“Ate here for the first time after looking for a new go to chinese restaurant for quite sometime. My food was delicious. I had the orange chicken with pork fried rice. It reminded me of the chinese restaurant that i used to eat from in henrietta (mandarin court) but better. The food was very fresh and smiled delicious as well. It even smelled good when we came inside. I’ll definitely be getting food from here again for sure. This is my new go to chinese restaurant for sure (even though i live on the west side but my mental health office (i see a therapist) is not very far from this place either so this place will still see me here and there. i often go to the wegmans across the street after going to see the therapist so this place is very convenient. i ended up eating my food at the wegmans cafe with my boyfriend. he had general tso and he also found it enjoyable. Me and him will return for sure. My only complaint is that I really wanted lemon chicken and it only came in one size which was large so i couldn’t get it.“

“I’ve been getting my Chinese food here for more than 20 years. Even though I no longer live in the neighborhood, I still ONLY order my Chinese food from here. It’s just the best. Great prices for the portions. & In my family we have an ongoing joke about ordering from here. “The food was ok. I ordered the General Chao's Chicken with vegetable dried rice and shrimp eggrolls. I thought the rice could've been a little better but it was acceptable. The rice grains were bloated on the outside and a little undercooked on the inside but the price is good!“

“I have taken my son here once and then my boyfriend last night. This is an ideal spot for literally anyone. The atmosphere is so calm and inviting with beautiful traditional details. The food is exceptional with tons to choose from and it’s reasonably priced. We left full and relaxed with leftovers. Highly recommend!“

“First time there. Ordered four DosiiRoc boxes, each with a different protein (chicken, beef, pork, and tofu). The meats and tofu were deliciously spiced and well cooked. Not too spicy for any of us, including one who doesn't like very hot spiced food. They came with white rice, noodles with yummy roasted veggies, a bean sprout dish, and a dumpling. The takeout containers did a good job keeping things separated. We'll be back, maybe dining in next time.“

“We have been ordering here for a few months now, and they are always really good every time we’ve ordered. They throw in extras,
and one time gave us some donuts that we probably wouldn’t have tried on our own, but they turned out to be phenomenal and we usually order them now! They’re like fried dough, but way better. Everything here is packed full of flavor, the egg rolls aren’t loaded with grease like most places, and the tofu isn’t spongy and dry. I don’t think we’ll ever order from another place if we’re in the mood for Asian cuisine!“

“First time ordering, the restaurant we used to order from, something changed, quality of the food just isn't what it used to be and we had been ordering from them for at least 10 yrs....Golden Ponds is now our go to, the food was so good, flavorful, not heavy on sauces, and yes we order french fries and they were delicious, they do not have the taste that they were fried with other food, they were perfectly crunchy, not greasy. “Omg this is soooo good nice hot bone broth. My soul needed this and I'm picky so it's perfect. Clean place service is nice and not pushy calming and relaxing. Food is yummy, dont pick alot on your first visit. My bowl under 20 but you can do damage go slow. And good ice“

“LOVE New Number one-- I get the wonton soup and kungpao chicken.
Flavors are fresh-- It tastes like food, not just oil or sauce. I notice that the chicken texture is best at the beginning of the lunch rush. Wonton dumplings are the best I've tasted in Rochester.
They are very accommodating for my dietary restrictions (no garlic, no celery)
The price is great for the quality. They give a lot of rice, which I love.

We have tried so many different places lately and this one is definitely the best. We will be coming back here for sure!“

“Ran in here for lunch when I was out running errands. The menu has a fantastic, wide selection of dishes. I love a noodle soup and I got a spicy soup with brisket and tendon. The broth was delicious and the noodles and meat were generous. I left with my tummy full and a smile on my face.
The service was fast and friendly. They checked in on the table the right amount.

