“A real gem just over the New Canaan CT line in Vista NY, a tiny hamlet in the town of Lewisboro in Westchester County. Family owned and operated for decades, this restaurant serves a great selection of meats, fish and Italian food, all perfectly prepared. Sons are the waiters with perfect attitudes and personalities and very attentive performance. Indoor/outdoor dining and a fireplace enhance the experience. “Just left a crazy Thursday night at IL Forno. What a fun and enjoyable evening we had. We walked in with no reservations and the manager snuck us right in and we even got to the listen to an amazing singer. We have been here a few times, this was by far the most fun we had. Everyone was laughing. The staff which seems to be plenty was having a good time. The manager and Owners kept walking around and making sure all was good and everyone was happy. Thank you for restoring our fun Thursday evening with no COVID fears.“

The food is magnificent; the portions are large yet without skimping on the artistry of fine Italian food. The owner is always there to great us with a smile, even all these years later, and the chef is always willing to help make your experience whatever you can imagine in your head. Their specials are just that, SPECIAL, not because they are going bad but because for decades, they have provided Westchester and many visitors, with a customized and mouthwatering, dining experience. “Gisellas has been our favorite go to Italian restaurant in DANBURY since it opened. Food is always delicious and consistent and the wait staff couldn’t be more accommodating. Unfortunately last night we had a different experience the moment we walked in the door. Hostess was very unfriendly and dismissive, no eye contact and acted like she was doing us a favor seating us! Thankfully, like always, the rest of our dining experience was amazing!“

“It has been awhile (too long) since we’ve eaten at Portofino’s, just busy. It was very nice to be recognized and they were genuinly glad to see us “back”! Our dinner was delicious! I had the sea bass over risotto. The bass was cooked to perfection! And their service was excellent as always! Thank you for a wonderful evening! One of the things I really enjoy about Vesta is the rooftop setting. It has a great atmosphere and gives the space a fun, relaxed vibe that makes it perfect for brunch or a casual outing with friends. The rooftop area feels lively and unique, especially during nice weather.

Their brunch menu is excellent and offers a great variety of options. Whether you’re in the mood for something savory or something a little sweeter, there are plenty of great choices. It’s definitely a spot I look forward to visiting when I’m craving a good brunch.

“We were there for a wedding shower and the food and the service were exceptional. Well done to all!“

“Passing through and looked up where to eat. We were in the mood for Italian food and this was one of the closest to us. We were the only ones there when we alked in. We were seated immediately.

I noticed that all but one of the tables were set up and learned that it was reserved for a large group. So, if you need a place to cater Italian food or host, this would be a great place to do so.

At the last moment, we switched from ordering pizza to spaghetti 🍝 over angel hair noodles and meatballs. It was a HUGE helping! We had leftovers. Aside from the meatballs tasting bland (it definitely needed seasoning), over all it was ok after pepper, salt (which I try to avoid using table salt) and mixing it with the sauce, it was fine. It came with a side salad. The bread was good also! They do offer desserts, but we were full!

The waitress (same person who greeted and seated us) did a great job. Although she was busy helping prepare for the large group coming in, she had a good balance of checking in on us. (If we had to ask for something, such as silverware, straw, et, she came back immediately with it.)

“I very seldom order take-out - but I tried LaFamilia for pizza when they first opened in Pound Ridge - and was not impressed. However, a few weeks ago I found myself without side dishes for Sunday dinner - and I ordered salads, broccoli rabe and a few other items and they were excellent. Last night I ordered two entrees and they were outstanding.“

“Food is always amazing, and I will never stop going there, but one thing confuses me. Every time I order a gluten free meal for takeout, there is a giant hunk of bread in the bag. With the gluten free meal. After calling and indicating a gluten allergy. So my wife has to remove the bread and clean the container before I can eat. It's worth the trouble, but it seems like a no-brainer that when someone orders gluten free, there shouldn't be bread in the bag.“

“My FAVORITE pizza place in Ridgefield! I’ve been eating their pepperoni pizza for a decade now, usually 1-3 times each week.

I love their rich pizza sauce, the crust is nice and crispy, and they’ve got the sliced pepperoni which is great so no cups of grease like at some other places. Their slices are flavorful, and I don’t even need to add any extra spices unless I want some heat.

The staff are friendly and professional, and they always remember regulars. It has a calm and relaxed atmosphere, so I like decompressing after work there, or just meeting with my family for a quick sit-down lunch.“

“I’m a tenant in the 400 plus units at Abbey Woods - just a mile from the restaurant and definitely NOT in favor of your delivery policy.
I have to meet your driver 3 stories down at the front door because they will not come in the building to deliver/ your place is the restaurant in town that has this ridiculous idea of how to do business! It definitely affects me as to where I’m going to order from as I’m sure other tenants feel the same way.
Having said that - I think I just had the BEST meatball grinder that I’ve had in years.
