“We were supposed to eat at another restaurant, Anny, but when we got there, they informed us that they would only accept cash. Yet there was no ATM. We started walking on 116th, looking for an ATM. Instead, we found this place to eat. It's a buffet style place with only one booth style table. The best thing was that the food was good and the price was right.“

“What a beautiful experience! We tried the baked chicken, oxtail, and a chicken sandwich, and everything was spectacular. The food has that homemade flavor that is so hard to find, as if it had been cooked with the same love as at home. We will be back soon!“

“Always busy, clean. Good prices. I have noticed overtime Walmart breads are salty/high in sodium. Whenever I eat I feel so very thirsty. I don't get that feeling at eating bread from elsewhere. Anyways I go there mostly for car oil and Gatorade.“

“this place has been open since i was a kid, and as I've grown, it faded off and on of my radar, but when i went back today, i fell in love with it all over again. the waiters and staff are friendly and polite, and all of the food is so fresh and well prepared. i will say the tostones did need some salt, but other than that, im glad i rediscovered this childhood fav of mine ☺️“

“The Absolute Best Dominican Restaurant in Nassau County! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Lucas Dominican Restaurant is hands down the most delicious and flavorful spot in Nassau County! Every single bite is an explosion of authentic Dominican goodness, from their perfectly seasoned pernil to the mouthwatering mofongo that melts in your mouth. Their portions are generous, their service is warm and welcoming, and the food is always fresh and made with love.
I often order for my team at Luxurious Beauty Studios, and they absolutely love it. The quality and consistency are unmatched! Whether I’m bringing my family for a sit-down meal or grabbing takeout for the spa, Lucas never disappoints. The arroz con habichuelas, tender pollo guisado, and tostones are simply perfection.
If you’re looking for real Dominican flavors, home-cooked quality, and a restaurant that treats you like family, Lucas Dominican Restaurant is THE place to go! Five stars are not enough—I’d give them ten if I could! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“

“A small family business. Although there was limited seating, we arrived about 5pm on a Wednesday evening and there was seating for the 4 of us. We ordered Cuban sandwiches and they were great. For the first time we also shared an order of Mofungo, it was delicious. The service was excellent and friendly. A true NYC neighborhood experience. A must if you are in the neighborhood. Walking distance from LaGuardia Plaza Hotel. Although we were tourists, they made us feel like family. Thank you for a great experience. The Maas family“

“Don’t even hesitate just go!!! Food is unreal lol Prices might be the best in town and you know that the food is going to be good when another customer has to order it for you due to a language barrier. Wow. The chicken empanadas are to die for. Picture(s) will not do this place enough justice. The bar while you wait for your food is the finishing touch. Might go back tomorrow if they are open“

“The best of the best Dominican food in queens. Chivo (goat) was ? even if you don’t like goat, you will like their goat. Roast chicken is amazing as well. Beans, rice, tostones, onion, all the Dominican staples are as good as they come. Huge servings, very affordable. It’s a casual restaurant with high quality service. The staff are all very polite. Good place for families - they didn’t mind that our toddler made a mess. I’m def going back again and bringing more friends and family.
Kid-friendliness: They had kid chairs and didn’t mind that our kid made a mess“
“The place was nice, the service was good, and it would have been nice to see the menu with the prices. Our order changed from $28 to $42 dollars and we were not too happy about that. It's okay. We may come back and we need to save money for that. The place felt more like a bar.“

“My Titi Delilah recommended it, It’s good. Good people. I saved a bee; they always follow me even in winter. They even tried to find a paper but I thought fast ripped the paper….there you go. Bees especially aren’t supposed to be killed. If they go the world goes remember that.
Kid-friendliness: They have some good looking fried chicken Spanish style so you know it has the right amount of flavor. Watch out Popeyes.“

“The food is acceptable but what I liked the most was the sweet plantains that I bought for my whole family. I have given it many chances and I kept buying it but it doesn't improve. It tastes horrible. The bananas are sometimes semi-green, not sweet at all, without any flavor. and they make the pieces smaller and at $5 I wouldn't mind the price as long as it was delicious but it isn't like that I hope they fix it“

“New customer here. This restaurant was recommended by the JP auto people and it did not disappoint.
Context: The stars represent the real value of place, not to say the five star for food here compares with a 5 star Michelin rated establishment that cost 300 percent more.
I ordered half chicken half steak on Spanish rice with a country club Frambuesa Raspberry soda. The bill came to about 15 dollars with tip. They deserve more!
The food was delicious. Chicken was tender and marinated in a flavorful broth. The steak was similarly tender but had additional peppers and onions and other flavors that made it stand out. The rice was full of flavor and really could be it's own meal.
The service was exceptional and the woman at the front desk was very thoughtful and stepped through all the dishes they had to offer while giving great suggestions.
The atmosphere was good to. This is not a fine dining experience, but a local spot for and by locals. I could tell the people that team the business and the patrons of it were friendly and that created a really warm atmosphere.
I recommend you try this place out of you are even curious about Dominican and Spanish food or just want to support a local business.“

“This is a small restaurant but full of flavor, the food is very fresh and delicious. A breakfast ? or lunch is perfect here, it is not expensive, I highly recommend the meatballs, they are delicious and when they make tail, my mouth waters. “If you’re looking for authentic Dominican food, Quisqueya in Corona, Queens is an absolute must-visit! We tried several dishes, including the oxtail stew, boneless chicken chunks, and Morro rice, but nothing could compare to their mofongo. Hands down, the best I’ve ever had! The mofongo sauce is out of this world – it’s so good, you’d want to drink it by the spoonful.
The staff are spectacular—warm, friendly, and attentive, making the experience even better. The location might seem a bit sketchy at first glance, but don’t let that deter you. Once you step inside, the food and service more than make up for it. Quisqueya is a hidden gem worth discovering!“

“I'm Asian and my Asian friend and I were walking in Jackson Heights and we passed by and ate here. Although we don't speak Spanish, the owner does speak English. We can communicate normally ~ I want to dine here again ~ I wonder if the owner will guess who I am after seeing this message???????“
“Walked in for the first time today, and let me tell you the food options are great. I was treated with a smile and the staff was kind in explaining the portions , prices and food options. I took my order (Ox tail and arroz con gandules) to go. But once I got home and took that first bite (Aww Mann), I instantly knew this was only the beginning of many more food orders to come.As of now I highly recommend this place.Note: this is more of a takeout spot as they only have 2 tables.“

“My experience at this restaurant was mostly positive, with the exception of one unfortunate incident with the drink order. Despite requesting a virgin piña colada for the children, the waitress brought it with alcohol, which could have been dangerous since the children had already consumed some of the drink. She noticed the mistake and ran to the table but the children had already had a couple of drinks ? Despite this inconvenience, we decided not to cause a scandal and let it go.
As for the rest of the experience, the food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. However, it is crucial that the restaurant improves its processes to ensure that drink orders are served correctly, especially when it comes to serving alcohol to minors.
Overall, I would recommend this restaurant, but I suggest being careful when ordering drinks to avoid awkward situations like the one we experienced. I hope you take steps to improve this and provide an even better experience for your customers in the future!“

“I ordered a chicken soup from the restaurant with Uber Eats. The soup was absolutely delicious....BUT, there were about 7 noodles, 2 pieces of carrot one piece of chicken on a bone and that was it. It was very tasty but so skimpy. For $6, I expect some substance in my soup.“
