“I attended a surprise party this Saturday evening. The cuisine was preselected, waiter service was excellent, should receive raises. The table arrangement was very poor. The party was downstairs in one of the private rooms. We were 25 people at one very long table, basically the length of the room, which made it difficult for guests to get around the seated persons at the head of the table on either side. Having two tables would have been a better arrangement, but one long table was not conducive for conversation since we were so far from the other end of the table. The food; not many complaints, I really didn’t have a problem. I didn’t have a lot of food, but it was delicious. The dessert, sorry not very good. Those Famous Crepes(palacinkes) sorry not that great. A lot of crepe and not a lot of filling. The dish was served with fruit, unfortunately this fruit was not in season, so the watermelon although it added color to the dish, upon tasting it, left much to be desired. Why not serve fruit that is in season? No offense to my party hosts who selected my menu for the evening, it didn’t lend itself to the 5 Star Reputation of Dubrovnik’s. I would like to make reservations and splurge on a dinner on my own, I have a feeling I would LOVE the experience! Btw, another plus was the parking!“

“The food was awesone!!! And the chef was super friendly. I have eaten the Salmon, fried whiting, string beans, Mac and cheese and corn bread. All were favorful and delicious. The potato salad was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant. The hubby had the ox tails and turkey wings and he was more than please! The food is definetly cooked with love! The strawberry mango lemonade ( with alcohol) was on point and one definitely had me feeling very nice! Please take the time to check out this establishment.“

“My daughter and son took me to Sylvia's on 4/27/24 for my birthday. We drove up from Philly, my sister and son-in-law was there as well. Food/service was excellent. Atmosphere was good. Our waitress Ms. Olga was a true blessing, her attitude and her politeness, matter of fact it was Ms. Olga birthday as well. They sang to me, I really enjoyed myself. Today is Monday, I'm eating my leftover ? for lunch. I had seafood combination, yams, mac&cheese. I pray one day I can visit again. The weather was cold so we ate and drove back to Philly. The place was clean and very aesthetically pleasing, even the restroom area was nice and clean inside and out. “I brought my daughter for dinner this past Thursday night. I didn't know there was live music. I was a little worried at first that my daughter would find the music too loud but she loved it! The honey truffle Brussel sprouts were so delicious. I can't wait to go back and have it again. We also had the risotto funghi and banana bread pudding....both also very tasty. We started with Clams Casino and Clams Oreganato. They both were absolutely, fresh, tasty and we loved them both. I had the capellini with crabmeat and shrimp and I was so pleased with the taste of the creamy tomatoe sauce and the sweetness of the crab meat and delicate flavor of the shrimp. This pasta dish was superb. My husband ordered the Seafood Pescatore with linguine. He was enjoying the dish and all the seafood ; mussels, clams, calamari and shrimp were all tender, fresh and delicious. We ordered the creme brulee with blackberries and dragonfruit. What a wonderful burst of texture, creaminess and crunch of glazed sugar browned to perfection. We have found our Italian Cucina that will be our "go to" in Yonkers. Tutti a mangiare a tavola.“

The Mac and cheese was definitely tasty, they should maybe bake it a bit more to give it a nice crust.The drinks were a bit too strong and on the higher end of value.Service was great. They allowed us to swap out some of the sides. We got fries, corn bread and Mac and cheese for our sides. All tasty.Establishment does have limited onsite parking so get there early and lock in your parking spot.The indoor decor gives off a rustic wooden cabin vibe with fake lanterns. “The restaraunt looks small from the outside but it's huge inside. It's very well decorated with Portugal contents, which was adorable. (See pic) The servers were very professional but still remained personal with us. The ambiance inside gives off vibes like the restaurants over seas which was a nice feeling. We had the chowder appetizer which was very good but just a bit on the salty side. Service was casual but efficient and attentive. They split a shared appetizer without being asked. It's a little on the noisy side but not nearly as bad as some other restaurants. While not inexpensive it's a good value.“

“Best seafood restaurant on City Island! I've been to them all. Lobster House is the best! You get a ton of food, and they are beyond accommodating. One of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. Ask for Antonio! The ambiance is nothing special, but the Lobster house makes up for it with good food, large portions, and freshness. For all that you are getting, it is well worth it. When you sit down, you get a salad, antipasto, fresh warm garlic and blue berry bread. The menu was really fantastic almost exotic actually. The food tasted great, and the service was good to HOWEVER, as much as I enjoyed the experience, i have to be honest: We did NOTE enjoy the fact that (for whatever reason) our highly anticipated Bronzino took an hour to come out to the table. Fortunately, the company I was with made the waiting time not quite as unbearable as it would've been otherwise. They brought out the food for two of us at the table and fortunately the person that ordered the Bronzino had also ordered a kale salad. So he didn't go completely without while waiting, but his anticipation really made the weight feel long. Our waitress, Ariel, did her best to placate us and ameliorate the situation. We were pleasant, but certainly annoyed by the situation, and she, while being put between a rock and a hard place, handled it all quite gracefully and professionally.
