“I experienced Nettie’s for the first time last evening. My dining experience was excellent from arrival to departure. The food was “DELISH!” The owner was welcoming & hospitable, the service was good, and the music and atmosphere wea awesome! I am so pleased and proud to have a “Black” owned establishment where you can dine in Queens in a tasteful environment, supporting our entrepreneurs and our community. I, along with others will be back!!!“

“This spot is new to the block according to the owner which was very nice. For a spot that just came in, the food was delicious I must admit, there wasn’t much we could pick from the menu because they were still getting things together but I got chicken, macaroni and cheese inside a craved out pineapple. Yummy… the service was laggy however it’s clear they were trying which made the process feel promising. I believe within a year or 2 this spot is going to be poppin off something nice. Drinks were ok!“

“My sister orders food from here on Sundays for my father, herself, and I. The food has always been good. Yesterday, I went into the shoppe myself and ordered. I was very impressed with the layout. There were items on the menu I didn't even know about prior 👍🏾. I am really impressed by the fact this is a Black owned establishment. I'm even more impressed by the fact the spot is owned and operated by some members of the Diasporic family. I say this because they know their clientale well and cater to them without flaw. “Place is very clean, the food does taste good, you only have to watch out for the amount you take it goes by weight. Overall, I like the food here, its buffet style most things are weighted by the pound.“

“10/10! Super friendly staff and everything was delicious. I went in anticipating oxtails but they were out, so I opted for jerk chicken, Mac and cheese and rice and peas. Literally the most flavorful rice and peas I’ve ever had! Mac was tasty and well seasoned and the jerk chicken was the perfect blend of tang and spice. I looked forward to having leftovers but ate the entire plate in one sitting. Will definitely be back :))“

“I ordered my food from Uber Eats. It came quickly, hot, fresh, and seasoned beyond my expectations! I was pleasantly surprised with how everything came because I’m usually underwhelmed with food deliveries, this restaurant, however, was on point. I will be ordering again. I got the 4 pc fish, 6 shrimp, mac and cheese, and collards.“

“Came here on a Sunday afternoon by myself and got seated at the bar immediately. I was served by Senua (sp?) who was very kind and warm. I enjoyed the overall ambiance and sitting in view of the kitchen. Their branded bowls and mugs were a fun touch.

I ordered the hummus, the kefta plate, and the sahlab. In general the food was good, but I was expecting more flavor. I plan to come back and try some of their more unique dishes.

The pita was more dense than light and airy. The hummus was generously topped with olive oil which brought most of the flavor. There was also sumac on top, but I wasn’t tasting that much. The texture was very smooth though.

The kefta was tender, and I appreciated the side salad with it. They were generous with the greens and rice. Similar to the hummus, I had hoped for more flavor with the kefta.

My favorite thing was the sahlab, which I had never tried before. It was warm, sweet, and very floral. It was also topped with cinnamon, which was a nice companion to the floral flavors.“
