“I'll try to keep this to the point —

I gave Food/Service/Atmosphere 5 🌟 because they were on par for me. For a local spot, this really took me by surprise.

What I ordered:

Miso Soup:
Standard Miso Soup, nothing groundbreaking, but very tasty. Would have loved a tad more tofu & scallion, but that's just me.

Salmon Avocado Hand roll:
Not the hand roll I expected meaning it wasn't in the cone shape I'm familiar with, but it came presented like a taco with the seaweed as the shell. Salmon cuts were huge, and with great colour, avocado was bright & ripe, coupled with the perfect amount of rice. Everything tasted clean, and fresh.

Yellowtail Jalapeno Nigiri:
I messed up with this, originally I wanted a sushi roll, but my brain flubbed. Great mistake though, because the yellowtail was delicious, practically melted in my mouth, topped with a delicate cut of jalapeno on top.

Love Milk Tea:
Honestly, just a really delicious milk tea topped with osmanthus flower. It was light, refreshing, and not too sweet thankfully.

Wagyu Tataki:
Tataki is meant to be briefly seared on the outside, but the center remains raw. Was this seared to the degree I wanted? No. But, was it delicious? Yes. And the meat was incredibly tender, flavour of the sauces really complimented everything on the plate.

I finished off with a matcha cheesecake to go, I'm sure it'll be good.

With tip, I spent $67

Again, for a local spot in Richmond Hill/Kew Gardens, I was thoroughly impressed and satisfied. Personally, with slight adjustments, these folks would do great in midtown. I spent a little under what I would spend at a restaurant in the city, and got an incredibly satisfying meal, and left full.“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“Roti Canai delicious! The Nasai Lemak was awesome with tender and flavorful curry chicken. Tried crispy fish cakes first time and it was yummy!“

“Winter is about to arrive! 😍 The Coconut Chicken is my favorite, with its perfect combination of jasmine and fig fragrance. Its fresh, floral, and fruity am, and the broth is refreshingly sweet.I could finish bowl after bowl! The soup added afterward is also chicken broth!
For my family of two, we ordered a set meal for two, which was a great portion! 👌🏻 It included half a live chicken, a vegetable platter, and a choice of main course. The meat of the half-free-range chicken was firm and tender. My kids love the food so much, we will come back again.“

“Really amazing pho! I am picky about my pho but this hit all the marks. The lady was so sweet and constantly kept giving us refills of the pickled onion. We tried the signature and smokey beef belly pho. Both so good and the smokey beef belly was refreshing. The shrimp summer rolls were also delicious with the peanut sauce. Would totally recommend and come again :)“

“I try to come here once a week only because it’s so good I wish I could have it almost every single day. The staff memorized my order within a few times of coming and are always super sweet. If you come to try, please tip them well!! They’re very hardworking and caring to all.“

“Open 24/7 and the food isn't bad for you. They have noodles and fried rice and cold appetizers. I love going there when everywhere else is closed or I am unsure if they're open. This place whether in flavor, price or time never fails me. I love ordering their spicy noodles. Their fried rice is alright but my favorite is the noodles still. My favorite app is the one with fish, its cold and savory and appetizing. Never crowded. Never wait in line before. Sometimes it's short staffed. They speak English enough for you to order and speak back to about your order. Never too hot or too cold in there. Sometimes it could be a little noisy in there but the booths help. I've only gone at night though. Can't say for how it is when the sun is still out. The staff are the sam every night I've gone.“

“I usually don’t leave reviews, but I felt I had to after seeing someone unfairly trying to sneak around the tipping and leave a bad review.

Honestly, the waitress here was friendly, and the food far exceeded our expectations and professional. This place kills it when it comes to Cantonese-style cuisine — easily the best in the neighborhood. If you’re nearby, definitely give them a try. You won’t be disappointed!“

“My husband and I came to BIA Vietnamese Restaurant for the first time and everything was amazing! We had the Bún Bò Huế soup, pork cabbage pan-fried dumplings, and the summer rolls — all super delicious. I also got the iced Thai tea, and it was perfect. The host was very nice, friendly, and gave us great suggestions. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend this place!“

“You get what you pay for in these neighborhoods, and while this deli might price a thing or two above the competition, the service, skills and food are a cut above the rest. I can save a dollar and get a disappointing sandwich that was made wrong or with cheap ingredients in Bayside, or I can have a sandwich that is so good it makes literally makes my day. It’s an easy choice at this point. Best guys behind the counter, with decades of experience, and good will. “Super savory, 5/5 for sure. I’m Chinese, so trust me this is 100% authentic, ngl. I ordered lamb meat soup noodles (羊肉烩面) and cold skin noodles (凉皮), all super good. I wish they could open a store in the Midwest, aka the Chinese food desert, so that people can get baptized by this blessing from Henan.“

“I ordered a takeaway from Chowbus today with the mentality of giving it a try. I only gave a star and forgot to write a review, so I ran to Google to search for this restaurant. I have never given a good review to a restaurant on Chowbus. This is the first one from my opinion. When I read the above sentence "Please order from the nearest place to ensure the quality of the food", I felt that this restaurant has requirements for the quality of the food.
