“As usual I'm always craving something. I needed a Dominican hit badly. I searched for a place nearby with great reviews and I ended up at Chris One Flavor. Luckily for me I received free delivery ie to my free trial membership via Grubhub. I initially placed an order for Pepper Steak, White Rice, Beans, Boneless Chicken Chunks, and Empanadas - Beef and Chicken. I received a call from one of the employees who informed me they didn't have pepper steak. I tried to communicate with her to give me a different steak dish, but she didn't understand me. Her English wasn't the greatest and my Spanish was a little choppy, we managed to get through the call and I ended up with two orders of Boneless Chicken Chunks. The food was delicious. I received a decent portion of food. The rice was perfect. I liked that it had a little bit of oil in it which made it less dry and mushy. The beans were more sauce than beans, but it was absolutely tasty. I didn't care for the empanadas.“
“I mean, first off I'd like to say, if you're coming here, you MUST order the Picadera sampler. I mean, I think about it from time to time and this is what keeps me coming back. The ambiance is good and wait staff is wonderful. I don't love the Ala carte pricing as others have said but the food is great and the vibes are good so worth going on a nice date night or dinner with friends.“

“Tres Leches Cake is THE BEST omg. I’ve been trying tres leches cake everywhere until I found this place by so many recommendations from other people, it’s truly amazing. The best I’ve ever had!Sayra helped me and she was so so sweet!!!“
“The place is pretty small, more of a takeout style since there are only 2 stools alongside the narrow counter. I ordered the traditional chimi chimi minus the mayonnaise since I just hate mayonnaise. The sandwich comes with the beef patty, pan de agua, green tomatoes, and white cabbage, and the sauce is a mix of mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard and hot sauce. I got the homemade tamarind juice to drink. The chimi was pretty good, I loved that they really kept it traditional with the green tomatoes and white cabbage. The sauce mixture was very good. The meat itself was a bit dry and lacked flavor so you definitely need the sauce to up the flavor. The tamarind juice was absolutely delicious and tasted, just like how they make it in DR. The fried cheese balls were just ok. We also ordered the beef empanadas, which were probably my favorite item along with the delicious green sauce. The service was great. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area and want to eat chimis.“
“This place is definitely serving the community with delicious food at low prices! The pork chop over rice and fried chicken/baked chicken over rice were $8 each! It also came with beans and a fair amount of food. I think the smaller plates are $5, so wow - what a deal! It's worth the visit, so please support this man!“
“Their food is delicious! I'll definitely would love to make this a regular lunch spot or when I don't want to cook I 100 percent recommend ? I can't wait to try their other dishes! I'm pregnant I'm waking up in the middle of the night thinking about it ?“
“The food was absolutely delicious. We waited at least 1 hour for them to tell us they didn't have pernil or oxtail. But the churasco steak was delicious. And they made up for this by giving us delicious empanadas and dessert on the house.“
“As a Latina, i can say the following statement: THE BEST EMPANADAS IN THE CITY. So delicious, they even have their name branded on the dough. Just, so creative with the fillings. I got the shrimp and guava/cheese empanadas and I had to order more. Please come in here and try them out. You will not be disappointed !!!!!!“
“I went for first time as recommendation. I am looking for a place that has good food where I can order trays for a party. The staff was helpful and during a busy time which seems like it always is for them. They were able to get my order (sampling the food options) put together quickly. I will definitely be placing my party trays with them for my upcoming event. The food I ordered to sample was great and tastes home made.“
“The food was amazing everything look good but the baked chicken was so good and flavorful cooked to perfection. The rice mixed with black beans and veggies so good the avocado a wide selection of drinks. Service was amazing everyone was smiling talking to customers.. ambiance pretty just 12pm on. A Monday“
“I knew this place was going to be good — I love hole in the wall joints. And boy, was I right. The food was on point, the price cannot be beat, and Anthony, my server, was delightful.5/5 across the board and definitey will be returning!“
“The Food at Brisas Del Mar is in Far Rockaway the food looked absolutely delicious there were some good choices to choose from that was on their menu and the service was good I was taken care right away and the price was good for what I picked out I would go again when I get the chance check them out if you're in the area ???“
“We ordered 5 dozen for thanksgiving dinner and they were a hit with everyone at the party! Will definitely order more for Christmas. After the holidays we are looking forward to order custom ones like the shrimp and the crab. Thank you so much for these delicious pasteles.“
“20230927 - Didn't know anything about Dominican cuisine but I was certainly drawn by the aromas of the rotisserie chicken walking past the store in the morningThe chicken was adequateThe fried pork ribs a little dryThe servings were bigWhat I liked was that the lady in the store was kind enough to go to the back of the kitchen without being asked to get the chicken fresh from the oven as those on the counter had been there for a while“
“Owners are super nice. They care about people individually and always polite. Very clean establishment. For the price the portions are a nice size. The fresh juice options are endless. The large is a full meal in itself. Always a pleasure stopping in. Parking is tricky, but they are quick with service so double parking is a norm.“
