“Found this restaurant by accident on Friday and we love it! In fact, we went back Saturday for Churros and Sunday for dinner again. On Friday we had their Street Tacos and today we had their Tako Bowls! This may be a small place, but their flavors are not!! Amazing food and great portions! Going with friends and/or family who haven't been before, makes the experience even more enjoyable. Straight-away, newcomers are impressed as they review the eclectic menu. We tell them, honestly - we've never had anything on the menu that we didn't LOVE. It was not unusual that, on this week's visit, our party of six couldn't make menu selections 'cause everything sounded so good. No problem, we simply "ordered for the table"! Ready for this - we ordered: 2 orders of Pulled Pork Sliders, 2 orders of Brie Stuffed Pretzels, Asador Corn, Watermelon Salad, 2 orders of Smoked Ribs, Shrimp & Grits, and Chinese Chicken Salad. OH MY, what a Scrumptious Feast! Not a morsel was left over! When the friendly, attentive waiter suggested dessert, some said, "I can't eat another thing!", and "oh, maybe tomorrow". I suggested, perhaps some very delicious iced cappuccinos, or an outrageous dessert drink. Everyone ordered something. I then said to our party, I think we need some accompaniments. My wife and I got the waiter on the side, explained we had a Birthday Gal at the table, and ordered an assorted dessert board for the table. Moments later, the board was presented with a glowing birthday sparkler and a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday". Immediately, the signature Carrot Cake, Mexican Chocolate Covered Churros, Bourbon Glazed Donuts, Cheese Cake, and Vanilla Gelato began to be devoured. Nearby patrons could be heard saying, "We'll have what they're having!" It was another memorable, Great Time at Southern Table. Bravo to the Chef and Staff!“

“We hosted an intimate wedding celebration in the elegant party room at Jean-Jacques. It was a joy to work with Donna Sullivan, who handles functions. She provided us with expert guidance in choosing the menu and every other detail. The room looked gorgeous, the food was exquisite and our guests were well cared for by Donna and the other servers. We received so many compliments from the attendees who remarked that they had a wonderful time and that the food was delicious. The bride and groom, and all of their friends and family, enjoyed themselves immensely and were able to meet, connect and have conversation in an elegant atmosphere. The party room is indeed a hidden gem at this premiere bakery and cafe in Pleasantville. My husband and I are not from the area and had never been to Jean-Jacques, but I contacted Jean-Jacques at the recommendation of a family member and couldn’t have been more pleased. It was exactly what we wanted. We had ample room for 40 guests and a jazz piano player. From the appetizers, Bellinis, Prosecco, wine and other beverages, to the sumptuous gourmet buffet dinner to the most delicious celebratory cake, everything was PERFECT. I say this as someone who has organized many events professionally over the decades. Donna Sullivan and Jean-Jacques are top notch.“

“Went for lunch on a random Monday and had the prefix menu, which was absolutely exquisite. Fresh flavors, great portions, everything and I mean everything was just exquisite. I must stop if you find yourself in Irvington, and order a couple times a week if you’re fortunate enough to live there! This place is that good.“

“I had to come back and leave another review because this experience seriously stood out. The Caesar salad I ordered was absolutely incredible — perfectly chopped, super fresh, and coated in the most rich, creamy dressing that had just the right balance of tangy and savory. Every bite was consistent, flavorful, and honestly one of the best Caesar salads I’ve had in a long time.

What really made the visit even better was the service. DiBonan and Malachi were both amazing — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it and brought such a positive energy to the whole experience.

We were visiting from out of town, otherwise this would be a favorite to frequent.“
