“I really wanted a tasty burger. I've arrived. Nice, cozy...I took the burger. And they stuffed so much finely chopped grass into it that it felt like you weren’t eating meat, but had become a vegan...The chicken is delicious, the sauce is just greatFrench fries are very, very goodOverall a good place, but the burger was disappointing“

“It's a very long wait on a Sunday. I arrived around 11.15 and the wait for one person was an hour. For two people or more it was a 3 hour wait. The famous pancakes were delicious, even as a single stack was quite large. The home fries were just broken up hash browns so a little disappointed.I would go back if I was super hungry, but because of the long wait I had eaten something small beforehand.“

“Perfect experience of a typical diner!Super generous portions, tasty dishes and a warm welcome!I tried the garnished salmon fillet: I've never had such a large quantity on my plates + a super good split pea soup!If I didn't live 6000km away, I would make this place my canteen!“

“A perfect establishment—solid breakfast food, kind servers, and a vibe that reminds me of going to breakfast with my dad as a kid. Other diners in the city are at least twice as expensive and don’t provide half the warmth or charm of this place. Thank you thank you Mike’s!!!“

“Amazing, uncomplicated food that's tasty and really good value. The challah bread is particularly good, and I love the potato soup. It's also a very welcoming place to eat if you're on your own - just take a seat at the counter!“

“Awesome brunch. Wait is really long on the weekend however and they only do walk-ins. Food came out slow and service left something to be desired but food mostly made up for it. I'd definitely try and come here more often if I lived closer and it wasn't as busy!“

“Our favorite diner in Park Slope. Our most preferred dishes are the chicken & waffles, classic nachos, huevos rancheros, mango smoothie, cheeseburger, and enchiladas. The diner does Mexican dishes very well. Their house hot sauce is hot, makes me sweat, that's hot spicy it is. Strongly recommended.“

“Unfortunately I can't give a general opinion, seen from the outside it seems like a characteristic and very bright place, there was a scary queue to enter, I highly recommend showing up before 6pm or arm yourself with a lot of patience“

“We stumbled upon this diner on a quick overnight trip to NYC. It’s everything we were looking for, delicious food made quick with excellent service. The owner at the front was greeting everyone like old friends and you could just feel the sense of community. He seemed to know most people by name. We split a Philly cheesesteak and a BLT sandwich for lunch. They were both excellent. Would definitely recommend. 10/10!“

“Johns coffee shop is honestly a great breakfast and lunch place to go to when visiting NY. The egg, bacon and cheese roll did not disappoint although basic still very delicious and good price. The banana but pancakes were my absolute favorite. Service is excellent and seems like they know their regulars very well. Such a great place to come eat.“

“We came for breakfast on 4/27/24. I have a gluten allergy. I ordered scrambled eggs, potatoes, and bacon (it also comes with toast, but I obviously told them bc of gluten to hold the bread) I also got the seasonal fruit which was blueberries and strawberries. Everything was delicious! The best part was I didn’t get glutened. My daughter got the pancakes and a hot chocolate and said they were very good. The pancakes were HUGE! (I didn’t get a picture of them). My aunt got an omelet and she said it was very good as well. There was a line and we waited maybe 5 mins. The waiter was very friendly and once we ordered the food came out really fast. Highly recommend!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten Allergy“

“Stellar!! You'll have to wait in line (no reservations) but it doesn't take too long. Service is good and food comes out quick. Extremely reasonably priced and really incredible food. No frills diner and authentic new york experience. Could not recommend this place enough“

“Had breakfast there twice. Once solo and the next time with my wife. Consecutive Tuesdays. Just there this morning, after the golf range at Chelsea Piers. It's a combination of Greek and Mexican specialties. I have sampled the eggs overeasy with corned beef and this time had three poached eggs with fresh tomato and feta, home fries and coffee. All wonderful. My wife had fried eggs with ham on top of grilled taco. She loved it. This is a top notch diner with excellent service.“

