“Lingo was the perfect choice for a special celebration. I brought my daughter here and the night was great. It’s a beautiful space, genuinely warm and personable staff, and excellent Japanese-inflected food with a creative twist.
We did have one miss: the ribs were too fatty for our taste. But here's where Lingo service stepped in. Without any fuss, they took the dish off the bill and were so gracious about it. That kind of hospitality is rare and says a lot about how they run their restaurant.
Everything else was delicious and the vibe was just right for a celebratory dinner. I'll absolutely be back.”

“My family and I were so impressed with Minetta’s. We came for the food and history and left feeling like we just had one of the best nights in New York. Our waiter was spot-on excellent, quick, concerned, and at the ready for anything our group needed. Every dish was wonderful. I wish we could have stayed longer and had yet another course, but we split due to theater plans. This wasn’t our first trip to Minetta’s and won’t be our last.”

“was able to snag a reservation easily on a wednesday night. It was exceptional contemporary take on Korean cuisine. perfectly fried monkfish and an incredibly crisp, flavorful fried soft-shell crab. A standout experiential highlight is the DIY scallop gimbap. For the mains, the duck bulgogi was our favorite: umami, savory, and sweet notes, all tied together with a deeply satisfying charred, smoky finish. The bread pudding that is wonderfully delicious without being overly sweet, followed by a gingery shaved ice that provides a sharp, refreshing palate cleanser”

“Always promised myself on my next trip to NYC I would go to The Dead Rabbit. I am so pleased I got to do it. The staff the cocktails the food and the decor & cleanliness were A1. Loved the welcome my friend and I got, (even when we were a bit late for our booking) throughout the service from the fabulous servers. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Bloody brilliant 👏”

“For us, the food was hit or miss. Right from the start, the Sardine toast was the star of the night, then there was aRazor clam special, which was 50/50... the clams were great, but we didn't prefer the melon taste to the dressing. After that, we had the mortadella and sourdough. Both were very good. Ate that we had the snap pea salad and the mitake mushrooms with garlic fudge. Again, both were excellent. It was the mains that just fell apart for us. The bucatini had slices of squash on top that were dry, and a bit too much basil, which overpowered the dish. Other than the basil, it was lacking in flavor. The other main was the hake and risotto. While the risotto was heavily citrussed, almost too much so, it was still tasty, but the fish, again, lacked flavor/ seasoning/ salt. Overall, the meal was a 3.5, but we bumped it to a 4, because worth the omission of the mains, it could have been a 4.5-5.”

“Absolutely delicious drinks and food. I got the “hangover” pasta gluten free and it was some of the best gluten free pasta I’ve had recently. The staff was also really friendly and nice. Excited to go back and try more”

“Loved every dish- fluke with black tea, mint and peach(who knew raw fish and fruit went so well together?), amazing grilled artichokes and grilled eggplant. Barely touched my pasta with preserved lemon because I was full, but it was delicious. My daughter’s burger was iconic. The Platonic ideal of hamburgers. Coffee was also delicious. If we had not made a plan to go to La Cabral for dessert and more coffee, I am sure dessert would have been equally excellent.Service was excellent and our waitress was knowledgeable and interested in the food. The fluke reminded me of the first time I went to USC in 1988. I had a plate with raw marinated tuna, raw salmon and raw scallops. The little heaps of fish were so pretty on the plate with their contrasting colors.”

“A delightful heaven off court street. We haven’t had this level of high skilled cuisine in Carroll gardens in a minute. The food is to die for! The relaxed yet stunning atmosphere, the warm homy yet elevated design, and the extremely precise, friendly and high EQ service just add to rounding up one of the best experiences you will have all around.”

“I had a wonderful experience here celebrating someone’s birthday! The staff were very attentive and every dish was a hit.
We splurged for the 14 day aged duck and it was so worth it — it’s now my favorite duck I’ve had in NYC! I’d recommend coming with st least 4 people if you order it.
The pan con tomate and frog legs were surprise hits for me, and I loved the chai tres leches cake for dessert.”

“Blue Hill is a basement restaurant on Washington Place in the West Village that has been making a quiet, serious argument for farm-driven cooking since 2000. Dan Barber built both this and the more celebrated Blue Hill at Stone Barns around the idea that what a farm produces, including the things farmers can't sell and the parts of animals that restaurants typically skip, is the most interesting starting point for a kitchen. The room is intimate and warm with exposed brick and low ceilings and the kind of hush that comes naturally to a place below street level.
The menu changes constantly based on what's coming in from the farm that week, which means specific dishes are beside the point and the philosophy is the whole experience. The vegetable preparations here are consistently the most memorable thing on the table, roasted and sauced and composed in ways that make you rethink what a vegetable dish is supposed to accomplish. A roasted beet with something fermented and something creamy alongside was the kind of course that arrived looking simple and tasted like a lot of thinking had gone into it. The grain dishes are another area where the kitchen's sourcing shows most clearly, ancient varieties with textures and flavors that supermarket grains don't carry. The roasted chicken when it's on the menu is the comfort dish the room earns, properly golden and served with vegetables from the same farm. Desserts are restrained and seasonal and land cleanly after a meal that has been building toward them.”

“This was a fantastic experience! From the moment we stepped inside, the staff was courteous, engaging, helpful and knowledgeable. We had a party of 3, and ordered 6 dishes. Each dish came out as it was made and each dish was absolutely delicious. A person in our party had a gluten allergy which was no problem and accommodated with ease. We come to NY every year and this will absolutely be a place we revisit again and again! Vegans, vegetarians and omnivores alike will appreciate the dishes and be amazed with the taste! Highly recommended!”

“The food was so delicious (that salad and fish in lettuce wraps were my favorite) and also beautiful. Loved the ambiance and the cocktails too! Definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu.”
