“The food was ok. I ordered the General Chao's Chicken with vegetable dried rice and shrimp eggrolls. I thought the rice could've been a little better but it was acceptable. The rice grains were bloated on the outside and a little undercooked on the inside but the price is good!“

The food is better than I’ve had in a long time, and the people working there are so friendly and polite every single time. Happy we found them in the first place!“

“Ran in here for lunch when I was out running errands. The menu has a fantastic, wide selection of dishes. I love a noodle soup and I got a spicy soup with brisket and tendon. The broth was delicious and the noodles and meat were generous. I left with my tummy full and a smile on my face.
The service was fast and friendly. They checked in on the table the right amount.

“First time ordering, the restaurant we used to order from, something changed, quality of the food just isn't what it used to be and we had been ordering from them for at least 10 yrs....Golden Ponds is now our go to, the food was so good, flavorful, not heavy on sauces, and yes we order french fries and they were delicious, they do not have the taste that they were fried with other food, they were perfectly crunchy, not greasy. “The food was absolutely amazing! We ordered take out. The packaging was actually really nice and convenient especially for the ramen bowls. When we picked up the food there was only one person seated. Which was surprising. As soon as I seen the food in the bag I knew there was no waiting an hour drive home to eat it as we were only in the area for a doctor's appointment. The food was absolutely delicious. All of it. The lady and gentlemen running it were both very polite and professional. We will definitely be making it back to this place to try some more. I can't believe this place isn't packed with people. “My go to Chinese since I was a kid! My favorite dish is the simple chicken wing with pork fried rice and load it with their boss sauce on top. I also like their chicken with garlic sauce, pepper steak, and seafood delight!Not in the best of neighborhood. It has gotten it better over the years though.Friendly owner and workers. For the same cost of a combo from a fast food restaurants, I'll take this any day.“

“I ask the owner Chef what's the best meal between the bourbon chicken and sesame and she said neither i don't eat this food. I ended up getting bourbon and pork fries rice, spring roll with chicken nuggets, the nuggets were horrible take off the menu. Spring roll bad. Rice was good. Chicken after 4 bites my jaw was hurting. Beautiful family, food was not up to my standards“

“I have ate here twice now and both times my food was ready quick, it tasted great and the lady that helped me both times was nice and accommodating to my requests. I had chow mein fun both times it was delicious and this time tried a steak egg roll which was different but good! They definitely should have a higher rating than 3.9! I have been looking for a go to Chinese restaurant but have not had the best elsewhere but this is definitely it going forward!!“

“This is got to be Rochester's best kept secret: King Food Restaurant. The food there is great, fast service and very politely and professionally attended. You will get plenty of food at a reasonable price. The attending ladies will greet you with a smile and ensure they get your order correct every time. Very happy customer here who visits them weekly.“

“This is my favorite Chinese food spot in the city! It's the best sweet and sour chicken & chicken lo mein I've had by far and I like that they have so many options. Not everything is a winner but it's fun to try different things and don't think it's that big of a deal if you don't love everything. The food is always ready very quick and I like how they package everything up (it never spills or drips in the bag) The inside is sort of rough around the edges but it's take out only so I don't think that really matters.“

“Honestly, their food is very good. I enjoy their vegetable rice, spring eggrolls and soups. The service is fast. I recommend that you call ahead for your order. When I was sick, this is the only Chinese food that was able to stay down. And I still order from them. ?

“Nestled in the hood of the community however I get fresh food from this restaurant. I ordered regularly in the food is always fresh and hot. I introduce my parents to this place they also love it. We enjoy more Chinese traditional dishes that they're capable of executing. My experience is normally on point highly recommended“

“Superwing been here for years , got food from here as a kid here there , how ever when they change people the food also changes , as long as it's the older ones food will be ok if you see more than a man and woman just know something about to be off . Not sure if the young ones just don't rele care but yea . Def have got my order mixed up a few times , had me upset but set it right just the fact of having to go all the way back 🔙 once in house , esp the veggie rolls ,smh but other that's that over all I give a strong 3 .78 to a 4 .“

“I ordered the ribs, fried rice and half a chicken for delivery. The delivery was not so fast that the food cooled down a bit. The rice was so good, the ribs if microwaved is good also, the chicken was kinda dry and taseless, and the sauce given was not helpful but overall it is reasonable good compared to the price.“

“I've eaten at Chef King on and off for over 20 years. For me it's almost always great. I was a little leery about ordering again seeing a few recent not-so-great reviews. But, I ordered today and it was great. Really actually quite perfect. I got the Tofu Homestyle and a lunch portion of vegetable Egg Foo Young. To be honest, I don't think it could have been done better. Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked. I went around noon on Wednesday.“

“If you're not a local its very hard to even notice this place exists. Their food is always delicious and one of the best asian food spots in the inner city. I've never had an issue with their service. Their biggest problem is their location. The business windows look stained and gray. You walk inside and think you just broke into an abandoned building. You talk to the cashier through a tiny hole in a wall maybe the size of a square foot. The rest of the counter is boarded up with plywood. Graffiti is all over the walls and tiles are missing or cracked. This is the kind of place where you go with a friend so they can watch the door in case someone decides to mug you. I'd advise against ordering and waiting there. Definitely pre order so you can be in and out.“

“I had an order on Friday night. When I received it, it was wrong and I actually ordered the wrong chicken wings. Not only did they come back with what they forgot. They also gave me the right chicken wings. I’ve always had a great experience with this restaurant and it’s the only one that I will use.“

The rice was amazing and the orange chicken was so good, it was saucy and tasty. We also ordered the fried dumplings that were incredible as well. All around so good.“

The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor, paired with fresh and well-seasoned broccoli. “No frills takeout place. I actually walked in because the food smelled so good from the outside as I was walking to the Dollar Tree next door. Service was great, no difficulties communicating with staff, and the food was better than expected at a good price point. “Didn’t want to cook on thanksgiving and was searching around for takeout and this place popped up. I used to come here as a kid and haven’t been years. The crab ragoons are delicious and triangle folded and not pinched in 4 corners so they’re nice and fluffy and crispy. The coconut shrimp is going to be my new regular order nice big sized shrimp and the sauce is sweet and creamy. The soups were nice hot and flavorful.“

The decor is stark, only two tables, and a homeless woman was sitting at the other table. It’s in an unattractive area.“
