“Today was my first visit to Izzy's and it definitely will not be the last. They get you from the moment you open the door. The smell and the warm welcome. That was enough to make me want to come back. But then I got the Ruben. I feel like I need to share this to help explain how great this ruben was, I am going through chemo treatments right now, and one of the side effects is a very sensitive mouth, like no hot (temperature) no spicy food, no acidic foods. So as you could imagine, that Ruben tore my mouth up. But it was so worth it. It hit the spot. I'd order another one tomorrow if I wasn't 2 hours away. We'll be back. “I don't get Penn Station like I used to. Older and can't handle the calories as often as I'd like. But when I want a Reuben, I go straight to Forest Park Penn Station. Haven't been disappointed yet. I get extra meat, extra cheese on the multigrain roll. Scrumptious! That multigrain roll is what you need. I usually pick up at the window. I have eaten inside. The place is clean and the people were friendly and professional. And the bathroom was clean! Service at the window was just as inside. I don't have a complaint about the price cause everything everywhere is high. My only complaint is why have restaurants stopped cutting sandwiches? If you're driving or just not going home, you have to hold the whole thing to take a bite. Please cut the sandwiches/hoagies.👍🏾“

Izzy's service was amazing, drinks, sides, beef bourginon were great but compared to other top steak houses we were let down. The ribeye was not as thick as expected and not the quality of beef as expected. No steaks were offered with bone in.“

“I don't generally give reviews of places, but this is a must!! We went in for the advertised gluten free bread, we ordered and my husband requested that the first person change their gloves to eliminate cross contamination, that's when I realized that this was a mine field and started looking for all the requests we would need to make to keep him from getting contaminated. I didn't even have to ask!! They brought the sub out wrapped up, changed gloves, wiped the counter, got a new knife, put the sub on a wrap to transport it down the line, and placed the knife on the wrap as well, second person changed gloves, when he asked for mayo asked if packets were ok since the spreader and mayo were not safe. I want to cry, I am so happy with the care they took, the sensitivities to the hazard that he faces was phenomenal!!!“

Although I’ve never a manager threaten to cut off someone’s fingers because they forgot to add a seasoning to a sandwich, then threaten to send them home if they forget again. If someone forgot something or messed something up, it happens, seems to me the missing seasoning was caught before they finished the order so there wasn’t any issue. Praise in public, criticize in private. Small restaurant with everyone in earshot, everyone heard the comments from the manager to the whom I believe was a fairly new employee. Other than that, food and service was great.“

“This Penn Station was AWESOME! The atmosphere was perfect! It was cool (extremely hot day today and the cool felt perfect). The workers were EXTREMELY kind and helpful. I wasn't sure what I liked I've only ate at Penn Station 2x in my entire life. The asked me questions and came up with suggestions based on what I liked! And the food was smashing, delicious, yummy and SO much more!!!! 😎❤ I'm really impressed with the patience and kindness the employees showed my daughter and me! They were all super kind!!! “First, a great shout out to Jersey Mikes. I’m a nurse at a nearby hospital. In the middle of the Coronavirus Pandemic we were struggling with COVID patients and somebody said “Jersey Mikes dropped off a huge pile of subs in the break room”. Thank you sooooo much!!!! So, we stopped by on a cold Friday afternoon in May to re-pay the favor. I had a ham one at the hospital and it was awesome. I don’t like mayonnaise or dressings, but they have the own special vinegar and (?) and it was great. Had a turkey #7 this time without seasonings because my wife got it and got the full one. Way too much food (enough for 2 meals!). Really good experience both times. All the meat is fresh sliced. Thanks again, loved the sandwiches. Take out or delivery only when this was written.“

“My husband and I just ate at the Springdale location this evening. The service was great, the food was fresh- my husband was happy at the fact he didn’t have to ask for extra tomatoes or extra this or that because they put a good amount of toppings on your sandwich and they are not skimpy. I didn’t have to ask for any extra meat or anything else either. I’ve seen in the comments (and I don’t know how true it is) where if the women were working - they were more skimpy with the portions but when the men are there they give you good portions, and I can say that there were two men there and they gave a great portion size. The store was very, very clean and it was a nice atmosphere all around. The best subway I’ve been to in a long time. 👍🏽“

The prices are similar to other Subway's in the area but the buy one get one footlong is still working BOGO50 but I think that is only until the end of the month. Eat fresh!
