“Originally from Buffalo NY, found it very difficult to find a pizza that even comes close to what I was used to. I've tried many pizzas across the Miami Valley and all I can say is that most were pretty bad, and a few ok but not much more. 2 places were halfway decent but those places went downhill. I finally tried Joe's Pizza last month and have to say, the Absolute Best in Miami Valley. It was the closest to Buffalo Style Pizza I ever had in Southwest Ohio. Told their Staff the same. I will definitely be going back there despite being a little drive from where I live. I would recommend Joe's Pizza to everyone, especially if you're looking for a quality pizza!!“

“Ok so we’ve dined at Old Scratch Troy location about 6 times since it’s opened. Waited a bit to give them time to really get in their groove. While I do recommend the place. Pizza is good, staff is nice (especially Amanda at the bar) and shareables are tasty. That said I would like to see the food’s taste be a little more consistent. My favorite dish is the fire roasted cauliflower but sadly it hasn’t been prepared the same way twice with the last two times it was barely seasoned at all once it was almost raw. Hopefully as training continues they will fix that issue.“

“Found this little gem on the internet. The food was absolutely fantastic. We all enjoyed the food. My friend tried lamb for the first time. She was in heaven. The server was great. My only complaints were the lamb was overcooked, but still juicy, and the kids running all over the place (and the boy that was hitting his brother with a belt, not hard, but still annoying).“

“Went here for a relaxed, Wedding rehearsal dinner. They were very accommodating of our party. We had about 15 adults and three children and the prices were great. Big shout out to general manager, Jo, who was masterfully, crafting cocktails at the bar with great attention to detail. The kids love the free ice cream.“

“You can tell a lot about a place by how they treat people right before closing, and Papa’s Pizza Palace absolutely passed that test for us. We showed up about 10 minutes before they closed and honestly almost turned around because we didn’t want to be those last-minute customers keeping everyone there late. We felt bad even walking in that close to closing time, but the blonde girl working up front immediately made us feel welcome. She was incredibly friendly, patient, and had such a positive attitude the entire time. Not once did she seem annoyed or rushed, which honestly surprised us because a lot of places would have made us feel like a burden for coming in so late. She took our order with a smile, answered a couple questions we had, and genuinely acted happy to help us. That kind of customer service is getting harder and harder to find these days, especially late at night when employees are probably exhausted and ready to go home. It really stood out to us and completely changed what could have been an awkward experience into a really positive one. The owners should be proud to have someone like her working there because she represented the business so well and made such a great impression on us. And the pizza itself was amazing. Fresh, hot, loaded with toppings, and honestly some of the best pizza we’ve had in a long time. You could tell they still cared about the quality even right before closing. We actually drove about 30 minutes to try this place after winning a gift certificate, and after this experience, we’d gladly make that drive again even without one. Between the great food and the genuinely kind customer service, Papa’s Pizza Palace definitely earned repeat customers out of us. Places that still treat people this well deserve recognition, and we’ll absolutely be back.“

“We had not been at OE for over a year. Only 9 people in the bar on a Friday night at 7:00pm….no band. Good service, as always. A large Chicken Ranchero pizza was $22.00, and it was only so-so. I don’t know what is happening in the Oregon District.“

“Love this place! Food is great and the service is even better. Our pizza was caught in the oven making a few slices damaged, the manager brought out the pizza so we didn’t have to wait longer to eat but also made a smaller pizza to compensate for the damage. The service is top level here!“

“Ok, first off I absolutely love this pizza. Dayton style is rather unique, very thin, almost cracker like crust. Cut into very small squares, just love it.
The sausage they use in the pizza is just incredibly flavorful and makes me want to come back.

My one complaint with this place, and I register it every time I eat here is having to pay for my pizza, then go get in another line and pay for my drink. I assume because they sell alcohol they can’t let the youngsters run that counter.

Seriously Marion’s, move into the 1970’s. This is just ridiculous in 2026.

I would honestly double my visits if it wasn’t for that stupid setup.

“I live in Chicago now but still make it a point to stop at Marion's anytime I am in Centerville. Will always be a favorite. Bonus for it still having the same feeling inside as when I was growing up -- that decor is nostalgic/sentimental and just feels like an old-time hometown pizza place...I love it!“

“I've always liked Papa Johns pizza but there's never been one close enough to deliver or one that I really wanted to take the time to drive to. But since they've opened one on Gettysburg. I've been to this establishment several times. Pizza is always fresh whether I order in the evening or late at night. The employees I've interacted with are always polite and chill whether its a simple greeting or if I need help fixing an issue. The manager Kristen is very polite had an issue with something missing in my order and she took the time to listen and help resolve it.“

“Red Bird’s pizza is unique, somewhat of a cross between a brick oven pizza and a NY pizza. The sauce bursts with flavor, and the crust is airy and elastic with a hint of fire that adds to the overall experience. I highly recommend Red Bird - you won’t regret it!

You order at the counter, and the pizza is brought to you. You have choices of bottled drinks, and they have glass jugs of water you can help yourself to as well.“

“I’ve always enjoyed this restaurant but I noticed something last night that disturbed me. I asked the waitress if they had a smaller serving of their Peasant salad. She said sure and brought a very small serving which was just what I ordered. When I got the bill the charge was $9 which is the regular full size price. Same thing happened with our dining partner. This has happened before. I hope the owner reads this. It’s a little deceptive.“

Also offers gummi bears, chocolates, dinner salads and sandwiches. Dine-in in their expansive multisection dining room and look through the dozens of celebrity diner pictures from the '60s through '90s. Take out available.“

“Had a great experience at Mikey’s Late Night Slice! The pizza was fantastic, and I loved all the different sauce options to customize each slice. “Visited DK Effect for the first time and then walked over to try Gionino’s for the first time. The pizza wad better than anything else I’ve had in Dayton. So much so that I left a review and I don’t do that like ever. Crust was perfect. Sauce ratio was ecstatic. Pepperoni was absolutely perfect. A personal pizza too! Def earned a lifelong fan now.

“I ordered Popcorn Chicken however it wasn't until I got home it was replaced with a small amount of grilled chicken...nobody told me they ran out of Popcorn Chicken otherwise I wouldn't of ordered. I did call store and was offered a $5 credit on next order however the meal cost more than that and I rarely eat pizza 🤷 so I would of preferred a refund or replacement. Pizza was ok but most got thrown in trash so waste of money. Brownies were a bit hard but if warmed up they were ok.“

“The best pizza in the area, and cheaper than some of its competitors. We had not tried Godfather's until they opened on Clyo, and have ordered multiple times since then. We can never get enough. The staff inside are always friendly, and the interior is cleaner than most.

We would order a lot more if they had specials or rewards discounts, but we still try to frequent once/month or so.“
