Music wasn't to loud that you couldn't talk. Every lane was safe as they had cages and made sure people threw in their own caged lane. Overall I'd rate this place 9 out of 10“

“I was very impressed, moonlighting in the bartender night life for the last 20 years. I normally don’t go out to bars. My sister and myself were down at Lenox hospital for our Dads surgery. One of the desk staff at Franklin Hotel recommended Penrose! The staff, manager and bartender were so friendly. I have to say I was very happy. “We had our wedding dinner at Panzon-- and it rocked! Could not be happier with how it turned out.

We did a full venue rental and held a cocktail hour followed by family style dinner. David, the owner, was super responsive and helpful planning the menu and event. Staff, service, and food were amazing the whole night. Big recommend!“

You can feel the intention behind everything at Bar Americano from the weight of the glassware to the garnish on the drink to the playlist. “I went to El Pingüino about two weeks ago and absolutely loved that they offer happy hour seven days a week and it’s becoming a routine for us!
The hours are 4–7 PM, plus a late-night happy hour from 10 PM to midnight.

Their seafood happy hour is pretty simple they only offer one type of oyster but it was super fresh and delicious. Clean, lightly briny, and perfect with just a squeeze of lemon.

And they have really great basque cheesecake!

The overall vibe is relaxed and easygoing, making it a great spot to unwind after work or grab a late-night drink.

If you’re in Greenpoint and love oysters, this place is definitely worth checking out.“

People actually dance even though it’s not a club. Security is nice. More of a grab a drink with friends place and listen to music than cocktail bar or club. My go to place on Fulton. Swing by the halal cart after in front of the Franklin station.“
