“This ranks in the top tier of pizzas I have had, and I feel like the only think keeping me from giving it a 5 (I wish I could do 4.9) is the hot honey. I ordered the angry beekeepers w/extra hot honey, and the hot honey is too subtle to taste. I really wanted that sweet heat to come through, but it was invisible to the taste even ordering extra. That being said, the fresh Mozz, salami, and basil with the wood fire crust made for a sublime pizza experience. We're over the road, and we hunt for indie pizza shops, and this easily falls in the top 5 (not counting Chicago style pizzas in the ranking. That's a pizza to itself). The server at carry out was very pleasant, and checked the pizza before giving it to me, and that was a nice extra touch. Overall, Old Scratch is no joke. Experts in the pizza game. Among a highly competitive market, they stand above most. I can't wait to eat here again.“

Edit 02/06/2026: this experience was not as good. Amazing environment, and thee water was great. The pizza itself was not what I remembered it to be. Very dry. The sauce came straight out of a can, and I could tell. Metallic taste, maybe less toppings. Unsure what changed exactly but it's been a year.“

“You can tell a lot about a place by how they treat people right before closing, and Papa’s Pizza Palace absolutely passed that test for us. We showed up about 10 minutes before they closed and honestly almost turned around because we didn’t want to be those last-minute customers keeping everyone there late. We felt bad even walking in that close to closing time, but the blonde girl working up front immediately made us feel welcome. She was incredibly friendly, patient, and had such a positive attitude the entire time. Not once did she seem annoyed or rushed, which honestly surprised us because a lot of places would have made us feel like a burden for coming in so late. She took our order with a smile, answered a couple questions we had, and genuinely acted happy to help us. That kind of customer service is getting harder and harder to find these days, especially late at night when employees are probably exhausted and ready to go home. It really stood out to us and completely changed what could have been an awkward experience into a really positive one. The owners should be proud to have someone like her working there because she represented the business so well and made such a great impression on us. And the pizza itself was amazing. Fresh, hot, loaded with toppings, and honestly some of the best pizza we’ve had in a long time. You could tell they still cared about the quality even right before closing. We actually drove about 30 minutes to try this place after winning a gift certificate, and after this experience, we’d gladly make that drive again even without one. Between the great food and the genuinely kind customer service, Papa’s Pizza Palace definitely earned repeat customers out of us. Places that still treat people this well deserve recognition, and we’ll absolutely be back.“

“Ordered a mushroom steak and pretzel sticks, im definitely outside of there delivery area. Place my order and they were quite busy so I told them no rush I do know I’m outside your area . Was expecting hour or maybe two wait . Not 30 minutes later my food is here and it’s so hot I can hardly eat it . ( I love my food super hot right out of the oven ) those pretzel sticks are life changing . Great place to eat . Do not skip out on the pizza either it’s our family favorite“

I've never left a review here, just never thought to, but when they give you a free small because of a slightly mess up pizza (toppings slid on edge piece on transfer to box) still delicious, I have to. Still find myself craving it 35 years later. Keep up the great work.“

“Hubby & I just had lunch here a bit ago. We've never eaten here before. We shared a steak hoagie with onions, mushrooms, pickles and cheese. We got the parmesan bites and an order of fries. Absolutely delicious food! We had water to drink so our bill was only $21. Delicious food at a reasonable price! I highly recommend Richards“

“Love the newly remodeled Verity Pkwy location. It looks much more inviting and clean inside. The bathroom was clean as well. The food was delish! I love the Vic's Big Cheese with green olives. It is the best! The staff was super nice and helpful, which made our visit more pleasant. I do also like the new drive thru. It is so convenient.

“Rapid Fires Pizza on Miamisburg Centerville Rd. is a must-try for any pizza lover! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and they were happy to answer all of my questions about the menu. I opted for the Hog Heaven pizza, and it was absolutely amazing. It was like a meat lover’s pizza on steroids, loaded with all of my favorite toppings. “We got Jet's a few days ago, but it was on my mind to write a review. First off, we have been waiting for deep anticipation that one day our town would get a Jet's Pizza. When I told my wife the news, it was like she won the lottery. Would it be too good to be true? Would this place be all that we ever dreamed it could be? To tell you the truth, the experience exceeded our expectations. The online ordering process was easy. We ordered as we were in the parking lot of Walmart next door, so I arrived early. When I entered the door, the staff were in a great mood. I was greated instantly by a gentleman wearing a smile. Even though I was early, and wasn't trying to rush anyone, I only waited less than five minutes. The young lady at the counter was very friendly. As I verified the toppings, I noticed how perfect the pizza was, I told her it was nice to finally have a location close to home. Overall, we are very grateful for the amazing pizza and an amazing staff.“

“We had read about LaRosa's pizza with sweet Cincinnati style sauce and want to try. We all enjoyed the pizza with choices for sauce, dough and many sizes. The restaurant was almost empty on a Tuesday evening so we had not wait and service was great.“

“I've ordered several times from Jet's. The pizza is pretty good. Not great, but good. They did put on extra sauce, but not really that much extra. Sauce is bland. Toppings were fine. Crust was completely cooked but a little chewy. I got the hand-tossed crust; the thick crust is better, but it is a lot of bread.

The trouble is the long time for delivery. Admittedly, the website said, 75-80 minutes; I just didn't notice. It took 70, so you can say they did better; but that's just a long time for delivery. The store is 1.5 miles away. Driver was apologetic, I tipped him; I didn't believe it was his fault; he said he's the *only* driver. To be honest, Brew & Brews, which is very close by, is better pizza, but can be uneven on delivery too. Napoli's makes a good pie, but it wasn't open tonight! “I was going to give them one star.Because the driver set my food down on the wet ground in the rain directly outside my door so I couldn't even open my door. i'm in a wheelchair and could not get my food outside of my door. I had to call someone to get it for me. I was obviously pretty upset and called the store. I was able to speak to the gm, Ryan to express my concerns about the delivery and how the driver just left my food. I was going to tip the driver cash but he didn't get a tip because of how he left the food on the ground and just left quickly. I paid with a credit card and I don't know if he thought he was not going to get a tip because of it , but he really screwed himself out of a cash tip. After speaking to ryan , I did not ask for a credit or for anything at all. However, he offered me a credit on my account for my next order.Which I appreciate greatly. While the delivery was not very good , I am very satisfied with the way ryan handled the situation. I never have a complaint about the quality of food from the location. The way Ryan handled my call and complaint gives them four stars instead of the one star that I was going to leave. I appreciate you Ryan.“
