“Delicious and freshly made bagels! I am doing a bagel showdown vs Bagel Boss very soon.Today I got a cinnamon raisin bagel with butter and a plain bagel. The cinnamon raisin bagel was cooked very nice. It wasn't warm anymore since I arrived late in the afternoon, but the dough was still soft and moist. The quantity of raisins was perfect and they were plump and juicy. I liked the overall flavor and texture of it too. I haven't tried the plain bagel yet, but I think it will be good too.Price is great. Just under $4 for 1 bagel with butter and 1 plain bagel. I think it's just over $1 per bagel with bigger discounts the more you buy including the usual bakers dozen deal of 1 free per 12 purchased.Definitely use cash only. All credit cards and debit cards will cost you a huge 4% transaction fee which is very understandable since this is a mom and pop local store and not a chain restaurant. The inside space is small but nice and cozy and clean. Very busy when I came here today, but I got helped quickly and all employees were super friendly and fast.Tons of free parking in the back lot and a few spots available on street parallel to the entrance. But I recommend using the back parking lot instead because the on street parking is on the extremely busy and dangerous Teaneck Rd where you will find lots of speeders and lots of idiot drivers trying to cut each other off with barely enough space. Also, the road itself constantly changes between 2 lanes and 1 lane so the locals who know this will speed up and race to cut in front of other cars to get into the laneMy #1 favorite bagel of all time is from Cresskill Hot Bagels. But this was a close second! Check my reviews again soon to see how I feel Bagel Boss compares to Teaneck Hot Bagels!“
“Since moving to the area, Nana's is one place that is consistently fantastic and everyone I bring here raves about it. Simple, yes, but freshly made, flavorful, and healthy isn't always easy to find when you're trying to grab a quick bite.I think the way the menu is laid out is a bit confusing if you've never been. Once you understand how to navigate that, it's smooth sailing. My regular order is the Mu'shwarma, pita or platter depending on how I feel that day. I am pescatarian and love that they don't use artificial fake meat, but this dish is just really well flavored mushrooms. Their platters are great because you can choose so many sides, and they REALLY stuff their pitas, so I think either one works, depending on what mood I'm in. If you get the platter, you can choose pita or pita chips on the side. Their pita chips are fresh and the best I've ever tasted. I'm not usually a drink gal, but I love their Limonana so I do order it quite frequently. Very refreshing and made with all fresh ingredients. Not overly sugary or anything. I've tried a bunch of their salads/salatim and they are all amazing, but the Babaganoush is a MUST. I'm not always a fan of the dish because of the texture but theirs is the best I've ever had. So flavorful and fantastic. Any of the spicy salads (spicy tomato) are actually quite spicy, so be aware. There isn't so much of an ambiance here as there's 1-2 tight tables and it's definitely more of a to go place, although I have dined in and eaten outside when weather permits. There is no table service. The prices are definitely on the higher side, but I can often stretch one of their meals to 2 and the ingredients are so fresh and so delicious, so it is worth the price. Don't expect any $7 street cart pitas here though! I've taken my parents and several friends and everyone that has been has only raved about how fresh and delicious it is, so it's a must go to and a neighborhood staple for me.“
“Where do I begin? Let's see the food is excellent served fresh and warm and they keep it that way until you arrive. The atmosphere is very calm or shall I say Zenful there is a true sense of calm . The staff there is awesome so friendly , always a smile and willing to help you decide what you might want to try . I finally tried the breakfast sandwich, I was stuck on the chicken sandwich. Oh boy everything is good .“
“Whether you're looking for a selection of old-school Jewish appetizers, like pickled herring, the lox and cream and onion sauce, or prepared kosher entrées, this establishment will do the trick! Even better it's glat kosher and Shomer Shabbos! They're kosher for Passover Pizza is a real annual treat. And if I'm not mistaken, their fried chicken which they make fresh every Tuesday, it's absolutely fabulous.“
“Stopped in here to look at the menu, but ended up getting the sampler and the Yakitori burnt ends which were amazing! There's a great selection of food, which we can't wait to try out, will definitely come back again hungry! Owner is awesome and atmosphere is so homey.“
