“It was our first time ordering here, and it won’t be our last! Since moving to the area we’ve ordered from the closest place to us, and while it was always good it was never really amazing for the price. We decided to venture just a little further tonight and I am so glad we did. Everything was hot, the portions were large enough to have leftovers, and we didn’t spend an arm and a leg. We ordered the chicken lo mein combination platter, wonton soup, kung pao shrimp, and crab rangoon. 10/10!“

“Had an early dinner there today. Without exaggeration, the best Chinese food we've ever had. The restaurant is spotless, and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. We got huge portions of VERY GOOD FOOD at a very reasonable price.
It was a 30 mile trip to the restaurant but very worth the drive..
If we could give 6 stars, we would.
We'll be back!“

“Delicious authentic Chinese food if you want to try something new. We have been meaning to stop by and were in the area not too long ago. We ordered lamb with cumin and stir fried boo choy. Both were large portions, flavorful, cooked well and delicious. We weren’t sure how the dishes came but they were literally just what was listed in the title. So we ended up sharing for a little more variety. The lamb was juicy and very flavorful. Lots of cumin and cilantro. The book choy was fresh and a nice light palette refresher when paired with the lamb. We can’t wait to come back and try more dishes.
There are a few tables for dine in. I’m sure they do a ton of take out as well.“

“My friend and I went for lunch. The waitress was wonderful, quick to take our order, and quick to get our food out. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. The entire experience was wonderful and pleasant, something that is hard to find these days. We both look forward to returning with our families.“

“A gem of a restaurant! Everything was fantastic. The won ton soup with their homemade wontons is the best. My wife had garlic chicken, very flavorful. I had Singapore Mei Fun that was great! All this with a free pot of wonderful Chinese tea and 6 orange slices. Awesome service too!“

“So far, I have ordered twice from here, very friendly, food has tasted delicious, and it's always piping hot and fresh. I appreciate that I can order ahead and ask them to have it ready at a certain time. Very accommodating, and I've even received items free of charge with my orders out of their generosity and appreciation for my business. They have definitely earned a repeat customer.“

“There's no better Chinese food take-out in Western NY. Great quality and quantity. Best prices. Always served hot and it's double packaged to keep it hot until you get home. We love the Sesame chicken and fantastic boneless spare ribs. We go once or twice a month. Food is always hot and ready before the promised wait period. Never had to wait more than 15 minutes from the time you call or order at the counter. Genuine supreme Chinese cooking.... Fast and hot!“

So I drove 10hrs from SC and when I filled out my reservations I did fill out the special occasion with the description celebrating this event. No came to acknowledge it but we seen planting of birthday wishes from the host. Atmosphere was great food was great but the hospitality 👎🏽“

“I mainly buy their shrimp egg rolls and they are very good. It's a small place so I usually order to go. They've always been very polite.
Parking: It's in a plaza so there's plenty of spaces to park in.“

“Beef and Broccoli and Shrimp Egg Roll was bomb! The lady inside was friendly and the prices are very reasonable for the high quality food! Some other local places are expensive and the food never amazes me. I will definitely be a customer of Golden Dragon from now on!! Menu is from June of 2025.“

“I have been going here since I was a child. Beef and broccoli is the only thing I order and it is always delicious. They used to be cash only but now they accept cards. Lunch is affordable at around $10 a lunch special. Highly recommend if you want good Chinese food in South Buffalo.“

“Wok & Roll in Williamsville is nothing short of a revelation — easily one of the best Hong Kong-style Cantonese restaurants in the Rochester–Buffalo area. A true hidden gem that deserves way more attention and repeat visits.
The Eggplant Casserole was an absolute highlight: the eggplant was tender and silky, absorbing all the rich, savory sauce without falling apart. Comfort food executed at a high level.
The Sizzling Beef with Black Pepper came out dramatically on a hot iron plate — aromatic, juicy, with a perfectly balanced sauce that clings to each slice of tender beef. A crowd-pleaser done right.
The Typhoon Shelter Shrimp was crispy, garlicky, and bursting with umami — a bold dish that packs both texture and flavor, especially if you're a fan of fried garlic and spice.
Equally noteworthy was the service — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It’s clear the staff takes pride in both the food and the overall experience.
In short, this place sets the standard for Cantonese dining in the region. Wok & Roll isn’t just a great Chinese restaurant — it’s the gold standard for Hong Kong-style fare in Western New York. Absolutely worth many return trips.“

“Love the family friendly at-home feel. The food is always made quickly, they always answer the phone quickly and are very kind. I always get an egg roll included with my order. Amazing customer service here, great food, and pretty good prices. I have been going here since 2021. I always get the general tso chicken but the chicken wings are a 10/10 as well. And they use brown rice i love that“

“Heavy quantity and one item should be good enough for two. However, we were not aware and were traveling. Hence, I had to throw away the extra food. Very unfortunate. It would be great if they could mention it. Food quality was ok. This was more of a quick stop in between travel, so was ok.“

Vegetarian options: Totally customizable ordering

Kid-friendliness: My son's favorite Chinese since he was 3. For right now they are only take out, possibly delivery, but for years they had a very intimate but comfortable 6 table lay.
Wheelchair accessibility: If you tell them you're in a wheelchair when you order they will wait by the door at your order pickup time. Small normal flush threshold.“

“Have ordered take-out twice from this restaurant in the Big Lots/Aldi Plaza in Hamburg - and it's not your typical bad Chinese strip mall take-out. All the food was delicious, both times! The chicken in the Moo Goo was velvety and the veggies were crisp and tasty. The Won Ton Soup was flavorful with plenty of wontons. Chicken fried rice was delicious as well. Best Chinese in Buffalo's Southtowns!“

