“I've been to two separate MFC restaurants in Queens and neither of them could compare to this place. The service was pretty fast and very good, with someone who I believe to be the manager/owner even coming around to ask us if we needed anything. In typical MFC fashion, the food was delicious. The soy garlic boneless tenders and spicy wings are out of this world, and the Parmesan truffle fries were good too. The prices for the food aren't even bad either, I can't think of a single thing wrong with this particular chain. The Plainview location is my new spot, and I'll gladly make the 25 mile trek from Queens to eat here rather than at Forest Hills.Sidenote: I believe they're having some sort of anniversary celebration on 3/1/24. If you're reading this before the date passes, definitely check it out.“
“Have been there twice in the past few months, once with a group of 4 then with a group of 14. Both times both food and service were excellent…they have improved since they first opened. If you haven’t been here recently, highly recommend. Weekends get busy, recommend going during the weekday.“
“I come here for the Japche & Kimbap!I am so happy this place is closer to me than other eateries, it really is a gem.The owners are friendly and helpful, the food is fresh, establishment is clean, definitely a must visit.I cannot wait to try their other dishes.“
“I love Spoon Sticks! The atmosphere is relaxing and just a bit edgy with a large TV playing an avant-garde black and white video of two men with a bag sitting at a table doing nothing interesting. The service was exceptional by a very handsome man in army fatigues. The food was authentic Korean cuisine - fresh, beautifully plated and delicious. We started with a Japanese steamed pork bun. Our main courses were Beef Bulgogi, Beef Jap Chae, and JeonJu BibimBap with Beef Bulgogi. Sides of kimchi and radish made it all so refreshing. Ending with Ho Tteok and Yuzu cheesecake made it a perfect dinner. Our second visit which will be followed by many more. Don't miss this jewel.“
“Sauerkraut chinese fish. This cuisine is generally for fresh of the boat Chinese people. But over the last few years, it has steadily gained popularity amongst non Chinese and even non Asians. I can't even explain what the taste is like aside from it being maybe lemongrass and spicy at the same time. The bowl is filled with random veggies, spices, and, of course, your choice of fish or even duck blood. This spot is located inside the food court of 99 Ranch Market. The prices are reasonable ($12.95), and the employees are nice. They also serve Malatang. Those that don't know, look it up. When you pay with cash, you get a free drink (yellow colored fruit tea)“
“I ate there yesterday for the first time and I cannot wait to go back and bring all my friends. Absolutely great experience from food to staff to atmosphere. There are not enough words to describe the overall delicious and warm experience it was!!!“
“Super friendly service and delicious Korean fried chicken. My wife and I lived in queens for 5 years and had many similar style chicken places to choose from. So glad that since we moved to the island that we still have an awesome Korean Fried Chicken option.“
“An under-the-radar gem, Dake Korean (it's actually a Korean eaterie, not a sushi place) is a must visit and probably the best Korean food I've tasted on Long Island. My son was in the know about the place, and took me there for a belated birthday dinner. Started with excellent banchan and an amazing seafood pancake, then a dish of phenomenal squid and pork belly, all washed down with yummy soju. Loved Dake!“
“Cute little Korean restaurant in Long Island. Unfortunately they close early but I can understand why being a mom and pop shop. It's pretty rare to find Asian food here so I was extremely surprised. Prices are a tad on the higher end but worth it for the distance and quality. I chose this restaurant for their seafood pancake and decided to order Galbi. They didn't poke holes on the top of the container for the pancake so it was soggy by the time we brought it back home (25mins). No biggy though - I put it on the wok for a few mins and it became crispy! The pancake is filled with seafood. Perfect ratio of flour to seafood. This hit the spot for my seafood pancake craving. Sauce came on the side. The galbi was very flavorful and fell off the bone. No complaints here. Great portion size for one. The free banchans that came with 2 rice servings - see pics. This I was not expecting. They were so generous when I barely ordered much! Overall, minus the pancake packaging, everything else was fab. Food was great. They were spot on for their cook time. Friendly. No complaints.“
“I have eaten here several times and the food has never been dissapointing. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. I usually get takeout and my food is usually ready within minutes. I usually order the bowl veggie and it'sabsolutely delcious. The only con i would say is the price but you do get what you pay for in terms of quality.“
“Finding this location was a bit challenging since it's situated inside HMart, as food court, surrounded by other restaurants. However, once inside, I experienced very fast and efficient service. The food was good.Parking: Lots of parking available.“
“Got there when they were just opening and they were still prepping but it was as expected. Delicious food, probably the best Korean on the island, flavorful greasy dirty food you eat while you drink beer and watch the game. It's pretty clean for what it is and most of the food is take out, loved it and definitely coming back for the chicken and side dishes. Servers didn't seem to be very familiar with the routine but they were super nice and accommodating to my friend's baby who came with us.“
