“If I'm ordering chinese, it's Chang Garden. The quality of food never disappoints. I ordered some takeout for my son and his friend, and everything was perfect. The woman at the register was very friendly, and as she handed me my order she slipped a small gift into the bag. It was a beautiful wall scroll calendar for 2026. Unexpected and appreciated. Nice touch.“

“It was our first time ordering here, and it won’t be our last! Since moving to the area we’ve ordered from the closest place to us, and while it was always good it was never really amazing for the price. We decided to venture just a little further tonight and I am so glad we did. Everything was hot, the portions were large enough to have leftovers, and we didn’t spend an arm and a leg. We ordered the chicken lo mein combination platter, wonton soup, kung pao shrimp, and crab rangoon. 10/10!“

“A gem of a restaurant! Everything was fantastic. The won ton soup with their homemade wontons is the best. My wife had garlic chicken, very flavorful. I had Singapore Mei Fun that was great! All this with a free pot of wonderful Chinese tea and 6 orange slices. Awesome service too!“

“My friend and I went for lunch. The waitress was wonderful, quick to take our order, and quick to get our food out. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. The entire experience was wonderful and pleasant, something that is hard to find these days. We both look forward to returning with our families.“

“HomeTaste is hands-down the best Chinese food I’ve had in Buffalo. Everything was bursting with authentic flavor and came out fast, fresh, and perfectly cooked.
I tried several dishes and loved every one:
The Mapo Tofu with Beef was beautifully spicy and savory with that signature numbing Sichuan heat, perfectly balanced with tender beef and silky tofu. The Egg Tofu was delicate, rich, and lightly crisped on the outside, absolute comfort food! Stir-Fried Green Beans and Cabbage are classics, both dishes were simple but incredibly flavorful. The Chongqi Little Noodles were chewy, spicy, though it is a special, my group agreed that it wasn’t a favorite compared to the other dishes. The Fish Soup with Clear Noodles were light, fragrant, and soothing; a great contrast to the spicier plates.
The food came out quickly, and the service was friendly and attentive. The space is very small, so it’s worth keeping that in mind if you’re planning to dine in, but it adds to the cozy, home-style charm.
If you’re looking for authentic, flavor-packed Chinese cuisine in Buffalo, HomeTaste is an absolute must-visit!“

“The staff here was extra friendly and helpful. They suggested some items that ended up being great choices! The food was ready super quick and we got a cute keychain with our order. Everything was delicious and they didn't skimp on the portions! We will be back!“

“Beef and Broccoli and Shrimp Egg Roll was bomb! The lady inside was friendly and the prices are very reasonable for the high quality food! Some other local places are expensive and the food never amazes me. I will definitely be a customer of Golden Dragon from now on!! Menu is from June of 2025.“

“Best orange chicken no where else puts chilis in it how it should be imo. Used to live around the corner after moving to Tonawanda and tried about every Chinese place there and in Amherst still gotta drive over here, also including pork fried rice at no extra cost in combos is a big plus most others charge extra. Prices and service 10/10“

“There's no better Chinese food take-out in Western NY. Great quality and quantity. Best prices. Always served hot and it's double packaged to keep it hot until you get home. We love the Sesame chicken and fantastic boneless spare ribs. We go once or twice a month. Food is always hot and ready before the promised wait period. Never had to wait more than 15 minutes from the time you call or order at the counter. Genuine supreme Chinese cooking.... Fast and hot!“

“Only good Chinese restaurant I've found in NY so far. The pork fried rice was actually fried in soy sauce like it should be. The general tso chicken was actually chicken instead of duck and this is the first Chinese restaurant I've seen that cooks the general tso chicken in fresh jalapeños which actually made it hot. Really hot. It was really good. Well worth the $30 I spent and I will be back on payday to do it all over again. The egg fu young was a large serving biggest I've seen. The people were friendly and had no problem answering my odd questions about the fried rice since I've had nothing but bad Chinese in NY until now. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Overall great restaurant this will be the only Chinese restaurant I eat at while I'm here in NY.“