“I have never tasted vegan cuisine this delicious. The restaurant offers dishes from Singapore, Japanese cuisine, Jamaican home made beef patties and Chinese cuisine. The baked goods are heavenly. The restaurant is named correctly. There are to many words in the English language to describe how delicious the food is at Veggie Heaven. The price was good for the 3 of us dinning. Everything is completely vegan. For all of you meat eaters this place will delight your palette. I will make it a habit to treat myself at least once or twice a month to dine here. Thank you for the service, food and atmosphere Veggie Heaven staff. I forgot to mention that we had driven over 4 hours to eat at your restaurant. The long drive was definitely worth it. I can't thank you enough for serving my family and I terrific food.Dietary restrictions: I am allergic to Cilantro and the restaurant provided safe meals for me.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is located on the ground floor.“
“A great selection at a good price. The customer service is excellent, very friendly and great at helping you find what you need or give recommendations of something new to try. I have been able to rely on this place for a good selection at different price points. From reds to whites and whisky to vodka, they had a great selection with exactly what I needed at a bargain price.“
“The best eggplant parm I’ve ever had. Ugh it’s so good I’m obsessed with it. If I was dieing and got to pick my last meal it would be Prime Times eggplant parm!!I haven’t tried anything else there because I need the eggplant Parm hahaThe people in there are so nice too!“
“Food? Fantastic! Great pizza, side and salads.Service? Superb! Food was hot and ready for 20 peeps within minutes.Atmosphere? Amazing! The music choices were on point! We came to celebrate a marriage after the fact...the guy in charge overheard and started playing "death of a bachelor" ? perfect“
“Love Effy’s! The lattes are divine - a secret gem and perfect way to start the meal. We got the Middle Eastern breakfast and the labneh and beets were so fresh and delicious. We also go the Italian Omelette which came with a decadent side salad! The service was fantastic and attentive. We took a smoothie to go which was the perfect dessert. Highly recommend!“
“I mourned Ben's on Queens Boulevard in Rego Park when it closed a few years ago. I hadn't been to Leibman's in decades. That's changing! Walking into the aromas and quality I enjoyed at Ben's, seeing a busy dining room and very active take out area were signs that the place is worth the trip there. Portions are very generous. I brought plenty home. Service is cordial and efficient. Those serving us were really hopping! Requests for extra pickles, the heads up that coffee was served with oat milk, since this is a Kosher deli, and and frequent checks to see if we wanted anything else despite a very busy afternoon were good signs. ( We tipped accordingly!) Guaranteed, I will be back! I wish the place were bigger. Also, the Restrooms were clean and well kept.Vegetarian options: For vegetarians, there are some nice choices. Two friends chose tge falafel platters and had plenty.“
“One of my favorite restaurants! I am in love with the respect and care shown to the farm-to-table ingredients. Props to whoever plans the menu, sources the ingredients, and writes the recipes. Homemade southern biscuit is excellent! And where else have you seen a kosher restaurant that offers soft scrambled eggs? (If you know of somewhere please tell me, I want to try those too :)My compliments to the chef who pulls it off. Amazing!Another restaurant on the list of “keep coming back to try everything on the menu”“
“Went for a catered party. Steak was good, hummus was amazing, place was crowded and noisy, drinks were definitely not great, waitstaff was super nice and helpful. The person serving the drinks was lovely even though the wine was so so and the tonic water was flat.Vegetarian options: Very few.“
“Have not eaten in... Just take out. But the food is delicious! Recently got a couple of platters. Packaged really well in sectioned trays, keeping the cool (salad stuff) away from the hot chicken and falafel. In the past I have also ordered shawarma and schnitzel by the pound for a party and was very happy.“
“We were looking for good deli in Bergen county and came on the recommendation of a friend. No regrets! Food was delicious. The pastrami is good but the tongue is probably the best I've ever had. Plus good pickles, fresh coffee, took some herring and smoked sable (which you never see these days). Whatever you can think of! Will def be back, 100%“
