“Seriously fantastic food. The bustup shot Roti and curry was amazing. Considering how insanely popular and crowded the place was it ran very smoothly. I only gave it 4 stars for atmosphere because you can't be that busy and popular and it be a really relaxed environment 😀. The kiosk when you walk in is super convenient and the order comes out right there or you can wait in the crazy line to see everything on offer.

The people working there are really friendly and nice and handled the insanity so well.

“Very impressed since they was decorating the place. I was passing by every day till they finally open and I desire to try the food, I was curious and also I’m not a vegan person. When I finally try that food I just got in shock. Super tasty, delicious, the Trinidad and Dominican Republic flavors- was so down the earth. So thankful to have them at the neighborhood, the service is excellent and Yesenia and her employees super professionals. The ambiance and decoration soo relaxing- I love the food and the service, how they welcome you, is hard to find a place like that. “Everything is seasoned to perfection here! Easily one of the best burgers (vegan or non) that I’ve had in awhile. Honestly, the only reason I remembered I wasn’t eating real meat was that I didn’t get my usual stomach ache or feel the heaviness of a greasy beef burger. Also the nugs are perfectly seasoned! “I make a habit to go to Seitan’s Helper every time I’m in New York for work. I get 4 sandwiches , to also have with me for traveling back on the train.
As a vegetarian , getting a good sandwich is hard … but these 2 take sandwiches to a new level and make them above and beyond.

On top of the amazing food , the 2 owners are lovely people, and are always jamming out to some 2000s pop-punk

“I’ve been to another Che Li location a few times and visited this location for the first time back in May. The restaurant’s design is always lovely — each dining area is built like a small wooden oriental courtyard, which matches the Zhejiang cuisine theme perfectly.

We ordered quite a lot, and every dish turned out to be enjoyable. The crab roe noodle was especially delicious, better than the version I make at home lol. The soup dumpling were also quite good. Overall, a very refined and satisfying meal.“

“Recently went and although the food and waiter staff were great, we were expecting what we seen on here. There was no performances. An empty space. Apparently there's a 2 hr gap between brunch and dinner. The booking site allowed for a 4pm reservation. When we arrived we were accommodated but looked at funny. We found out that brunch had ended at 3pm. I was really hoping for the full experience I seen here and paid alot and didn't get it.“

Until yesterday, I have been consistently disappointed. But this? It was absolutely EVERYTHING I had dreamed about. “I was very impressed, moonlighting in the bartender night life for the last 20 years. I normally don’t go out to bars. My sister and myself were down at Lenox hospital for our Dads surgery. One of the desk staff at Franklin Hotel recommended Penrose! The staff, manager and bartender were so friendly. I have to say I was very happy. I will certainly pop over again next time I’m in the area!!!! The drinks and food were top notch… So cheers Penrose to your amazing hospitality ❤️“