“I saw they offered catering and I set up 10 food trays with them which they efficiently provided at the exact time I needed it.The food is delicious and I must say the pernil and fried chicken bites are a must!I couldn’t have asked for a better caterer , 5/5 hands down .“
“The food here is hands down the best “Spanish” Dominican style food in Brooklyn!!! Everything is always fresh! Nice and hot! And free flavors will blow you away! The staff? Well the staff and service make you feel right at home. My favorite neighborhood spot. Try the steak and onions with rice and beans and a side salad or maybe even the Sancocho!! Honestly I can’t just choose one dish. They’re all delicious. Thank me later!!Parking: It’s street meter parking on the actual avenue … But you do get lucky and Side streets are free.Kid-friendliness: Yes it is.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes it is.“
“Tropical Sensation Restaurant came on the UWS scene around 15 years ago and has proven itself to be neighborhood stalwart serving up delicious Dominican, Latin/Caribbean Cuisine. I haven't had a bad meal yet, and I regularly visit for Lunch or Dinner. The hospitality is always warm, friendly and welcoming. The portions are also generous. Check them out!“
“So happy to have found this Spanish food place. Been here twice... both times the food was fresh and delish. Baked chicken was well seasoned and juicy but my favorite will always be ox tail. They did not disappoint. Not the friendliest service but fast and efficient.“
“Saw the restaurant on YouTube and decided to go. Not sure what I got. But it was amazing. The beans were excellent, full of flavor and not over powering. The pork was nice and tender, used a plastic knife to cut easily. The place itself is honestly a questionable place, hole in the wall place. However the chef Anita and the server (seen on YouTube) were amazing. $20 for two people. Salad (not pictures) was also included“
“Omg I have eaten lots of ribs in my years, but p&c spanish restaurant knock it out of the park and then some, the ribs so tender and it tasted like you are actually eating a pernil from old school cook, please don't ever change it I love it the best I ever ate,Kid-friendliness: They are friendly with everyone.“
“I am giving 5 stars because the food was delicious although for the price $15.95 for a 1 meat plate the amount that is given is not worth it. It comes in a 3 section divided plate. I ordered the Pernil with white rice and red beans. The amount of Pernil was disappointing and the beans that came in a small container were mostly caldo (sauce) with very few beans, however, they were delicious. I wish there was more. There was lots of white rice which was very tasty and everything together was really very good and seasoned quite well. I also ordered cheese empanadas that were also very good. Not greasy and very crispy. I don’t know if I’d order again because the price with delivery, fees and tip is not worth it for the small amount given. Maybe if I’m in the neighborhood and drop in because the food is well made.“
“Got a crazy craving for Dominican food this morning, ordered their Tres Golpes, SonCocho, with rice and , pollo empanadas, bottom line, very delicious. Didn’t disappoint, I felt like I was in heaven. Will definitely order again in the future. Thank you so much ?“
“I love their food, I usually ask for pick up/delivery as this place is definitely where they know how to spice the rotisserie chicken & the red beans perfectly! Literally when I have people order from any where else, I can tell they didn't order from here!!“
“The menu at El Sabor de la Esquina is a delightful tapestry of Mexican flavors, featuring a variety of dishes that cater to all preferences. Their tacos are a must-try, with tender and perfectly seasoned meats, fresh toppings, and homemade tortillas that add an extra layer of authenticity. The Carne Asada tacos, in particular, were a flavor explosion that left me craving more.Beyond tacos, their selection of enchiladas, burritos, and quesadillas are equally impressive, showcasing the rich diversity of Mexican cuisine. Each dish is crafted with care, using high-quality ingredients that shine through in every bite. The ambiance of El Sabor de la Esquina is lively and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a fun and memorable dining experience. The friendly staff adds to the warm atmosphere, providing attentive service that enhances the overall enjoyment of the meal.If you're searching for an exceptional Mexican culinary experience in New York, El Sabor de la Esquina is the place to be. “This place is amazing! Super friendly service, delicious smoothies and some of the best prices for fresh smoothies and juices in the area. Very generous sizes too!Dietary restrictions: They have almond milk, coconut milk and coconut water for smoothies. Vegan friendly!“
“Everyone here was so kind, the food and service was excellent. Bathroom was very clean, and the prices are awesome. One of the staff even patiently let me practice my limited Spanish with her. I have a week here, and I’m probably coming here for breakfast as often as possible.“
“My favorite spanish food restaurant. Food is delicious, service is excellent, alcoholic drinks to die for, as soon as you walk in u are costeously greeted! We always go mid afternoon because we go with our little one but if u go late afternoon-night u will find the adult astmosphere u r looking for. Ppl say the restaurant is pricy but to me is worth it, the food quantity is great and delicious, can't order appetizers bc if i do i wont b able to finish my food. Overall go try it u wont regret. Esther is very nice and corteous, they all are but Esther is my #1 girl“
