“Here is the easiest way to describe this place. STRAIGHT UP HOMEMADE ITALIAN FOOD! This is 5-STAR Italian deliciousness! I was last here about 20 years ago but to be honest, like most, I have zero reason to ever be in Verplanck. This evening I was down there and made the immediate decision to dine-in the second I saw their big sign on Broadway. The place looks basically the same as I remember, very neat, clean and of course with a stellar menu. I observed Carmine (at the bar) preparing some amazing looking cocktails! Great service, well priced, friendly staff and great dishes! One thing I want to point out is how the first forkful of my cold antipasto salad appetizer immediately tasted soooo different. I wasn't expecting fresh, 'sharp' provolone -- no sliced ham here kids. Tonight was an unexpected treat! I will again grab my passport and cross the border into Westchester to spend more time here! “Great tasting and consistent pizza for people who like a softer slices. I like most styles of pizza, and this is the best place for a soft and cheesy! Pretty good ingredients; I've never felt something wasn't fresh or stale. As for their other foods, their portions are a little smaller than other places in the area, still great food nonetheless but I mainly go just for the pizza. Great service and overall great place!“

“UPDATE AT THE END;I ordered online ahead of time to have my order ready on time, when I arrived in the store, the worker at the counter was choosing his priorities of personal life over the customers.He left me waiting there while my food was getting soggy more and more by the minute..He was busy catching up with some friends..When I spoke up and asked if my order is ready, the friend backed off to let me through to the counter, but this lovely worker took the opportunity to now call another friend over Video call to show him who just came in to the store.......To the business owner, if you want to have a good name, please make sure to talk to the worker that worked at the counter on March 30th at 11:45 - 11:55 pm.----UPDATE.A few minutes after posting the review, I got a reply from the owner that he will look into this.The next morning I got a call from him that he looked at the CCTV footage and wants to hear more details from me.I gave him the full story and he said that he will talk to the worker.I got a call from him not too long after the initial call, and he clarified what the story was and that the company is taking full responsibility on this.Now, after this I can proudly say, the customers service is 10 out of 5, awesome and amazing to deal with responsible people, a mistake is a mistake.“

“Had a wonderful experience at al di la! We arrived a little before 12 pm and was empty so we got to enjoy the quiet but it got filled up while we were sitting. The atmosphere is calm. There isn't a very bug menu but the food is really good. We had their famous salad pizza and didn't disappoint! We also ordered a hot coca which was perfect for this cold rainy day and a delicious salmon pizzaoili. The Eggplant rollantini was good as well. Will definitely be coming back here!“

“It’s been very hard to find good cheese anywhere. The Fiore di Sardegna is fresh and abundant here! The frozen dinners tasted fresh after heating, olives and mozzarella were amazing, olive oil was full flavored, and the homemade pasta is outrageous! Love this place! Only downside is that I do not live in Croton anymore, and the 50 we bought to take home are now having to be shared with the kids because they too have realized how great they are! I very much appreciate being welcomed like old friends whenever we dine here, as well as the professional and friendly staff, delicious food, and my personal favorite, the chocolate martini! Freshly baked bread for the table, exquisite salads and appetizers followed by an array of entrees such as chicken fratelli (my favorite) or several seafood and pasta dishes. While there is usually a crowd, the acoustics are such that you can have a pleasant conversation at your table. There is a lovely seating area with floor to ceiling windows which feels like you are almost eating outdoors, as well as outdoor seating in season.“

“Romano's started as our favorite and go-to pizza place in the area. We've recently used them for catering, and they blew away our expectations, the food was absolutely delicious! All of our guests loved the food as well. So we will be going back for more than just pizza. They always, always deliver on time, both when delivering our pizza and the catering orders.When we call, they know who we are, when we walk in, they know who we are. We are always greeted so nicely and the owners are always accommodating. We have toddlers and they are just so nice to us and them and so patient. “Late ⏰ review but overall the pizza ? was amazing visited here about a month ago. Restaurant was closed but there is a food truck they have outdoors that sells the best chicken and slices. “The new owners are basically doing their best to try to create a little music venue on the weekends. Jungle Love was on tonight and the place was hopping. We've eaten here a couple of times in the food's been good. I was a little disappointed in the chicken scarp as the potatoes were cold in the middle was kind of strange. My son lives in PA now and LOVES delis, so we went in and were totally wowed by all the options and the friendly people! The only thing we noticed is that those who had the Calamari and the salads felt like they tasted a little too much salt.
