Tasted very much like farm-raised fish and lacked the flavor & texture of wild ?. Also, it was served with the head - just FYI.

The atmosphere was beautiful and we got to sit right on the water and service was superb. I might consider giving them another try for those two reason but def won’t be ordering fish again.“

“The first pie I had from John at Fenice was the Detroit Red...which Tony picked up for me last week when i was at work...i finished the whole pie by just after midnight...but I had to go for the regular NY Cheese pie fresh from the oven. We scored one of the two tables there and were able to decide which of the other slices to bring home...it was like a pizza candy store. We didn't finish our pie so brought home two slices, and I wanted to try John's sicilian, I couldn't leave there without a Detroit Red slice and Tony wanted the multi cheese white pizza...every pizza we tried was perfect! something about the dough. The sauce. The cheese. The dough for the Sicilian and the Detroit Red was light and perfectly crunchy on the bottom. Flavor out of this world. We drove from White Plains just to try Pizza Fenice. worth the trip.“

“This is hands-down our favorite sushi place! It’s an intimate, family-run gem where you can truly feel the love and care that goes into everything—from the food to the service. The sushi is always incredibly fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed.

“I attended a surprise party this Saturday evening. The cuisine was preselected, waiter service was excellent, should receive raises. The table arrangement was very poor. The party was downstairs in one of the private rooms. We were 25 people at one very long table, basically the length of the room, which made it difficult for guests to get around the seated persons at the head of the table on either side. Having two tables would have been a better arrangement, but one long table was not conducive for conversation since we were so far from the other end of the table. The food; not many complaints, I really didn’t have a problem. I didn’t have a lot of food, but it was delicious. The dessert, sorry not very good. Those Famous Crepes(palacinkes) sorry not that great. A lot of crepe and not a lot of filling. The dish was served with fruit, unfortunately this fruit was not in season, so the watermelon although it added color to the dish, upon tasting it, left much to be desired. Why not serve fruit that is in season? No offense to my party hosts who selected my menu for the evening, it didn’t lend itself to the 5 Star Reputation of Dubrovnik’s. I would like to make reservations and splurge on a dinner on my own, I have a feeling I would LOVE the experience! Btw, another plus was the parking!“

“We hosted an intimate wedding celebration in the elegant party room at Jean-Jacques. It was a joy to work with Donna Sullivan, who handles functions. She provided us with expert guidance in choosing the menu and every other detail. The room looked gorgeous, the food was exquisite and our guests were well cared for by Donna and the other servers. We received so many compliments from the attendees who remarked that they had a wonderful time and that the food was delicious. The bride and groom, and all of their friends and family, enjoyed themselves immensely and were able to meet, connect and have conversation in an elegant atmosphere. The party room is indeed a hidden gem at this premiere bakery and cafe in Pleasantville. My husband and I are not from the area and had never been to Jean-Jacques, but I contacted Jean-Jacques at the recommendation of a family member and couldn’t have been more pleased. It was exactly what we wanted. We had ample room for 40 guests and a jazz piano player. From the appetizers, Bellinis, Prosecco, wine and other beverages, to the sumptuous gourmet buffet dinner to the most delicious celebratory cake, everything was PERFECT. I say this as someone who has organized many events professionally over the decades. Donna Sullivan and Jean-Jacques are top notch.“

I placed a takeout order (breakfast wrap) and it was very good. I also brought home two containers of bone broth and it is excellent. “My boyfriend and I have passed this cute restaurant many times, but yesterday was our first experience eating there. We came on a Sunday for a late brunch and there was lively gospel music playing and also a live guitarist. The atmosphere is homey, comfortable and inviting. We went in blind and ordered the fried chicken dinner and the BBQ dinners with potato salad and greens. We also ordered a side of mac & cheese. The house provides biscuits and muffins drizzle in honey and syrup. These were served warm and they were delicious! The dinners we had were absolutely phenomenal! 10 out o 10. The portions were also very generous. We were moved by the food and could tell that they were prepared thoughtfully with love and care. Everything was beautifully seasoned and flavorful. This place is a hidden gem and can easily compete with some of the heavy-hitter soul food restaurants in Harlem like Melba's. Melba's is one of our favorites, but My Father's House is on par or surpasses Melba's in certain respects. We were delighted to meet the chef and owner of My Father's House named Adrian. She was absolutely delightful and greeted us so warmly. I learned that she is a preacher and a teacher and has opened up the restaurant in honor of her late father. You can feel the love and sincerity in this establishment. We will definitely be back and inviting others and recommending it to others! We also sat next to a beautiful Asian family who was dining there for the first time along with us and they also said they absolutely loved the food. 10/10! Can't wait to go back!“

“If you ever want to impress your friends & family with your good taste, take them here! Ever since they opened, we've continually been returning to this awesome restaurant. Going with friends and/or family who haven't been before, makes the experience even more enjoyable. Straight-away, newcomers are impressed as they review the eclectic menu. We tell them, honestly - we've never had anything on the menu that we didn't LOVE. It was not unusual that, on this week's visit, our party of six couldn't make menu selections 'cause everything sounded so good. No problem, we simply "ordered for the table"! Ready for this - we ordered: 2 orders of Pulled Pork Sliders, 2 orders of Brie Stuffed Pretzels, Asador Corn, Watermelon Salad, 2 orders of Smoked Ribs, Shrimp & Grits, and Chinese Chicken Salad. OH MY, what a Scrumptious Feast! Not a morsel was left over! When the friendly, attentive waiter suggested dessert, some said, "I can't eat another thing!", and "oh, maybe tomorrow". I suggested, perhaps some very delicious iced cappuccinos, or an outrageous dessert drink. Everyone ordered something. I then said to our party, I think we need some accompaniments. My wife and I got the waiter on the side, explained we had a Birthday Gal at the table, and ordered an assorted dessert board for the table. Moments later, the board was presented with a glowing birthday sparkler and a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday". Immediately, the signature Carrot Cake, Mexican Chocolate Covered Churros, Bourbon Glazed Donuts, Cheese Cake, and Vanilla Gelato began to be devoured. Nearby patrons could be heard saying, "We'll have what they're having!" It was another memorable, Great Time at Southern Table. Bravo to the Chef and Staff!“

“Recently learned about this store from the mail-in coupons. It really makes and serve good from 16 different restaurants, including celebrity chefs like Marc Murphy, Jose Andres, Marcus Samuelsson and Bobby Flay. They restaurant is mostly for take out, but there few tables and standing area to dine-in.I ordered few of the Indian dishes. It takes them about 25-35 minutes, that can be tracked in the app. My oder was ready upon arrival. Really liked the samosa, but the chaat was average. For lamb vindaloo, lamb was super tender, really soft, but the sauce and taste of dish was overpowered by jeera (cumin). Similar feedback for chicken tikka masala. The taste wasn’t good, though the chicken was cooked nicely.Serving dishes from many different restaurants and cuisine really makes me skeptical regarding taste and quality of food served from here. I am still open to try few more courses from here.

They treated my husband, when he was disabled and going down, with the greatest kindness and care. This is my home, my food, my people. Love everything about it. I always feel renewed when I leave.
