“El Rey is a great little spot! We've been here two times now. The atmosphere is casual, service is great, staff is friendly and food is yummy! I ordered the chicken Tinga tacos and my fiancé ordered the carnitas tacos both times. Would definitely recommend for a quick and delicious meal.“

“Me and my husband recently enjoyed dinner at Sante Fe in uptown Kingston. Our server was Alyssa and she could not be more perfect. She was attentive, beyond kind, met all of our needs and even helped us pick drinks. We enjoyed our conversation with her and we hope next time we dine she is there !!!! ALYSSA IS THE “

“Delicious, different Mexican options. So many more I want to try! Lots for vegetarians. Great guac! Music could be a little less loud, but love the high ceilings. “We ordered take out today from Mexico Lindo. We ordered combo box number 2 with tacos al pastor and birria tacos, a magonada, and chicken wings (not pictured because my kids destroyed them in seconds - but they were delicious!). Our food was hot, authentic, and delicious even after the drive from Kingston to Accord. The taco box, that comes with chips, salsa, and guacamole would have been enough to feed my family of 5 (3 kids and 2 adults) and was a bargain at only $49. My teenager, who orders birria tacos everytime we eat out and homemade from his abuelas recipe, said these are the best local ones he’s had. We can’t wait to try more dishes from here!“

“Visited Los Jalapeños twice while in the area, first back in November and now in April. We loved it so much from our first visit that we couldn’t wait to come back. Both times our food was delicious as well as the margaritas. Great service mixed with a fun and colorful atmosphere.“

“One of my favorite places. The food is so unique and so tasty. The teriyaki tofu is to die for. The lotus buns and asian rice bowl (both with the tofu) are my go-tos. Great for take out/drive thru or dine in.Vegetarian options: Lots of options that can easily be made vegetarian/vegan“

“We had been driving for quite a while and we were too tired to cook so we decided to try Kokopelli's takeout. The Sierra chicken wrap was made with spicy grilled chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, and melted, fresh mozzarella. It was so moist and delicious with a little bit of a kick. The wrap was stuffed with lots of yummy chicken and I really loved it. The seasoned fries were also great. They were a little cold by the time I got home but I'm betting they're super good hot out of the fryer. I would definitely get this again and it makes me extra happy that it's grilled chicken and not battered and fried. The hubby ordered the Chicken Parmesan with penne pasta, and he thought it was also very good. Two huge pieces of chicken Parmesan with bread, side salad, and penne pasta smothered in sauce was exactly what the doctor ordered to recoup from that long drive. I look forward to trying other things like the wings and the Mexican food. The order was ready by the time I got there and the servers were nice. This is not a fancy place to eat...super casual like a deli but with limited seating.“

“We discovered this little gem two years ago on New Year's Day, after a round-trip walk on the Walkway Over Hudson, and have wanted to come back ever since (we live an hour's drive away). Their food was delicious, fresh and with generous portions. Their free salsas are so tasty you'd want to buy some by the pint. This New Year's Day, we did the same routine - Walkway then El Paso. The food is just as delicious, the portions just as lavish, and the owner just as cheery, helpful and generous. Very few eateries are open on NYD in this little township, but any open door is a heartwarming place! We'll be back next New Year's Day!“

“2023 Update: Service is still great, but likely due to costs the "Family Version" of almost all dishes has been curtailed to about three in total, and all the entrees are sized around a single diner now.2019: Always good food, great staff, great service. Been coming here for years, always A+++ experience.“

“This place is a real gem! How can so much flavor come from such a small restaurant? I had the namesake Mole Mole chicken with a side of fried plantains. The flavors were amazing, and authentic. It's a small place with interesting decor. They do a lot of takeout, but they also have plenty of seating indoors and out. The service is friendly and attentive. And the food is so good! So, the next time you're thinking of going to one of those big chains, please reconsider and give this real Mexican restaurant a chance. ...and make sure to have a glass of freshly made sangria while you are there!“

“Found this spot by accident looking for a quick bite off 87. Adding it to our roadtrip map forever. What looks like an unassuming food truck location had some of the best Mexican food we’ve had in recent memory. Solid prices, really friendly staff… just go for yourself and see! 10 out of 10 (p.s. cash only - bring lots, you’ll want seconds!) The red hot sauce is FIRE (Can I buy this by the gallon?!) ?“

“This is the best Mexican place in Kingston. There is a lot of authentic Oaxacan fare. They could do a little better with presentation of a few things, it's real home style Oaxacan food without much flair. The Pozole is a standout, probably the best in duchess or Ulster county. They also make one of the best chile rellenos I've had. The horchata is not too sweet, and the guacamole is solid and fresh , but not stand out. The tortillas are homemade and really special. The tortilla chips are also really good. They also have a sufficient tequila and Mescal selection. The owner and staff are extremely sincere and courteous. We're lucky to have authentic Mexican food like this.Vegetarian options: Guacamole, quesadillas, basically everything can be done without meat. If you're a vegan it might be tougher.“

“We have now been twice since they opened. The food is really what gives this 5 stars. Both times we got the coconut shrimp & scallops over stuffed clams for apps. 1st time we both got the fajita trio: amazing portion size & great flavor. This past time we went w dinner specials and both were cooked perfectly, flavorful & enough to bring home for a nice reheated lunch the next day.We have had the homemade flan which was top notch & the homemade cheesecake which was delicious. The service is attentive, and it seems a group effort to make your experience enjoyable.“
