker this place would certainly be 5 stars.“
“The service was very uneven. Although the food was good and it came quickly once our order was taken. The staff was polite and helpful, but apparently a little understaffed. The live music was very enjoyable. The room was an excellent space for a musical performance.“
“Small community pizzeria that delivers exactly what you want from such an establishment. This review is based on one visit, and the only thing I could point to as a negative is that I would have liked the crust to be crispy. A delicious slice needs a great blend of dough, sauce, and cheese, and Forno's delivers. If they maintain this quality with the rest of their food, it should be just as good.“
“Family run business with owners who try to please their customers. The pizza & salads are outstanding & there is nothing that compares to what they are serving in rockland county.Vegetarian options: Outstanding salads & plenty of vegetable choices to add to your pizza.Dietary restrictions: They will try to please you & accommodate any dietary restrictions.Parking: Plenty of available spaceKid-friendliness: Family style restaurant“
“Huge selection of sandwich options, made with high quality ingredients. I couldn’t believe the size of the sandwiches and at such an affordable price point. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. This place is a gem. I can’t wait to go back!“
“They're legit good. I'm old school Bronx n I keep it simple- cheese. Their Baskin Robbins 31 flavors all looked good but a plain slice tells you the truth about a place n truth is it's good. Balance of cheese to sauce is right, that light crunch when you bite into it, light char on the bottom. Sauce is maybe a lil garlicky but that's fine by me. So all in all, a solid slice.“
“UPDATE AT THE END;I ordered online ahead of time to have my order ready on time, when I arrived in the store, the worker at the counter was choosing his priorities of personal life over the customers. He left me waiting there while my food was getting soggy more and more by the minute..He was busy catching up with some friends..When I spoke up and asked if my order is ready, the friend backed off to let me through to the counter, but this lovely worker took the opportunity to now call another friend over Video call to show him who just came in to the store.......To the business owner, if you want to have a good name, please make sure to talk to the worker that worked at the counter on March 30th at 11:45 - 11:55 pm.----UPDATE.A few minutes after posting the review, I got a reply from the owner that he will look into this. The next morning I got a call from him that he looked at the CCTV footage and wants to hear more details from me.I gave him the full story and he said that he will talk to the worker.I got a call from him not too long after the initial call, and he clarified what the story was and that the company is taking full responsibility on this. Now, after this I can proudly say, the customers service is 10 out of 5, awesome and amazing to deal with responsible people, a mistake is a mistake.“
“It’s been very hard to find good cheese anywhere. The Fiore di Sardegna is fresh and abundant here! The frozen dinners tasted fresh after heating, olives and mozzarella were amazing, olive oil was full flavored, and the homemade pasta is outrageous! Love this place! I Left a lot poorer than I was when I walked in.“
“Classic village pizza shop! Could not ask for anything more. Pizza is great and the service is even better. Perfect place to bring kids. Secret sneaky menu item.. whatever soup they have bubbling that day. Other pizza shops come and go, but there is only one Cold Spring Pizza.“
“We used Sansotta for their Thanksgiving catering. We purchased their full Thanksgiving package and couldn’t be happier with how easy and tasty everything was. Our guests were very pleased with the food and I can’t imagine not using them again next year. Highly recommend!“
“This is a real pizza place. The pizza is awesome. They have all kinds of fancy slices during the day. The prices are on par with the area. The staff is great and will take care of your needs. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.“
“I have dined in many times. The service is always pleasant and friendly. I had a girls get together with my cousins on 2/24/24. The food was delivered timely. The eggplant parmagiana and the chicken saltimboca was excellent. The spinach rolls and cold cut stromboli we had as appetizers were also very good. As always Andrew thank you!“
“Delicious!Amazing variety!Kindest owners. Helpful and friendly. They make you feel like family.Nice decor, good location, great vibe.My whole family loved eating pizza there after a walk around Rockland Lake. Had an amazing spread from there at a toddlers bday party which prompted the post park visit.Vegetarian options: It's pizza“
“The pepperoni rolls here are somehow the most amazing food on Earth. They had went downhill for a bit - which was still superior to most - but somehow have made a comeback to perfection. Only downside is that I do not live in Croton anymore, and the 50 we bought to take home are now having to be shared with the kids because they too have realized how great they are! Plus the pizza is superb. The soda fountain wasn't great, but honestly that's a tiny blip.Parking: Small number of spots but it lines up fine with amount of seating as long as it's not at capacityKid-friendliness: Great for kidsWheelchair accessibility: Seems easily accessible“
“We travel from several towns away to eat here, it is that good! I very much appreciate being welcomed like old friends whenever we dine here, as well as the professional and friendly staff, delicious food, and my personal favorite, the chocolate martini! Freshly baked bread for the table, exquisite salads and appetizers followed by an array of entrees such as chicken fratelli (my favorite) or several seafood and pasta dishes. While there is usually a crowd, the acoustics are such that you can have a pleasant conversation at your table. There is a lovely seating area with floor to ceiling windows which feels like you are almost eating outdoors, as well as outdoor seating in season.“
“Love Maria's Pizza when we moved up here to Yorktown a few years ago Maria was the first pizza shop we ordered from and they never disappoint. The service and delivery is great and everybody's always very nice when they answer and take our orders. Definitely recommend Maria's pizza and we're definitely going to try there. The drunken chicken is my favorite chicken Parm pizzas excellent. Tried the new cannoli chips and dip loved we're gonna soon try Maria's famous 3 foot pizza cause we'll be having a gathering so we're gonna try that when ordering it arrives early and hot so if you're in the Yorktown area, try Maria's Pizza. You won't regret it.“
