My fave main is the Crispy (red snapper) fish, which has an amazing soy sweet sauce replete with bok choy, crispy noodles, and scallions. Tons of other choices. “Brought my parents here for dinner. I ordered chirashi (sashimi style fish over rice), my dad ordered a sushi combo, and my mom got the broiled mackerel (saba). Food was delicious and the atmosphere was great — restaurant is nicely decorated and they were playing soft jazz music in the background. Service was friendly and prompt, I also had the opportunity to order our meals in Japanese which was a lot of fun. After trying their Sakura roll and honey truffle roll, I can confidently say that I have surpassed the human form and ascended into heaven. This is the BEST sushi I have tried. “I feel a need to respond to the crazy person who complained about the bathroom issues experience at Hinode. The people that own and run, this restaurant could not be more accommodating, helpful, and generous. Your experience had absolutely nothing to do with the outstanding quality of their food and service. If you have enough time to write that completely unrelated review and post it. Then you should find the time to consult with a physician and address your own personal bathroom issues. Regardless of your situation, ultimately they were kind enough to allow you to use their restroom.“

“This is the place if you want authentic, high quality, Japanese food. The small dishes on the separate menu are really delightful.

Prices reflect food quality. Be prepared to pay for the best all around Japanese food in the area. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

They run it like fine dining, not like a casual sushi bar. So they have strict rules around noise, noisy kids, and cell phones. Don't expect to bring your kid and set him up with an ipad with the volume on. Seems reasonable. No outside food, no exceptions. Seems reasonable.

The servers were polite, no issues in this department.

“One of the best Ramen Bars I’ve ever been to. The flavors across the menu are unreal. The Spicy Miso Ramen w/ Pork Belly in particular was one of the best soup broths I’ve ever tasted. The service staff could not have been more friendly and courteous. The quaint setting and atmosphere lend themselves to almost feel like sitting at one big family style dinner table.“

“Samurai is a great go to spot. We normally do take out. Portion sizes are much smaller when taking out, at least when it comes to habatchi.

The wait staff were amazing so attentive and helpful. Beer was super cold and the leche martini is highly recommended.

The food however was a bit salty, and came out very spread out. The meat had little flavor…be sure to ask for lite soy sauce.

The sushi however is great. Anything on the menu.

“Came here to eat in New Year’s Day. Miso soup was so good. We ordered many hand yolks between two people. There was one tool I didn’t like too much I can’t remember the name now but all the rest were fresh and delicious.
They even gave us a cute ice cream dessert“

“One of the only places around that is Asian food with a nice atmosphere. The dumplings were especially delicious, and the salad and miso soup were especially good. Then the bento box is always fun. The only negative was that the teriyaki chicken could have a little more char on it.“

“Good lunch selections just that their miso soup is so salty. Otherwise everything else is very good. I had salmon teriyaki with California rolls. It came with side salad , miso soup and steamed veggies. Salmon size serving is big for lunch . Very happy with the order. Cheap for $14.“

“Always drove by it and saw advertising in our local Clipper but never jumped in until a few days ago. Three Asians cuisine, Chinese, Japanese and Thai. Had dinner with my family, my daughter ordered shrimp fried rice, my wife had Mei fun noodles while I ordered the yellow curry tofu. We all also shared sushi rolls, sashimi and hand rolled sushi. My curry dish was amazing just as good as if I had it at a Thai only restaurant. My daughter said the best fried rice she’s had and the same with my wife’s noodle dish. Plenty of different dishes to choose from specially if your family can agree on a cuisine. The service was great and attentive and the atmosphere was nice and mellow.
