“I've been a fan of Local Post since they first opened, and they never disappoint. My most recent visit was on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon, where I enjoyed the patio and the rare treat of a weekday brunch. As someone with a nontraditional schedule, I love that they offer brunch during the week! Though I didn’t see a Bloody Mary on the menu, the bartender went above and beyond to make me one, and it was hands down one of the best I've ever had. I also ordered the brunch fries, which were spot-on. The service was outstanding—friendly, accommodating, and they really made me feel at home. The laid-back atmosphere and great vibes make Local Post a go-to spot for me.“

“How can I make you understand in depth how great this place was!. I didn't even mean to stop in this place! I was headed to get food for myself. I saw this little joint with a back porch, camping type pavilion attached to a little oblong brick building that just looked like it wasn't for me.This place...It doesn't scream or pop out at you. It looks like it would be in one of my friends yard behind his house on the side of his garage.As I walked by....and past it, I saw "great food"!! In big letters painted on the side of the building. So I tryd em!... lol to see if they knew what they were talking about!.I serve my lord Jesus and don't really drink but I came for the food! And to test its words painted on the side of the building.Every one was nice! Everything was comfortable, everyone cared!... everyone knew each other and everyone let's you be!.... I couldn't belive it! I found a place to go be and eat and they let you be....if you leave hostility, hatred, ugly ness, and a disrespectful attitude at door..... You will have no problems here! I loved the people, I fell in love with the place!, you can be who you are! I think it's encouraged and probably the only way this bar and grill will have you.As soon as I came in, there was a veteran, and two others at the bar with a classic western playing on the tv and two sweethearts behind the bar.... it was laid back and quite for a Tuesday afternoon.During happy hr domestic beer is 2:50$ and I got a great double mushroom cheese burger for 6$The lighting was perfect! ....For a bar/grill. Right lighting with lamp and neon lights scattered throughout the restaurant and bar! The lights mixed well with the atmosphere splashing and filling up color, mood, and lighting over all the creveses, nooks, and crannys of the spaces in the restaurant bar and grill. If you want a bar and grill out of the movies... Here it is! I loved the assortment of signs, billboards, slogans and pic's all over the walls....Well I tell you the food was off the chain!. The hospitality on point and the price is right. it does not hit your pocket at all. The food says to the money! Get out of here.....I always am looking for a place to eat drink and socialize in peace, and in prosperity. to be myself at the end of the day!!!!....Besides Christ my lord and savior I Just want good food, at a great price! When I go out to eat!. I got more than that at jds honky tonk and emporium! It checked off every thing I quit looking for on my list now a days!!!...I'm always left wanting visiting a place. as i leave my mind is trying to point out the good pointers in a restaurant and bar and grill..... Well I just plane ol loved jds honky tonk & emporium.words fail but if you go! They'll accept you,you can be you, friendly, and you best belive you can get a great bite to eat! And drink.Seriously how can I tell you this food is worth trying and the place worth visiting! Weather you are rich and can't fathom going here, or poor and you think this place ant for you! every one in between..... I wouldnt mess with the bartenders cause they can handle their own business but don't think they don't have a plethora of regulars that will have their back, cause they're just that good and hospitable to their customers. Walk in and you feel like a regular. Love it and will be back again and referring to friends to watch the game at.

“I was not sure at first about this restaurant as I was placed on hold for several minutes but when I arrived I saw why. The bartender was very busy taking orders and answering phone. She apologized for the wait and promptly took our order. The food was excellent !! Fish chicken combo, potato and onions and greens( spicy) Kudos to this establishment and best of luck!!! “The bartender are not friendly to new customers. They only serve people who are regularly in there. The bartenders give off old bitter hater vibes. If you’re nice looking woman I don’t recommend you go there cuz you will not be served a drink. Also, if you are not from that area the people are rude and weird towards you. Do not recommend this place because the energy is off.“

“We gathered here for my good friend's retirement party.My husband and I had never been, so we didn't know what to expect. We arrived early to be sure of a parking spot.When we entered under the green awning we were in the main bar area. Thinking there might be a reserved room in the back, we walked to the left of the bar into another part of the establishment. What a pleasant surprise to see another bar and a much larger room. This area contains tall tables and stools, a stage and a pool table. That's where we gathered.The atmosphere was perfect for a group of friends to casually gather for a retirement celebration.The menu was limited for Lenten Friday diners, but the food we ordered was delicious. Crinkle Fries were crisp on the outside, hot and tender on the inside. They were served in a good size basket with a side dish of ketchup. Mozzarella sticks came 5-6 per serving with a dipping dish of marinara. They were so good that we could have easily eaten 6 more. The pretzel bites are "incredible". Hot and tender with a melted butter flavor that teases your mouth to crave more. My favorite was the cheese quesadilla. Thinking we would have to settle for boring tortillas with melted cheese between the layers (and no meat), I was not expecting what we were served. The tortillas were crisp AND tender, filled with a combination of cheese, peppers, onions and mushrooms, making it a taste-bud treat. This was rounded out with a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.Be aware that the kitchen does not officially open until 5 PM.Our server (I can't remember her name) was just back from maternity leave and never missed a beat. She kept up with orders and tabs, always with a smile on her face.I would highly recommend this place for any gathering of friends, family, neighbors, co-workers...or a night out with your special someone.

Parking: Public parking is on the opposite side of Montgomery Rd, behind the shops. When we arrived at 3:40 PM there were plenty of parking spaces available, but we have been there later in the evening on a weekend when it took some driving around to get a spot. It is a free lot. But be aware that some of the lots directly behind the businesses are reserved for their clients only during business hours.“

“I think the new ownership is doing a great job. It's difficult to run a full kitchen, fully stocked bar and entertainment venue. The government oversight for permits, license compliance and logistics is a daunting task for any operation but especially a tavern.“

“Been going here for a long time, now; mostly carry-out. Real good food; gyros have generous amounts of meat in them. Service is good, and atmosphere is really great especially if you are into sports. However, food prices seem to have spike recently which is why I only gave it 4 stars. Overall, still a great place with a widely varied menu.“
