“Stepping through the doors of TK's I felt as though I had wandered into a dream—one where candlelight glows like captured starlight and the air itself seems perfumed with possibility. Yet even in a place so artfully enchanted, nothing could have prepared me for the poutine that arrived before me like a revelation on porcelain. This was not merely poutine. This was a culinary sonnet, a whisper from the gastronomic heavens. A dish so sublime it felt almost mischievous to call it by its familiar name. The Wisconsin cheese curds announced themselves with unapologetic pride. You could taste their birthplace—lush dairy fields, cows humming contentedly, the whole pastoral romance. Each curd held its integrity just long enough to declare, “Yes, I am from Wisconsin,” before surrendering into a gentle, buttery melt that can only be described as perfection liquefied. They didn’t just melt—they blossomed across the warm potatoes in creamy, celestial ribbons. And then there was the demi-glace. Oh, the demi-glace. Calling it a “half” anything feels adorably modest. This sauce was appropriately named only because it is indeed better than half of a glace—it may be better than all of them. A rich, velvety pool of umami velvet, it cascaded over the fries with the elegance of a silk gown in motion. Deep, complex, and infinitely comforting, it managed to be both bold and tender at once, like a secret told in a familiar voice. And what of the phrase “better than Canada”? Risky, perhaps. Blasphemous to some. But after a forkful of this poutine—this enchanted mosaic of potato, curd, and demi-decadence—I found myself whispering it involuntarily. Not out of disrespect for our northern culinary champions, but because sometimes a creation transcends borders and loyalties altogether. This poutine is not better than Canada because it compares itself— It is better because it dares not. It simply is. In short, the dish is a masterpiece. A warm, glowing, cheese-laden love letter to indulgence itself. If a restaurant can be judged by its poutine, then TK's is nothing short of the north star of flavorful delirium. The view of the falls isn't demi bad either.“

“Late-Night Gem: Hungry in Pittsford, NY
After 9:30 PM, finding a spot for a quick and delicious bite can feel like a challenge, but Hungry in Pittsford delivered beyond expectations. I ordered their Hungry Wrap, Italian Sausage, and Platter Combo, and they whipped everything up in no time!
The Platter Combo was a crispy, indulgent medley of fried treats, cooked to perfection and paired with tangy sauces. The Hungry Wrap was a cheesy, flavorful delight—each bite was a symphony of fresh ingredients and bold seasonings. The Italian Sausage was packed with hearty flavors, perfectly balanced by caramelized onions and peppers in a soft, crusty roll.
Every dish was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. Hungry not only nailed the taste but also the speed—an ideal spot for late-night cravings. If you’re ever in Pittsford and need a quick yet satisfying meal, don’t miss this place.“

“Visited from out of state and was told I needed to try a plate. Quite the culinary experience! I’ll definitely be back again when I’m in the area.“
“All you can eat, allergy accommodating dining hall that puts it's students first. The staff is really welcoming and always says hello. You can get everything including pasta, the wok station, salad, fruit, soup, burgers and fries, sandwiches, desserts, ice cream, fresh bagels and English muffins, and whatever the hot entree's of the day are. Lackmann is always trying to find new and exciting things for students and loves getting feedback. Overall, a fantastic dining hall on campus!“

