“El Rincón Dominicano is a restaurant in Hempstead known for its delicious Dominican and Spanish food. We ordered the chicharrón which was moist and crisp. Just the way it should be cooked. I had the grilled stead. It was very flavorful and tender. My niece had the skirt steak which was out of this world. The steak melted in your mouth. My sister-ion-law had the pernil which is her favorite. The food is cooked to perfection, and we left with plenty for another meal. The staff is helpful, friendly, and attentive, providing great customer service. Parking is a bit of an issue, but we were lucky in getting a spot in the lot. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you are offered. El Rincón Dominicano is well-loved by my family. While we live in NJ, we will visit again.“

“Heads up that this store does not have this name on the outside anymore. It's known as LI VALLE but same ownership as far as we were informed.
Super Five Stars for this deli/prepared foods restaurant in a strip mall in Franklin square. We had an outstanding server but unfortunately I'm not remembering her name right now. She explained all the dishes in detail and we ordered two plates with one meat and two sides to try out. Huge portions and everything was terrific. They had a fried rice that I had never had before and it was a hit. The ribs were a tiny bit dry and I wish we had taken the stew instead, but all of our plates were completely wiped clean by the end of lunch. They had fresh to stones but they didn't have the dip that I traditionally get with it. Instead they had a very spicy salsa/ hot sauce we ended up taking home and eating with the rest of our food for the week. There was no fresh ice cream and the tres leches was good but not amazing. You can tell this is a popular place and people were streaming in and out while we were seated, especially for catering orders.“

“I was craving a Cubano. I should have asked how they make theirs. The sandwich I got was good but it wasn't a Cubano. My idea of a Cuban sandwich is Roast pork, sliced ham, swiss cheese, a pickle and mustard. Hero bread pressed flat. I hear some people use salami instead of ham. The sandwich I recieved had no pickle no cheese no mustard and was not pressed. I'll give them another try because their food looked good in the trays. If I get another Cubano, I'll ask them if they can make it my way.“

“I ordered lemon juice with oatmeal, and they sent me oatmeal with orange. In addition, the juice flavor was from a packet, the hot dogs had very little meat, and the cabbage was unseasoned. Please consider your customers because we pay for this. You need to provide better customer service. Thank you.“

“Whenever I want some delicious food, I have to stop in here!!! Their chicharrones, beans, white rice with sweet plantains with some delicious pernil and a jarrito, are amazing! The girls are really sweet too.

Leo’s Deli in Glen Cove is absolutely phenomenal. From the warm greeting at the door to the incredible hospitality, Leo and his family always make you feel welcome and cared for. On October 2, 2025, Leo graciously hosted the very first Women Veterans Only Listening Forum, and he went above and beyond in providing a phenomenal menu of our choice.
We enjoyed a full dish of pork, rice and peas, sweet plantains, jambalaya rice, and other delicious offerings — every guest raved about the food, especially the jambalaya rice and pork. Everything was flavorful, plentiful, and served with genuine heart.
But what makes Leo’s truly special is Leo himself. No matter how busy the day, he always makes sure I eat well — and eat healthy. His kindness, along with his wonderful family (including his son), shines through in everything they do.
Leo, thank you for taking the time to listen to women veterans’ issues and for leaning in, responding, and helping us rebuild — starting with the nourishment of a wholesome meal. You have my deepest gratitude for your generosity and your heart.“

“Picked up a small pernil/roast pork lunch special with yellow rice and red beans. The food was delicious. It was$13.50 for the lunch special. Only thing was they didn't have any homemade fresh garlic sauce. Other than good service, good food.“

“I ate several meals here over a 4 night stay. Breakfast is delicious and the burrito is out of this world. Dinners are great and I especially loved the seafood pasta. Nice casados as well. Had lunch everyday here and I always got the ceviche. Excellent! Guillermo is an amazing host and a great guy. Lara, his daughter was a great hostess as well. Loved this place and it made me feel at home.“

“I’ve ordered takeout from here which was amazing every time, but I finally ate in person and the service was great everyone was so nice. The food is fresh and delicious and perfect cozy food. I love that they play Latin music too inside it really completes the vibe. Love it here. 🙌🏼“

“I was doing some errands in this plaza when i randomly stumbled across this restaurant. I haven’t experienced authentic food in so long and not only was the food amazing the atmosphere was too. As well as the staff was extremely nice and I even spoke to a worker who said they’d been there for 15 years which amazed me because I’ve always lived in the area and never seen this place. I ordered the beef stew and rice and it was PACKED and DELICIOUS. it was also LESS THAN $12 and gave me enough for leftovers and a full stomach. Their empanadas were amazing as well. 10/10 would recommend“

“I had rotisserie chicken, pernil, empanadas (beef, cheeseburger, pepperoni pizza, chicken fajita), mac n cheese, white rice, yellow rice, beans and I chose green sauce. Their chicken fajita empanadas are stupid delicious. The homemade green sauce I can drink. The pernil is great on its own but eaten WITH the mac n cheese?! Pfft. Must have. Everything was great. Will definitely make a point to go back a few times before I move. Best Dominican food I've had yet.“
