“This is hands down the best Peruvian around! My wife is Peruvian and has an incredibly high bar and it’s authentic with the owner / chef making everything fresh being superb quality. We regularly go to Lima, eating at the best restaurants there and Mistura can hang with any of them. We were wowed, as they’ve more than earned their perfect 5-star reviews.Highly recommend going and getting the ceviche, lomo or pollo a la brasa. Also the owner can cater big events which is perfect for family gatherings.“

“The food was so delicious. Flavorful and nice portions. I had the lamb special and it was perfectly tender. The ceviche was tangy with just the right amount of spice. What made it even better was the service and homey atmosphere. The chef/owner chatted with us too which always makes me feel good about a restaurant. We'll definitely be back and bring family to try it out.Parking: There's some street parking and also two municipal lots within two minutes' walk.“

“The service was good and the food was amazing!! The manager was very kind. Since this was our first time trying Peruvian cuisine, he took the time to explain each dish and special to make sure we knew what to expect. The portions were also HUGE which is always a welcome surprise! Especially if you're planning to share the food with family or a group of friends. The wait time was quite long but that's because they do their best to bring out all the food at the same time, so no complaints there! All in all, highly recommend!!“

“I have been going to Quenas since they first opened 13 years ago. Every meal has been perfect and the service is exceptional. I’m looking forward to many more years of enjoying Quenas; the best family run Peruvian restaurant in Westchester.“

“This is the third time I visited this place in a week. I wanted to try every single dish they have. The food is amazing ? and the rotisserie chicken is the juiciest and tastiest I’ve ever eaten in Westchester. The chicken in Chaufa fried rice tasted like it’s been grilled and they added red bell peppers. Their green sauce is delicious with a hint of lime. By far the best Peruvian restaurant. In their Lomo Saltado you have the option on how you want the beef done. The fries were salted which I find unusual cause most Peruvian restaurants don’t salt their fries. I tried their purple corn slushy drink and the mango lemonade good too but too sweet for my liking.“

“We just had the most delicious meal at this new restaurant. The hummus and the spicy feta appetizer was fantastic. We all had platters - chicken and gyro. They were both plentiful and delicious. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. We are looking forward to going back soon. I highly recommend it.“

“Unfortunately my last trip there was not up to scratch. They don't serve wine or alcohol but no sign saying so. I also asked for green spaghetti and my date asked for it in Spanish for me and I didn't get its a shame because I do like the food here but next time I'll be trying other Peruvian restaurants close by.“

“I've been walking passed this place many times but finally stopped in to try their food today.Since it was my first time, I decided to order the safest looking thing on the menu, their rotisserie chicken.I always see people eating it inside, so I figured it was a sure thing. And boy it was delicious!!!The chicken was seasoned to perfection and very juicy. The yellow rice was super soft and seasoned well. The beans and plantains were also super delicious. The green sauce was so good, you could drink it by itself.Overall the food was awesome.I'm so glad I finally tried this place.I will be coming back more frequently to try other things on their menu.“

“We had mixed seafood ceviche, papa de huancina, lomo saltado, and roast chicken. Everything was absolutely perfect. One is the best ceviches I've had. Everything's flavor was on point and was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Dessert was good as well with interesting and delicious purple corn syrup rice pudding and dulce de luce cookies. Thank you we will be back again.“

“Maura’s has some delicious Peruvian food! We got the hanger steak with chimichurri, carne asada tacos, lomo saltado and rice and beans. Everything was amazing and the fresh ingredients used really shined through. We can’t wait to go back.“
“Good little restaurant/Bar that wife and I tried on a Sunday's early evening, Place have about 5 tables and bar area with 3 screens to watch games (I assume,) waitress was polite and friendly when she took our order and not more that 10 people at that time. Food: we start with a beef empanada ( I was a little skeptical because sometimes other places use ground beef, but to my surprise here they use chucks of tender beef,) that was pretty good; Then we both order "Bandeja Paisa" (signature Colombian dish that brings a steak with sweet plantains, a sausage, fried pork, white rice, a wedge of avocado, all this topped with a fried egg and beans on the side.) was a good choice, everything was tasty. I just not rate a perfect 5 only because ceiling fans are just on top of us and cooled the dishes off very quickly, overall was a good experience and will give a try with some Peruvian dishes that we saw on the menu.“

“My second time trying lomo saltado was here. Really good, delicious, the fries were quality. Hefty serving. First time I had lomo was at Delicias del Jireh - too salty. Rocoto’s Deli did lomo right.I always order a glass of chicha from here. Perfect balance of sweetness and cinnamon. I like it better than Purple Corn’s chicha which lacks the sweetness. One other time I ordered Arroz chaufa con mariscos. I loved it but wished they would add a slice or two of lime to complete the dish.“
“Food here is great for the prices they charge. I did wish that the interior looked a little bit more updated, and sometimes there is a cleaning smell present if you sit down inside. Staff is very friendly, but does not speak too much, English, so, if you do not speak Spanish, it may be challenging to order. For the price is the charge, though it's a great value!“

“Good food. We got the 1/2 roast chicken with 2 sides which is a bargain: $14 and it feeds 2 (they have 1/4 chicken but it's just $2 less). Chicken was great, salad good, rice was rice. Got served ~5-10 minutes after ordering. My spouse also got a soup full of seafood (crab, fish etc) which they liked, but it's not my thing. Stopped there en route from New England to NYC; this restaurant is easy off, easy on I-287 the Cross Westchester Expy that leads to the Tappan Zee aka Mario Quomo bridge. It's just east of I-87 and the Saw Mill River parkway which run south to NYC.If you know Spanish that's great. If you only know English (like us) then the paper menu in the restaurant has English (& Spanish) descriptions of everything, and numbers for all the dishes, so you can read it and order by number. We trust the quality in a family-run type of place like this more than a fast food chain partly or fully staffed by teenagers, if you know what I mean. Sorry we ate a bunch of the chicken before I took the photo.“

“Food and drinks were great; service was very attentive; big screen was cool to see a soccer match. Individual plates were very large for one person (on my own opinion) for being a new customer, next time I will know what to ask. ** I am a truly believer that Global food waste must end, as natural resources have to consume conciously. **Vegetarian options: Causa, Papa huancainaKid-friendliness: Baby changer and high chair available, natural juices, kids plates“

“I've been here many times through the years, and although the service has been questionable many of those times, THIS TIME it was actually good! My young friend wanted to take me to her new "favorite taco place". I was shocked when we ended up at Mancora, which is (supposedly) Peruvian. But what do I know? When in Rome do as the Romans, right? So at her urging I ordered Carnitas Tacos (roasted pork yummies), and she ordered Pollo Tacos (chicken, hold the tomatoes!) We also got a bowl of guac which was surprisingly inexpensive and delicious. The tacos come in two's, so note to self, TWO IS ENOUGH! I ordered 4, and sent the extras home with her. I'm not sure how these would do as take-out, whether they'd get soggy or not. If you can go off-peak, you might be better off dining in. We did go in the middle of a Saturday afternoon, and were the only ones in the restaurant for a while. So eyes wide open on this place. Try it, you might get lucky.“