“My go to Chinese since I was a kid! My favorite dish is the simple chicken wing with pork fried rice and load it with their boss sauce on top. I also like their chicken with garlic sauce, pepper steak, and seafood delight!Not in the best of neighborhood. It has gotten it better over the years though.Friendly owner and workers. For the same cost of a combo from a fast food restaurants, I'll take this any day.“

“I had this for my birthday meal with my family before I went back to college on the other side of the state. It was so good that sometimes when I’m scrolling on my phone and come across food reviews, I crave this food so much that I consider driving the 300 miles back just for a bite.

Not only were the prices good but so were the portions and I had leftovers for days afterward. I nearly wept tears of joy every morning when I would open my fridge and see that my rabid greedy family hadn’t eaten all the leftovers, leaving me able to still enjoy the food.

All in all, 10/10 would eat here again oh and also the workers were really nice too“

“I ask the owner Chef what's the best meal between the bourbon chicken and sesame and she said neither i don't eat this food. I ended up getting bourbon and pork fries rice, spring roll with chicken nuggets, the nuggets were horrible take off the menu. Spring roll bad. Rice was good. Chicken after 4 bites my jaw was hurting. Beautiful family, food was not up to my standards“

“This is my favorite Chinese food spot in the city! It's the best sweet and sour chicken & chicken lo mein I've had by far and I like that they have so many options. Not everything is a winner but it's fun to try different things and don't think it's that big of a deal if you don't love everything. The food is always ready very quick and I like how they package everything up (it never spills or drips in the bag) The inside is sort of rough around the edges but it's take out only so I don't think that really matters.“

The rice was so good, the ribs if microwaved is good also, the chicken was kinda dry and taseless, and the sauce given was not helpful but overall it is reasonable good compared to the price.“

“Honestly, their food is very good. I enjoy their vegetable rice, spring eggrolls and soups. The service is fast. I recommend that you call ahead for your order. When I was sick, this is the only Chinese food that was able to stay down. And I still order from them. ?

“Nestled in the hood of the community however I get fresh food from this restaurant. I ordered regularly in the food is always fresh and hot. I introduce my parents to this place they also love it. We enjoy more Chinese traditional dishes that they're capable of executing. My experience is normally on point highly recommended“

“Can't say much about atmosphere because we got takeout. We previously would order at this location and it was fairly good. Recently it seems they made some significant changes. The order came with a delivery bag that helped keep the food hot. When i got home all of it was still steaming hot (ideal). The food was excellent. We also got a lot more food than I was expecting which is great!“

Amazing order. Cooked quickly. tasted amazing. Actual large chunks of chicken not just breading and sauce. Huge portion of food. I would put this against any takeout order I've had. Excellent.“

“If you're not a local its very hard to even notice this place exists. Their food is always delicious and one of the best asian food spots in the inner city. I've never had an issue with their service. Their biggest problem is their location. The business windows look stained and gray. You walk inside and think you just broke into an abandoned building. You talk to the cashier through a tiny hole in a wall maybe the size of a square foot. The rest of the counter is boarded up with plywood. Graffiti is all over the walls and tiles are missing or cracked. This is the kind of place where you go with a friend so they can watch the door in case someone decides to mug you. I'd advise against ordering and waiting there. Definitely pre order so you can be in and out.“

“I always order for delivery. I have never been to the restaurant, but have driven by. Delivery Service is always great and they always deliver my exact order.
However this time I ordered something I rarely get, Beef Chow Mein. There was no flavor, very mushy, not many vegetables, little to no meat and just simply flavorless. I tried. But I wont get it again.
Beef on the Stick is Great and so is the Won Ton Soup.“

“I ordered 1 pt roast pork with mixed veggies. It was really good and cheap. The vegetables were very fresh and lightly cooked. The soy sauce was gluten free. I loved my dinner.

The decor is stark, only two tables, and a homeless woman was sitting at the other table. It’s in an unattractive area.“

“I've eaten at Chef King on and off for over 20 years. For me it's almost always great. I was a little leery about ordering again seeing a few recent not-so-great reviews. But, I ordered today and it was great. Really actually quite perfect. I got the Tofu Homestyle and a lunch portion of vegetable Egg Foo Young. To be honest, I don't think it could have been done better. Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked. I went around noon on Wednesday.“