“Food was just OK. I've eaten at many P.F. Chang's and honestly, this is probably my least favorite location. I am from Arizona and was here visiting. It was extremely cold in the restaurant. We noted other people asking to move their seats as well as ourselves. I know our waitress asked for the heat, or I should say the air conditioning to be turned down not quite sure if it ever was while we were there at least our server was very good as she seemed to be waiting on most tables. “

“I've been ordering from here for at least 20 years, even after moving to the suburbs. We love their food! There are a few tables inside, but most customers do takeout or delivery. The shrimp toast, egg rolls, egg foo young (with its yummy gravy), and lo mein are some of our favorites. Consistency is important to me, at this place has offered the most consistently good food. Because it's located on Seneca St, street parking can be spotty, but you never have to park far. Watch out for the fire hydrant half a block down so you don't get yourself a ticket! I often park around the corner on Indian Church Rd.“

Vegetarian options: Totally customizable ordering
Dietary restrictions: Totally customizable ordering upon request
Parking: Sadly only one
Kid-friendliness: My son's favorite Chinese since he was 3. For right now they are only take out, possibly delivery, but for years they had a very intimate but comfortable 6 table lay.
Wheelchair accessibility: If you tell them you're in a wheelchair when you order they will wait by the door at your order pickup time. Small normal flush threshold.“

“Love the family friendly at-home feel. The food is always made quickly, they always answer the phone quickly and are very kind. I always get an egg roll included with my order. Amazing customer service here, great food, and pretty good prices. I have been going here since 2021. I always get the general tso chicken but the chicken wings are a 10/10 as well. And they use brown rice i love that“

“Was recommended to this place by a client. At first the service was rocky due to miscommunication, but upon picking up food front staff was accommodating. Ordered the general tso& lo mein, fried shrimp, fried rice & beef broccoli. The fried shrimp was burned and thrown out but everything else tasted very good.“
“This is the BEST restaurant in buffalo and my favorite. I've been eating here for 16 years since my high school days at McKinley. Even when I moved to Georgia I always come back to eat here. Theyare the ONLY Chinese restaurant that makes beef and broccoli & crab sticks the the way I like them. ???“

“As is tradition, my girl and I got some Christmas Chinese food, and this place just happened to be close. I checked the reviews, and I almost skipped this place due to the negative reviews. I wanted to give some fair feedback on both the food and our experience.
First, the service was like most Chinese food spots; food is ready in about 15 minutes. They told me as much, but it only took a little under 10. The woman was very nice and courteous. I have nothing bad to say except..
The price. Most things were a dollar or two more expensive than the menu, and as some other reviews have mentioned, they do skimp a little bit on the protein portions. I understand that everything is expensive now, but I spent $65. On this one issue, I think they could do better.
So how is the food? It's about as good as any other local Chinese place. That's not to disparage them. It's what I expect when I go to these restaurants. I wasn't let down. In fact, I could tell that everything was cooked fresh except the wonton soup. That may have been on the heater a while as the wontons fell apart.
In addition to the Wonton Soup, we ordered General Tso, Beef Lo Mein, Sweet & Sour Pork, and Boneless Spare Ribs. Here's my thoughts on each of them.
-General Tso: It wasn't very crispy, but unlike a lot of places, they do serve it on a bed of broccoli, and the broccoli was perfect. I would otherwise say that this item was mid.
-Beef Lo Mein: This had some of the most tender strips of beef I've ever had in a beef lo mein. This was the real winner 10/10. My main issue was the amount of beef included.
-Boneless Spare Ribs: The strips of ribs were also tender, but I've never had it served on a bed of broccoli, and unlike the General Tso, they covered the entire bottom of the dish with broccoli which lead to far less meat than I would otherwise have gotten. It was very good, but I felt just a little bit gipped.
-Sweet and Sour Pork: These were great and didn't make the ride home. They were crispy, double fried, and delicious. I don't usually dip in sweet and sour sauce, so I have no review on it. The pork balls were good though!
-To sum it up, we had a good experience albeit costly. If I got the same quality for $10-15 less, or just a little more meat for the price paid, I would have given an additional star on all points.
Maybe my experience was different than these other people, or maybe they were expecting fine dining. This ain't that.“