“My partner and I had our first date at the EG seven years ago, so in an uncharacteristically sentimental moment, I made reservations for us to eat there this past weekend. (We've eaten there a few times in the interim, but this was our most recent visit, just to clarify.) We've always enjoyed the quality of the service, the overall atmosphere and, until this last visit, the dinner cuisine. The Reader's Digest version: Tasty Old Fashioned cocktail for me, a vodka highball with a barely detectable hint of vodka for her. Very good French Onion soup and good white chicken chili for apps. Our crab cakes were ... fair - not a lot of filler, but a bit bland and underseasoned. Very good carrot cake for dessert, accompanied by very good hot coffee. Now, the cautionary part: If you eat dinner here, I'd strongly suggest you skip the $36 wagyu meatloaf - we agreed it was underseasoned, with an unappetizing texture (dense and chewy, more reminiscent of forcemeat than meatloaf), served with a decent Espagnole sauce that provided badly-needed moisture, and containing a few bits of what I can only surmise was incompletely ground gristle. It really missed the mark, especially at that price, in an otherwise good restaurant. We'll be back, of course - it's not as though this particular meal was the norm in our experience, rather than the exception - but if this was how the wagyu meatloaf is typically prepared and served, it needs work. Our server, Hanna, was professional, efficient and friendly. One other criticism: The dining room chairs are quite short - unless you're a six-footer or taller, prepare for your tabletop to be awkwardly high.“
“Delicious egg nog ice cream! Also love the raspberry/chocolate tarts and s’mores tart! Great customer service and cozy atmosphere!“
“Catina & Grille is one of the best restaurants on the RIT campus for students to have breakfast and lunch. I visit the restaurant twice a week, and my favorite dish is the burrito Rice Bowl. This dish is a perfect mixture of all the healthy ingredients, and they add a variety of protein, like chicken, beef, pork, etc. The restaurant's ambiance is excellent; people can work on their laptops while enjoying the food. The restaurant service is up to the mark from 12:30 to 2:30 PM. There is a huge crowd of customers at the restaurant, so your order can be delayed due to the same, but apart from that, the overall experience at Catina & Grille is excellent. I highly recommend people living in Rochester and nearby areas visit Catina and Grille and especially try my favorite dish, "Burrito Rice Bowl."“

“The wait was long due to the busyness, but checking out the merchandise in the shop was very nice and sped up the wait time. The hostesses were very kind and accommodating. Then, with a party of 6, we had the BEST of the BEST server, Latisha! It was a pleasure having her serve us, as she was friendly, always with a smile, efficient, caring, and went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable! THANK YOU, LATISHA!! Also, the food was excellent!“

“My elderly dad was having a fit about his Beef on Wek sandwich not being right, after I explained to him that it was, but two different management people very patiently worked with him on it three different times and tried to get it to what his expectations were. I was losing patience and never really got to eat my meal because I was attending to dad. I just wanted to thank you (at the Avon location) for helping me through this and not making it worse! Thanks“

“Ate there last night. Service was good. Manager Julie super friendly and welcoming. 3 of us had fish fries, 2 battered, 1 breaded. Large portions but a bit overcooked. Coleslaw portion small though. Broccoli with garlic butter had a topping that was a bit salty until I mixed it up. Delicious. Super attentive waitress. Never had to ask for a refill of ice tea she'd bring it upon noticing it was getting low. Wedge salad ginormous!! Almost entire head of lettuce!! Friendly staff and good service. Definitely going back for a 2nd try on the fish.“

“Michael's Valley Grill is a warm, welcoming bar/restaurant with a nice ambience, which is important to people like me, who appreciate subtle lighting over brightly lit rooms. The current owner and staff are friendly and attentive, professional but not stuffy. There are some booths in the dining area that are somewhat private, and tables with white table cloths that feel elegant but not overly fancy. Or, one can choose to sit at a table in the bar area. Tonight we chose to dine at the cozy bar. There are black board specials but honestly, the regular menu is diverse and with plenty to choose from. Today I had panko breaded chicken Romano with mozzarella and tomato sauce over penne and it was wonderful. Everything is good there. You leave feeling comfortably pampered after having had a unique and special dining experience.“

“We had a great time and experience here at Petals. They have a great selection of food to order. We got the appetizer called the munchies. The appetizer called the munchies is the perfect combination of a little bit of everything on the appetizer menu all on one dish. The service was good and fast. The bartender was very friendly, attentive, and is very good at what he does. The atmosphere is very laid back lounge feel. Petals is inside the hotel. Both sides of Petals is very laid back.“