“Romano's started as our favorite and go-to pizza place in the area. We've recently used them for catering, and they blew away our expectations, the food was absolutely delicious! All of our guests loved the food as well. So we will be going back for more than just pizza. They always, always deliver on time, both when delivering our pizza and the catering orders. When we call, they know who we are, when we walk in, they know who we are. We are always greeted so nicely and the owners are always accommodating. We have toddlers and they are just so nice to us and them and so patient. We recently made some special requests and they accommodated us just so our toddlers were happy.I can keep going, just do yourself a favor and stop in, have a slice or a dish, you won't regret it.“
“I love Beni's! Their sauce is very similar to my mother's. I love to take my grandchildren to eat there. Their pizzettas are delicious! It's just a great place to go have a nice Italian meal with a glass of wine in a very comfortable atmosphere. I'm sure you'll enjoy what they have to offer.“
“Good food. Hardly speak English when calling to place an order. Plus how do you have Mexican people running an Italian restaurant??? That just doesn't make any type of sense! I have to keep repeating my order several times before it sunk in. I'd recommend just going there to eat. But overall the pricing is good and the food is great even though it's Spanish people taking over the art of great Italian cooking. It's still a decent place. Better than Mariella's Pizza.“
“Late ⏰ review but overall the pizza ? was amazing visited here about a month ago. Restaurant was closed but there is a food truck they have outdoors that sells the best chicken and slices. So we had to eat in the car. The atmosphere was great and a nice vibe in the area will surely keep you comfy with scenery to enjoy your food. Thank you ☺️“
“The new owners are basically doing their best to try to create a little music venue on the weekends. Jungle Love was on tonight and the place was hopping. We've eaten here a couple of times in the food's been good. I was a little disappointed in the chicken scarp as the potatoes were cold in the middle was kind of strange. Otherwise everything there is excellent“
“We went with another couple this time so there were more items ordered. I had the Mimosa Salad again and also repeated my entree having the Parledelle Bosca with Mushrooms. Hubby had a special, which included Filet Mignon, Lobster Tails and Prawns. Our friends had a Snapper special and Crab cakes. Everyone loved the food. The only thing we noticed is that those who had the Calamari and the salads felt like they tasted a little too much salt. We believe the salads may have been that way due to the strong cheeses in them. The service was very good as usual. Jason seems to be the head waiter. He loves what he does and knows so much about the food and the drinks. He is very accommodating and wants everyone to be happy. He has an over the top personality which can be fun, but for some may be a little too much. All worth the visit. We will go again. ?Vegetarian options: They have a dish called Parledelle Bosca with Mushrooms that is delicious and I've had it each time I've been there. They will customize our create a dish for you, which I love.“
“Fabulous! That's all I can say. We were looking for a spot to grab a quick bite before heading to the Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze and happened to pass this deli. My son lives in PA now and LOVES delis, so we went in and were totally wowed by all the options and the friendly people! I don't know how I've not been to this gem before, but I have it on my list of MUST HAVES now!Our sandwiches were amazing, and I don't say that lightly! They also have a lot of baked goods, so I had to try a few of their cookies, and they were delish! Seriously going back for more soon!“
“For the past year I have been coming here. The food has so much flavor and the portions are huge. They have an extensive menu with lots of choices. From apatizers, pizza and main dishes you can’t go wrong. Great selection and fantastic food! Thanks for being a great place.“
“Great burgers! Delivery is fast and friendly! They actually have pints of ice cream that are scooped to order! I love the coconut! The pictures are a cheese burger no bun, slice of BBQ chicken pizza, and taco appetizer. If getting the tacos on delivery get meat on side so shells are still good when you get them!“
“Here is the easiest way to describe this place. STRAIGHT UP HOMEMADE ITALIAN FOOD! This is 5-STAR Italian deliciousness! I was last here about 20 years ago but to be honest, like most, I have zero reason to ever be in Verplanck. This evening I was down there and made the immediate decision to dine-in the second I saw their big sign on Broadway. The place looks basically the same as I remember, very neat, clean and of course with a stellar menu. I observed Carmine (at the bar) preparing some amazing looking cocktails! Great service, well priced, friendly staff and great dishes! One thing I want to point out is how the first forkful of my cold antipasto salad appetizer immediately tasted soooo different. I wasn't expecting fresh, 'sharp' provolone -- no sliced ham here kids. Tonight was an unexpected treat! I will again grab my passport and cross the border into Westchester to spend more time here! Mangia!“
“This joint is all about no-frills dining; they even charge extra for napkins and mark up one-dollar Arizona drinks to two bucks. The evening shift operator oozes an arrogant kind of charm, but one thing remains consistently good—the pizza. It's always deliciously greasy, folded up neatly into a paper bag. They don't skimp on quality, using top-notch ingredients and embodying that classic Italian flair blended with New York charm. These two brothers have been making pizza here day and night for close to 50 years. If you grew up in Northern Westchester, you know Napolis pizza, and you know these two legends.“
“The pizza is phenomenal and the service is pretty good. They're on time with their estimates and the prices are good too. The atmosphere feels more like a grab and go, I wouldn't stay in the restaurant too long because the kids can be pretty rowdy.Vegetarian options: It's a pizza place with good pizza.“