“If you are looking for a famed 3 star Chinese place, this is it. You get authentic American Chinese food, and the Father and Son who own/operate the restaurant are polite and friendly.
*Quick disclaimer*
They are Cash Only and don't have indoor dinning.
All in all, a great place for cheap food on the go.
Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp into the restaurant at the entrance, but the counter is a little high for a wheelchair.“
“By far the best place not only for the prices but food is good and the people are outstanding they are very friendly you don't find this kindness much at chinese takeout I have ordered a couple times and will be a return customer Please keep doing what you do thank you“

“There are treasures within this unassuming building on the corner of Sweet Home and Sheridan. Most of the negative reviews here seem to be for the AmeriChinese classics -- order what you want -- and the glowing reviews all seem to be for the harder to find dishes. I am in the latter camp. The collagen they extract for their noodle soups make for an exquisite broth that absolutely sets up overnight in the fridge. Their lamb dishes are also wonderful, albeit perhaps impossible to order on their website. Go in with a group and try some specials. They are, indeed, special.“

“Have ordered take-out twice from this restaurant in the Big Lots/Aldi Plaza in Hamburg - and it's not your typical bad Chinese strip mall take-out. All the food was delicious, both times! The chicken in the Moo Goo was velvety and the veggies were crisp and tasty. The Won Ton Soup was flavorful with plenty of wontons. Chicken fried rice was delicious as well. Best Chinese in Buffalo's Southtowns!“

“Messed up the order so I had to go back to the restaurant, then even though I called and stated the issue they made me wait for them to recook the food they messed up. By the time I got back home, everything else was cold. And the lo-mein I went back for was lacking chicken. I just remembered why I stopped going here.“

“Very fast, very yummy Asian-American food at reasonable prices. They use Styrofoam "clamshell" containers, which I'm not a fan of (the old foldout boxes are better), but the portions are generous and they tend to be ready faster than they tell you (I only ever buy 1 or 2 dishes, they always say "5 minutes" and it's already done when I'm counting the last of minute 4). Staff are efficient and not discourteous. And the location is pretty convenient for the east side of Buffalo. Parking hasn't been an issue yet.“

“Food was actually some of the better Chinese food that I’ve had in Buffalo. I got chicken lo mein, fried chicken rice, orange chicken, and vegetable spring rolls and everything was very good. Orange chicken were large chicken chunks. Lo mein very good and the fried chicken rice was very good was yellow rice and really liked it. Service was great and right to the point. Atmosphere was horrible but this is mostly a takeout place so it’s not supposed to be the most fine decor.“

“Miss Hot Cafe is going to be your new favorite place. This is my #1 go-to whenever I have visitors in town. The service is always fast, friendly, and we have only once experienced a wait. Our favorite dishes are the Spicy Chili Lamb, Shanghai dumplings, and Spicy Beef Noodle Soup. (They have a very long menu ranging from the traditional Americanized Chinese food menu items to authentic and unrecognizable.) Highly, highly recommend! Thank you Miss Hot!“

“*They are normally 5 star* but......I've been ordering from chopstick house for some time and it's always been delicious and I've referred many people to switch to them BUT last night's, 10/20/23, was not good. Fried dumplings were over done and oily, egg roll was like and oil soaked sponge I couldn't even eat it and general tso's chicken was not spicy and overcooked as well. Only part of it that was good was the lo mein.I'll give them another chance cuz it could have just been a bad night.“

“Ordered through doordash, I ordered beef and scallops, sesame chicken and boneless spare ribs. Ribs were fantastic and flavorful. The sesame chicken is always good (could use more sesame seeds), the beef and scallops was where you lost a star. Both the beef and scallops could have been cooked a little longer. Maybe fry the scallops.“