“It’s what you’d expect from a diner. The atmosphere was great the staff were friendly and attentive. The club sandwich was a good size and tasted great. Had the chicken and waffles. The waffles were nice and soft, the chicken was ok. We also had the eggs benny which I was told was nice but not enough sauce. All in all a good experience. I’d come back.“

“A classic no frills diner, they had seating for my group of 5 immediately for 11 AM on a Saturday and was a really good price! I got the Spanish egg white omelette (which I still don't know what exactly was in it other than mushrooms and onions). It came with toast and home fries and although was a little on the oily side, was good and cheap! Quick service and hits the diner food itch.“

“Burgers and Chinese food at one place, never would have thought! Burgers were good, big and juicy, and relatively inexpensive. The "caramelized onions" were those fried onions you get from a can and not really caramelized onions. But for 10 bucks with fries and a can of soda, im ok with it.“

“This was a happy accident for me. I booked this not realizing that it was a Vegan restaurant. Never having eaten vegan food before I was a bit apprehensive on whether I would enjoy....well I'm happy to say I not only enjoyed but LOVED the experience. How the heck you make a vegan bacon egg and cheese is beyond me but whatever magic they use is working. Delicious! Very cool vibe and decor and very friendly staff as a bonus.“

“Before I went back to college after spring break, me and my family took a stop at the Colonial Diner to get some food for diner, driving into the parking lot and getting seated pretty quickly. There were a good amount of other people in the diner, so getting a seat quickly was nice. Service wasn't anything special, but I don't really mind. The atmosphere of the diner is great, a very retro feel like it just came out of the early to mid 1900s. It was a cozy vibe. We got the 21 shrimp, breakfast burger, french toast, and some fish that was a special- sorry for forgetting the name. Really liked my breakfast burger and my sister's french toast. The shrimp was pretty basic though, and I think the fish could've been seasoned a bit better (it still tasted good!).Overall a pretty good place to drop into if you're looking for an affordable bite with a nice vibe.“

“EAT HERE!! It’s my first time in NYC, and this place is my go-to. I’ve come here for breakfast & dinner. It’s clean, BIG food portions (delicious food), the staff is VERY friendly and kind. It’s also in a safer area as well, I haven’t encountered any problems around here. I recommend this place!! 10/10“

“My old haunt tried and true! Food is decent and service is exceptional. Sometimes I ask for specific deviations from the menu and they are always accommodating which I appreciate! Last visit chef lost a couple of points for serving sending out a pasta dish that had obviously not been strained before plating so my a La vodka sauce was pretty watery. I had to add Parmesan and sour cream to thicken it. PS the desserts are delicious!“

“We had lunch here, and sat outside on a lovely fall day. Service was a bit funky -- not bad at all, but somewhat forgetful -- but the staff was friendly, apologetic when appropriate, and enjoyable. The food was very good. Classic old-style diner with a broad-ranging menu. Everything we had was well-prepared, tasty, and served hot. I'll go back. A little gem.“

“Top notch! I was skeptical of the high ratings since many of the places we've been to in Manhattan have been higher rated than I would give them but ZAZA'S has earned it. The turkey bacon was the best I've ever had and the French toast was divine. My husband also said it was 4.5 stars for him, the highest rating he voiced for any place we visited this trip.“

“I didn't get to take any photos but this was a great find for a late night meal. Have cash or Venmo app ready. We ordered tacos and burritos. Everything came out fresh and fast. “Stopped in for a quick breakfast (and also to get out of the rain). Had a booth to myself just before the early lunch crowd started arriving. Went with a 3-egg turkey bacon omelette. Chose home fries and rye toast to accompany it. Also, ordered an orange juice as I had had my morning coffee already. Service was good and prices were reasonable. Not a bad diner if you are in the area...“

“This is a traditional NY style Greek diner, huge menu, coffee all day, porcelain booths, the works. Lots of seating including sides with fishbowl views of Westchester and Buhre Avenues ... If that is your thing. Such a place is a comfort for many, as it is for me.“