“Amazing food! Excellent service! Outstanding juice bar!!! We had the Moro and ribs and chicken cutlet… yellow rice and beans and pastelon… delicioso!!! Please go here!!! I highly recommend this place… wow!! By the way….. the prices are great!“
“This is it. THE spot for mofongo and chicharrones! Both were moist and flavorful. I was crying inside as I tasted the first few bites knowing I'll be back again and again. Friendly and welcoming service too! Will be back soon to try the other items“
“(Translated by Google) Good flavor, very friendly and helpful staff, parking available and easily accessible. Thank you for your good attentions.(Original)Buen sazon, personal muy amable y servicial, parqueo disponible y de facil acceso. Gracias por sus buenas atenciones.“
“Talk about a hidden gem! Inside the deli they serve also amazing Dominican food. The workers are friendly, prices are great, portions are huge, and all the dishes I've tried have been amazing. Go support your local businesses! Try the pernil with moro. Don't ask why, just get it and thank me later.“
“My girlfriend and I were suppose to go to Ihop and for some reason found by this place. Upon entering, we saw all the selection of what we can order. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My girl had a yuca and eggs combo while i had a Italian combo sandwich. The food had great flavor byt the best was the coffee .I would definitely recommend this place and I'll be coming back. This definitely was a better breakfast option than Ihop .“
“The food is very good. They have excellent service. I recommend it.Vegetarian options: THEY HAVE FOOD WITH SALAD AND SNACKS.Kid-friendliness: THEY HAVE SPACE FOR CHILDREN AND CENTERS.Wheelchair accessibility: THE ENTRANCE IS SPACIOUS AND BATHROOM ALSO.“
“The best of the best Dominican food in queens. Chivo (goat) was ? even if you don’t like goat, you will like their goat. Roast chicken is amazing as well. Beans, rice, tostones, onion, all the Dominican staples are as good as they come. Huge servings, very affordable. It’s a casual restaurant with high quality service. The staff are all very polite. Good place for families - they didn’t mind that our toddler made a mess. I’m def going back again and bringing more friends and family.Kid-friendliness: They had kid chairs and didn’t mind that our kid made a mess“
“I had the chicharron de pollo with white rice and red beans and they were really tasty! ?? Next time I need to ask for lime for the chicharron de pollo and more of those little dressing things that come with the combo. Idk what it was but the creamier one tastes really good with the tostones and the thinner dressing elevated the flavor of the red beans!“
“Absolutely delicious. It should be noted that this is actually Buen Sabor, the Dominican place on metropolitan. Not sure why the name is different. Anyway, my husband and I get Tres Golpes breakfast from here often. they cook everything fresh and it's always delicious. The tostones were great too. I've ordered mango juice and lemonade and both seem to be made from scratch based on the taste and color. I would highly recommend if you like Latin food!“
“I have to admit, Mary's Restaurant was truly fabulous. Great ambiance, clean and friendly service. Everything tasted fresh and was very good! The crew was magnificent, literally every one. Mary's Restaurant... Go there, if you can.“
“Honestly, this is one of the best Dominican restaurants in the city, but what really won me over was the beans. They're so good and I never really go for beans at most restaurants. Only thing that holds them back is the lack of chicken on occasion.“
“Good service, good prices, personalized attention. Clean tidy place. If they don't have what you are looking for ready, they prepare it for you on the spot. I ordered pork chops with rice and beans, delicious. Reasonable prices. Crispy and tasty tostones. I recommend it.“
“I don’t know what people are talking about ! The food service was amazing the food was fresh and did not feel out of place.Being a person of color I felt comfortable going in and trying Dominican delicacies. Y’all stop lying ! That might have been the previous owner but this place is under new management!Came all the way from melrose in the BX, this place is 100%“
“Best food in the 161 court area of the Bronx. Hands down. I also used them to cater my holiday party and the food was Top notch !!! Also the everyday food menu is extensive so there's something for everyone and the sandwich guy is official !!“
“We walked to El Manto, a pleasant half mile from our hotel next to LGA in search of an adventure. Hotel-type food is almost always a last resort.El Manto features a steam table with delicious, freshly made Dominican Food. It is not a fancy restaurant atmosphere. We saw a steady flow of people picking up their food, everyone with a smile. The same person cooks, serves, tends the 5-6 tables, and hums a pleasant melody that reflects her values. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. As we walked back to hotel we commented how pleasant was our adventure at El Manto. This is a neighborhood gem!Wheelchair accessibility: Restroom is not wheelchair accessible.“
“Very convenient where this truck is located! Speaking on behalf for all the drunksies; we appreciate chimi truck! I was stranded roaming 4am looking for FOOD...WATER.... HOPE! And suddenly a good eye distance away I see the chimi truck! Thanks for your service and food is SLAMMINNNN!!!“
“The place was nice, the service was good, and it would have been nice to see the menu with the prices. Our order changed from $28 to $42 dollars and we were not too happy about that. It's okay. We may come back and we need to save money for that. The place felt more like a bar.“
“So, Sonny's makes their own drinks (sorrel, peanut punch, mauby, etc.), and their peanut punch is pretty good, but their sorrel tastes like sugar water almost. Their service, nonetheless, is amazing. The ambiance is a bustling, yet calm one.“
