“One of my kids has pretty intense food anxiety and basically is only comfortable eating chicken fingers and fries when we go out to eat. Making it hard on the rest of the family as that limits our dining choices often. We were really excited to find the kids menu here. The sushi, ramen, AND chicken fingers and fries were all excellent, the prices and portions are good, and the staff were friendly and helpful.“

“The rolls were made beautifully and the service was with style and kindness. I did miss the personal attention of a waitress or waiter. Also, there was no seating in at the aushi bar where the chef works. Watching the chef make sushi was always was a draw for me which left me feeling like I missed part of the experience.“

“When we first moved to the area in January, we arrived to an apartment with a heater that wasn't working. It was the middle of a blizzard and we needed somewhere to weather out the storm a bit before heading to a hotel for a night. Shiki was there for us.

When the woman serving us heard that we were without heat or power in the middle of the blizzard, she offered to let us stay in the restaurant as long as we needed -- even long after close until they were ready to head home.

When we had our food, the ramen was the perfect way to thaw us out and make us feel right at home and safe in a community which cares about its people. We've since come back for gyoza, katsu, and sushi and all of them have been incredible.

The food? Amazing. The service? Incredible. Shiki has earned a lifelong fan and customer. I love them.“

“Some of the best sushi in Rochester. Everything is clearly made to order and always very fresh. My husband doesn’t typically like sushi, but he loves the Samba roll. Volcano roll is another great one. But the seared tuna appetizer might be our favorite! This has become our go-to place for date night.“

“We stopped in for lunch for the first time the other day. The people who work there are very nice, along with a nice casual atmosphere. The food was excellent! We weren't fond of the drinks (too sweet). Definitely worth a return trip and is recommended for everyone!“

There were people eating in and dinning out.
We did the all you can eat. The sushi was fresh and delivered very fast. That was impressive! Great menu. It was all beautifully plated. The restaurant was clean. The only thing that might be tough for some folks is that ordering is all done by your smart phone. It might be nice to have directions at each table to help guide some folks. It’s was our first time and we had never had an experience like that. We really enjoyed it. A must try for sushi!“

“Gosto do Osaka mas hoje tive uma experiência ruim no delivery, os pratos quentes estavam frios e os fritos estavam murchos, não sei se os produtos são fritos no começo da noite ou se o restaurante liberou o pedido antes e não atualizou o delivery liberando para ir buscar, tanto que após 30 min de ter ido buscar o aplicativo estava mostrando a mesma coisa “pedido em preparação”. Só um aviso para se atentaram mais ao delivery!“

“What a great time! First time here tonight and it was a lot of fun. The good was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The show was very good also! Huge portions and cooked to our liking. The waitress was on top of drink orders and was very tentative. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff, along with the food!“

Hibachi is fairly priced, lots of fun, and great for groups celebrating. A full course meal makes it easy to pick and get some of my all time favorites.“

Updating this review 3 years later. This is still an excellent choice for a quick lunch. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for my food and by calling ahead I can pick my food up immediately. The food is just as good if not better than it was back then.“

“Great food and great wait staff! Just be careful to ask about their “service fee” which is really just the gratuity already added onto the bill. I didn’t ask what that was and ended up tipping twice accidentally. Other than that - it was great!“