“American pancakes are a must, absolutely one of the most important dishes to try that I wanted to include. I ate the most delicious dishes here. Blueberry was tempting with the photo on the menu, but it totally blew you away in person. Served additionally with fruit and maple syrup - real gold in a huge portion ? Eggs with salad and avocado toast served really beautifully and tasty. Nice promotion for Mimosa, but it's only worth it if you drink 4 or more of these drinks, the taste itself wasn't the best, so we're glad we didn't try more. The service was okay, although the waiting time was a bit long to approach the table and show interest. Generally, a very nice place with a large selection of dishes.“

“High number of Google reviews are justified. Loved this diner! Fajita omelette and banana pancakes were really good. Fortunately there was no waiting over the Easter weekend. Sit by the windows, and enjoy some good sunshine while having your brunch. Service was a bit slow as we had to remind about our orders thrice, but the staff was very pleasant to work with. “My friends and I came in for a quick brunch and were very happy we did! The server was super friendly and efficient, and the food was so much better than expected. The menu items we got were simple, classic breakfast items, but between the eggs all being cooked perfectly and the wonderful surprise of the cinnamon Belgian waffles, it was one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while. It's very no-frills good food.“

“Went on a Saturday and it was pretty busy. Fortunately we didn't wait long for a table. We ordered a basic breakfast platter, eggs, bacon, potatoes, a pastrami sammy and french toast. All the food was delicious, well cooked with care. Service was very friendly but a bit slow but understandable seeing how busy it was inside. No complaints in that regard, tbh. Will be going more regularly!Parking: The restaurant has maybe 7/8 spots at most. There was street parking available close by.“

“Bendix diner is like stepping back into time. It's nice to see an old school diner like this. Don't let it's facade fool you into thinking that the food is greasy or average. Quite the contrary, the quality of food is very good, the portions are of good size and the prices are reasonable. There are artisan hot sauces on each table and counter, the syrup is maple syrup only but with cool flavors like Madagascar vanilla, cinnamon, habanero and others. Also the tea, they use premium tea leaves. All of that struck me as odd in a good way. The owner John and his son Michael are wonderful. They are attentive and provide good service. Their food is excellent. I had a turkey club there that rivaled 4 star hotel restaurants. It's truly a hidden gem“

“One of my favorite places to go with my fiance! Breakfast is a go to of ours. Service is always amazing.I usually get two eggs sunnyside up or over easy with either bacon/pork sausage, cheese grits (American and ask them to stir the cheese in), and rye toast with coffee. The pancakes are 10/10. If I don't get eggs i usually get the pancakes. They are consistently great. If you don't want grits you can get fries or home fries. Both are great as well.Another solid choice for lunch/ brunch is the turkey club on white.Love going here and always have a great time with the love of my life. My favorite pancake partner in crime.“

“Our party sat outside in our own boxcar feeling seating. We had booth seating (which was movable) at a table that could easily fit 6. The room had our own air conditioner, small window, and sliding door. Even though we were outside in the sidewalk, we were isolated from the world. It was devine. It made our dining experience intimate and allowed one of the party who wears a hearing aid be able to hear all of us and engage in the conversation. The food was brought to us promptly. It was all very tasty. I had shrimp (5 jumbo sized) and pasta in Marana sauce. This was a new dish for me. Although the food was tasty, this is not a pairing I would recommend nor order again. I would return for another visit and order something else as the service was wonderful.“

“Homey diner spot in the neighborhood and it’s a real gem. Kinda hard to notice from the store front but inside is a bustling and welcoming family-owned diner. The staff is friendly, attentive, and quick to serve. Their coffee is delicious and I have yet to find a dish that I wasn’t satisfied with. Tried the corned hash with eggs and it was yum :) The chicken salad triple decker sandwich was also delicious. The food is always made fresh and super filling!