“Food was actually some of the better Chinese food that I’ve had in Buffalo. I got chicken lo mein, fried chicken rice, orange chicken, and vegetable spring rolls and everything was very good. Orange chicken were large chicken chunks. Lo mein very good and the fried chicken rice was very good was yellow rice and really liked it. Service was great and right to the point. Atmosphere was horrible but this is mostly a takeout place so it’s not supposed to be the most fine decor.“
“Messed up the order so I had to go back to the restaurant, then even though I called and stated the issue they made me wait for them to recook the food they messed up. By the time I got back home, everything else was cold. And the lo-mein I went back for was lacking chicken. I just remembered why I stopped going here.“

“As is tradition, my girl and I got some Christmas Chinese food, and this place just happened to be close. I checked the reviews, and I almost skipped this place due to the negative reviews. I wanted to give some fair feedback on both the food and our experience.
First, the service was like most Chinese food spots; food is ready in about 15 minutes. They told me as much, but it only took a little under 10. The woman was very nice and courteous. I have nothing bad to say except..
The price. Most things were a dollar or two more expensive than the menu, and as some other reviews have mentioned, they do skimp a little bit on the protein portions. I understand that everything is expensive now, but I spent $65. On this one issue, I think they could do better.
So how is the food? It's about as good as any other local Chinese place. That's not to disparage them. It's what I expect when I go to these restaurants. I wasn't let down. In fact, I could tell that everything was cooked fresh except the wonton soup. That may have been on the heater a while as the wontons fell apart.
In addition to the Wonton Soup, we ordered General Tso, Beef Lo Mein, Sweet & Sour Pork, and Boneless Spare Ribs. Here's my thoughts on each of them.
-General Tso: It wasn't very crispy, but unlike a lot of places, they do serve it on a bed of broccoli, and the broccoli was perfect. I would otherwise say that this item was mid.
-Beef Lo Mein: This had some of the most tender strips of beef I've ever had in a beef lo mein. This was the real winner 10/10. My main issue was the amount of beef included.
-Boneless Spare Ribs: The strips of ribs were also tender, but I've never had it served on a bed of broccoli, and unlike the General Tso, they covered the entire bottom of the dish with broccoli which lead to far less meat than I would otherwise have gotten. It was very good, but I felt just a little bit gipped.
-Sweet and Sour Pork: These were great and didn't make the ride home. They were crispy, double fried, and delicious. I don't usually dip in sweet and sour sauce, so I have no review on it. The pork balls were good though!
-To sum it up, we had a good experience albeit costly. If I got the same quality for $10-15 less, or just a little more meat for the price paid, I would have given an additional star on all points.
Maybe my experience was different than these other people, or maybe they were expecting fine dining. This ain't that.“

“If you are looking for a famed 3 star Chinese place, this is it. You get authentic American Chinese food, and the Father and Son who own/operate the restaurant are polite and friendly.
*Quick disclaimer*
They are Cash Only and don't have indoor dinning.
All in all, a great place for cheap food on the go.
Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp into the restaurant at the entrance, but the counter is a little high for a wheelchair.“

“The food is great, the staff is very friendly, the lunch combos are very inexpensive, and the service is quick! My favorites are the wonton soup and the chicken and cashews. Highly recommended! There are several tables of different sizes if you want to sit and eat, but I always just get it to go. This little hidden gem is in the plaza between Tops and Supercuts. “Miss Hot Cafe is going to be your new favorite place. This is my #1 go-to whenever I have visitors in town. The service is always fast, friendly, and we have only once experienced a wait. Our favorite dishes are the Spicy Chili Lamb, Shanghai dumplings, and Spicy Beef Noodle Soup. (They have a very long menu ranging from the traditional Americanized Chinese food menu items to authentic and unrecognizable.) Highly, highly recommend! Thank you Miss Hot!“

“Chinese food is my favorite kind, so I've had a lot of different food from different restaurants. I used to order from somewhere else, but I decided to try New China recently (since living in the area). This place is GOOOOOD. I usually order crab ragoons and this place makes them very good. You can tell the oil is clean whenever they fry your foods. Wonton soup is amazing as well.Overall, this is my new favorite spot now. I've ordered from here a few times now and the delivery is quick as well, along with very fair prices. They give you a decent amount of food too, I always have leftovers the next day! I loveeee this place.“

“One of a kind, with the most amazing, freshly prepared dishes.
While the exterior might be a bit... Rustic (also rusty), I assure you GinGins is the real deal. Personally, I love all their ox tail dishes, but they also make an eggplant and udon dish that is utterly irresistible.
This place calls us back like a siren and is run by some lovely folks.
This is a one of a kind dining experience you do not want to miss.
So do not be put off by the modest facade, this is a diamond in the rough.“

“Very fast, very yummy Asian-American food at reasonable prices. They use Styrofoam "clamshell" containers, which I'm not a fan of (the old foldout boxes are better), but the portions are generous and they tend to be ready faster than they tell you (I only ever buy 1 or 2 dishes, they always say "5 minutes" and it's already done when I'm counting the last of minute 4). Staff are efficient and not discourteous. And the location is pretty convenient for the east side of Buffalo. Parking hasn't been an issue yet.“

“This place is a hidden gem. The prices can’t be beat, period. $6 pizza on Wednesdays and it’s GOOD! $6 subs on Thursday?! Where else can you find that? Drinks are MORE than reasonable all day everyday and the weekend specials are unheard of. Large and 20 for under $30. Only gripe is the manager, but he’s rarely around. The bar staff is wonderful!“