“Went there for years when I lived in the neighborhood many times a week. My favorite pizza in all of NY. They need to be talked about for how amazing their pizza is. The owner and staff are all great guys! I visit every time I'm back downstate.Parking: Side lot and street parking“
“This is a small deli, one of the few remaining in the NY/NJ metropolitan area. They offer a full range of deli delights, most of which are made on premises. It's really only a take-out place, as there is only bar seating with stools. The food was excellent and the owners were friendly and talkative. If you're in the area, go there. You won't be disappointed.“
“We enjoyed the meal very much and the service was warm and responsive. The ambiance could be enhanced by a style makeover but this factor was not enough to spoil our enjoyment of the evening. Overall 4 stars. Recommended. We will eat there again for sure.“
“I thought the food here was very very good as was the service. They accommodated for gluten free, they had just the right almond milk. Device was friendly and the food (breakfast) was excellent. I must add that we did have reservations which I HIGHLY recommend.“
“HAD AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE AT HUMMUS ELITE IN HONOR OF MY BESTIES BDAY. DELICIOUS FOOD (sandwich with schnitzel and cabbage), AWESOME VIBES AND SHOUTOUT TO BEST WAITERS: JUSTIN AND LEWIS!! THEY ENSURED OUR CONFORTABILITY AND SATISFACTION. I WILL DEFINETLY BE COMING BACK AGAIN WITH MY GIRLFRIENDS!“
“The sushi here is a work of art - every piece is fresh, expertly crafted, and bursting with flavor. Whether you’re a sushi connoisseur or a newbie, there’s something for everyone. The Rock and Roll Signature Roll is a must-try; the combination of flavors and textures was simply mind-blowing.“
“Had a business meeting here with some colleagues, service was excellent, food was excellent, however if I could make one comment about the loud noise thumping over the elegant house music, I’d recommend in a fine dining restaurant to keep the outside noise down and the ambiance would match the food and service.“
“Read about this place, wanted to try it, and today we were in town for a wedding and needed lunch. Ta-DAAAH! I had in my mind a superior dining experience in Israel, a similar schnitzel-in-pita storefront in Hod HaSharon. There, because it's Israel, every aspect was superior: fresh, crispy, assortment of salads, and super fast. I was hoping for something similar here.Orange and chrome mid-century modern decor. Simple menu. Good service. Clean. Super impressed at first glance. I got schnitzel in pita, spouse got same in laffa bread, daughter got schawarma in laffa. All delicious and fresh. Service was friendly. It took a few minutes to get our order and they were not particularly busy, luckily we were not in a rush. Once the food came, it was worth the short wait!Bottom line: it's not Hod HaSharon, but pretty darn good for Teaneck!Would definitely return here! The only negative is that parking seems to be an issue. We visited this restaurant at 12 noon on a Sunday and it was impossible to park. I don't know where the people in all these cars were shopping, I sure didn't see a high amount of foot traffic. I have a feeling people just parked and left their cars, maybe attending an event elsewhere. So if you visit: plan time to park and walk!“
“Sammy's Bagels offers a delightful experience with their delicious spicy tuna bagel. Despite the small size of the location, the inviting aroma upon entry adds to the overall charm. The seating, though limited, provides a cozy atmosphere to savor their flavorful creations. A must-try for tuna enthusiasts!“
“Hey I mean, been there 2 times so far. Very reasonably priced. Got the lomein and crispy chicken; delicious! Also springrolls were super good. Also got the udon noodles and orange chicken another time, also amazing. Again, reasonably priced. Went with 5 people and it came out to $200.“
“The fish is always fresh and delicious, and hand rolls are generous and original. Definitely the best kosher sushi place in Riverdale (not that ee have many though). The atmosphere is quite ok for a family-oriented restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: AccessibleDietary restrictions: Kosher“
“A real old fashion kosher deli. as soon as you sit down, they bring you a dish of pickles. I got a pastrami on rye with a side of french fries. Got it in a couple of seconds. We also have complete dinners, hotdogs, knishes, matzoh, ball soup. A real kosher deli, without going into the city or the Bronx. The service was good, food is great, the price is right. I will definitely be back.Sal E. New Rochelle“
