“Halal Nashville Fried Chicken and Pizza is a hidden gem! I’ve been a regular customer for 1 year now, and this place has everything! From tasty pizzas, to delicious gyro wraps, all the way to crispy chicken tenders and sandwiches. Very good place to bring children as well, as the place is clean, safe and friendly. Wait time is very quick and the deals/prices are great. I recommend getting the new deserts as well, such as CHEWY cookies, cakes, milkshakes, ice cream, slushies, and smoothies! The hospitality in this place is amazing, especially the attitude! They is easy going! The staff in this place feel like family. “Tried DHC and honestly it did not disappoint! The chicken is tender, juicy and flavourful. The meal options are not too expensive either! It was so good we came again the next day. Also it is halal certified!

It's also worth trying their slushe drinks! So much better than the 7/11 stores.

Only negative is that there is not enough seating and it can get super busy. It is a 10/10 and would recommend.“

“You can read story on their wall but this is not roasted as it says since chicken skin not even crispy. It’s braised old, tough chicken (similar to Coq Au Vin) which not really my thing since kinda dry & tough.

I got noodle soup as side so it somewhat masks dryness but still not as good as juicy, tender chicken. I’m more into young, tender chicken slow roasted under low heat.

Place is tiny & more a takeout place. Prices & service good but style of cooking just not my thing.“

“I really wanted to love this place. This was my second visit, and while there are a lot of things they do well, there are still some areas that need improvement.

Food:
As a Korean, I thought the chicken itself was really good. It was crispy, and I liked that they offer so many sauce options. My favorites were the Sweet & Sour and Spicy Garlic. The Smoky K-BBQ, it was meh- it wasn’t sweet, spicy, or smoky enough and tasted pretty bland. The SOS Spicy was extremely spicy (Buldak-level), so keep that in mind if you’re sensitive to heat.

I’ve tried a lot of Korean fried chicken spots in NJ, and I’d honestly rank this as one of the better ones. My biggest complaint is the sauce application. The chicken wasn’t coated evenly, with a lot of bare spots, and they weren’t very generous with the sauce, so there wasn’t enough to coat the pieces that were left plain.

The Blooming Onion was tasty but a little too greasy.The dipping sauce was also meh. The Korean Corn Ribs were good, but the portion felt small for the price.

Service:
This has been the biggest issue on both of my visits. They gave me an estimated pickup time, and I arrived after that, but my order still wasn’t ready. I ended up waiting another 5+ minutes even though I was the only customer there.

I know it’s World Cup season and everyone wants to watch the games, but the cooks were watching soccer while cooking instead of focusing on the orders. It gave the impression that the kitchen wasn’t paying full attention.

Overall, this is a good spot with some really solid food, but it has plenty of room for improvement. I hope the manager sees this review because with a little more attention to consistency and service, this place could easily become one of the best Korean fried chicken spots in the area.“

“I spoke with the owner after an issue he was very professional, and this is my follow up.

He suggested the chicken tenders and it was very fresh, I also saw a couple order the fish and it was fried to order —it looked so good. Honestly I’m very grateful the owner was able to make it right. Will be coming back again!

The sauces are also really good, and they have my favorite bbq sauce on hand, try their special sauce!“

“I am on a low grain and sugar diet, so I order their chicken only in large size. Can pick 2 kinds of chicken - I ordered roasted and poached. Also comes with some cilantro & cucumber, 2 kinds of sauces, and dark soy sauce.
Both types of the chicken are delicious! And large is a lot of chicken! I usually make a salad and top it with chicken and use the sauces as dressing. One dress is lime, and other is more herbal, both are the most delicious Thai style sauce you can find in NYC! Highly recommend!“

Ding ding fried noodles were quite authentic, just a bit salty. Lamb pilaf wasn’t greasy, which I liked. Lamb skewers were tender and not gamey.

Service was okay but a bit inexperienced — had to remind for water.

“I got chicken over rice for $12 hands down best deal I’ve had in all of NYC as a foodie. It was my first time experiencing halal food so I asked bunch of questions to the guys at the line and they were very chill; they described all the toppings that I pointed to and gave me a GENEROUS PORTION. Chicken was well seasoned and tender, rice was also seasoned and chickpeas and hummus were decently fresh; everything tasted good even on the next day. This fed me for easily two days! It was truly amazing that I can get chicken,rice,fries(shocking for me) and veggie of choice for only $12 was so impressive. I’m definitely going back.“

“I used to get chicken from the a flushing location, but this one is more convenient for me. I love that it’s not just chicken burgers. I can’t eat carbs anymore, but sometimes I’m craving fried chicken. I love their fried chicken wings and drumettes. It’s so flavorful. They definitely use a bit of curry powder for seasoning. I get the mild. Their spicy can get very spicy for me. Next time I will try the roast wings or whole chicken. It’s well seasoned, chicken is crunchy, and the value for the money I paid is great! This is not really a sit down place. You can but it’s fairly no frills. Best for takeout and delivery. It’s a mom and pop shop so happy to help out. The manager had amazing energy and was a huge Spurs fan, even though they ended up losing that night 😂.

“I’m literally writing this while I’m still sitting here because these guys deserve a shout-out. I’ve been to a bunch of Dave’s Hot Chicken spots, and this is easily the best one.

I was having a nightmare with the app, and Mohammed took the lead helping me figure the whole thing out. He was patient, never rushed me, and made sure everything was taken care of. Ahnaf was very helpful too, and both of them were friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure I had a great experience.

The whole staff has been awesome. If you’re trying to decide which Dave’s Hot Chicken to go to, make it the 188th Street location in Queens. I’ll definitely be back.“

“I made a quick stop due to having time in between clients. The decorations are lovely and showcases the culture and esthetics of Brooklyn. The service was fast ( i went at 11am). The servers/waiters are nice. The food presentation kinda ruined it for me. The chicken was over fried. It looks reheated. The waffle presentation was plain and boring. There could be been a berry or two on the side. I was given a can of ginger ale. The ginger ale could have been more fancier (lol it's just ny opinion).

“TLDR: Great Korean fried chicken shop in Greenpoint. Spicy crispy wings and definitely try a Korean corn dog.

I was curious to try a few spots in Greenpoint and this was one of them. The chicken is fried fresh so you do need to wait a bit but who doesn't want their chicken made to order?

I'm not a corn dog person at all but I did try the half/half with the potato coating. It was still hot from the fry and the cheese pull on the mozzarella half was very impressive. The beef hot dog half was also good as well. It's finished with powder sugar (as it's mean to be) and it all works pretty well together. Grabbed one for the wife and she was very happy with it.

I ordered the crispy spicy wings and these were very enjoyable. There are not many Korean chicken shops that do this style. I prefer mine sauceless and the battery has a nice kick to it. The skin is crunchy and the chicken is juicy and VERY HOT.

Brought some wings back home and air-fried them the next day, still very delicious. Definitely would check out again if I'm in the area.“
