“Excellent pizzas--the best in the county. With some really creative combinations. And the salads and other dishes that we have tried have been quite good as well. There is obviously someone very talented in charge of the food here. Service is good. The staff is friendly and attentive. My only complaint is that the lights are always turned up to last call brightness, and the charm of the exterior of the old farmhouse is not matched in its no-frills interior. Even so, great place.“

“Stop the presses!! I found a great new restaurant where artistry trumps slinging hash. It’s Pop Empanada, re-christened Pop Pasta Supper Club on Thursdays and Saturday nights. On those days, Chef Nicolas Pescatore prepares a 6 course meal, and even if you don’t like every course, you will appreciate the artistry and the ambition. Tonight, the courses were 1. celery avocado salad (replacing salmon, which this landlubber doesn’t like), 2. shrimp empanada in a butter curry sauce, 3. pork belly confit, 4. raviolo-soft boiled egg center in a brown butter sage sauce, 5. brisket ragu paccheri pasta, and 6. dessert of frangelica panna cotta key lime shortbread crumble. The cost with tip is around $100 per person plus the cost of your BYOB. We wouldn’t pay that cost often, but it’s a welcome break from the restaurants where kitchen staff show up at 4 PM and are ready to serve at 5pm.“

“This is a classic Italian restaurant. Years ago in NYC there were many small restaurants on side streets that had excellent food. Very few of those survive. But Aperiti is heir to that tradition. “We absolutely LOVE Chick-Fil-A. They have the best chicken sandwiches and fries. We have been waiting for a location around us to open and when they did, we were very happy. This was our first time going and the service was spectacular. The person that took care of us there was Kenia. She was very polite and made sure our table was clean and that we had enough to drink. When you place the order through the app, you can scan the QR code on the table so the staff knows where to bring the food. And if you’re missing anything, you can ask someone for assistance, which we didn’t even have to do because Kenia was so attentive. Great service!

“Overall, I thought the food was good, and prices were fair. Unfortunately, the service was mixed, and while our server was pleasant, there were too many mistakes. Wrong food to one of us despite my friend being very specific, and she read back the order. Another pasta dish was way overcooked despite being told al dente. Our appy was supposed to be shrimp, crab, and lobster, but it came without the shrimp. While these may have been kitchen mistakes, the server is ultimately responsible for making sure our order is correct, not the runner. And there was more, spoke to the manager and he did the right thing taking off for one dinner and one appy but this was just bad training. Overall, we had a good time, but Im not running back here.“
