“Second time eating here. Pick up order via online with discount (any 2 footlong for $10, great deal!). No waiting, very very clean, and sandwiches were perfect. I had a fairly painful molar extraction a few days ago, and I've had very little appetite, until I ordered here. I've been back 2 days in a row (since a footlong for me is 2 meals) and I wish I could personally thank the person who was responsible for doing so outstanding at their job. Food service is often highly underrated, and this restaurant deserves a roll ? for service, presentation, and consideration (safe & clean). Thank you thank you thank you thank you!“

“Every time I go here for lunch (11:30) I have a very good experience. Today, I saw the staff taking extra measures to make sure the area was clean and the food was protected. This guy, not sure if he was the manager, lowered the glass case in order to cover the food because a fly or something was in the store. I was really impressed with that.“

“This is a tiny little shop that's been around for so long that is an institution in Coventry Village, on the same level as Tommy's. You can just feel how not-corporate they are, and I'm pretty sure that the owner works the counter, which I think is awesome. Their subs are all so good, and their bread is some of my favorite. A whole sub is a good investment if you want leftovers for the next day - it works out to around $6-7 a meal (for me at least). They have a drink fridge. There's no seating for dine-in, but they do have benches to wait - although I always prefer to drop into another store nearby and come back in a few minutes to pick it up.

Note that as of October 2024, the only credit/debit card they accept is Visa. It gives an option to tip on the card, so you don't need cash for that. I encourage tipping here, because the kitchen is open and you can really tell that they're working hard at it.

Vegetarian options: I forget which sub it is, but they have a mushroom sub that is absolutely delicious - one of the best veggie subs I've ever had. I'm not sure if have any vegan cheese, but let's be honest - why would anyone even want vegan cheese?“

“What can I say. I've always liked there Roman burger and fries. I always say no cheese on anything and they would repeat what I say but I some how I end up with cheese on my sandwich. I am lactose intolerant which makes it hard on my stomach.“

“I'm new to the area and wanted pizza. But after reading all the bad reviews on most of the places here, I opted not to. I found Mr. Hero by accident. I'm glad I stopped. Their food is delicious. “I stopped by this past Tuesday, 3/5. The food was delicious and flavorful. I had the Italian sub and it was packed with fresh ingredients; not just bread. I was impressed with the two men working behind the counter. They were attentive, pleasant, were focused on their work, and checked up on me to see if everything was ok. It was more of a fine dining experience. The only thing missing were the white table linens.“

“The person serving us here was absolutely amazing. Full of life, spoke clearly, made me feel welcome and just nice to talk to (from the few exchanges we had from when I was ordering). I’m not sure exactly why I enjoyed talking to him so much, he just seemed like a great guy. I don’t know his name but I believe he looked like he was in his 40s, African American and had a nice moustache if i may add. I

I really enjoyed the food here, I got a number 26 I believe. The Chicken Bacon Ranch sub in a regular size, would definitely recommend. The service was quick and easy, overall a great experience.“

“2nd time here. 1st round, ordered God Father, AMAZING sub! Fella taking the order wasn't especially helpful, I let him know it was my first time there, so I didn't know the menu very well. Luckily a wonderful lady stepped up, and said something when she overheard. She was super kind and helpful. They always seem to be very accommodating to customers from what I have seen.

FYI* I get my sandwiches fairly plain, aside from signature oil, spinach leaves, but they will Load up toppings if u ask!

2nd order, I just ordered online to make it seamless, and it was. Staff was very kind, helpful and accomodating. Rest rooms were clean, tables clean, and clean work stations. They get an A+ from me. “I was skeptical because of course it's in a gas station and you know what they say about gas station food. But I can assure you this food is made to order right in front of your eyes and tastes amazing!!! So far I've had their gyro and their clevelander Burger with fries oh my God I will keep trying more items on the menu. Do yourself a favor and try it and it is worth every penny! So good“

(You can dine in) Men's room had a sign saying "out of order" although a male employee used it...food was hot and flavorful. Not a bad experience.“

“I placed an online order today and Subway didn't have the meatballs to complete my order. Instead of being lazy and cancelling my order, a young man called and advised me of the issue and gave me an option. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. When I got there, food was ready and packed. I've always liked this location. Everybody in there was on their job. Message to management: All workers that were in this Subway location at like 7:30 today (6/10/24) when I picked up my order deserve some type of accolade. Thank y'all for the GREAT customer service!“

“The chicken salad was delicious. A nice large amount was distributed. Chicken wells seasoned very good . I noticed the mushrooms were canned, not fresh. You can tell the difference. Instead of putting certain items on your salad, you may want it on the side, for example, jalapeno peppers, pickles, etc.. they will charge you for putting those items in a side cup. I didn't agree with that, the choice of salad dressings, you can get those on the side free. If you want an egg on your salad you have to pay for it. I've noticed lots of great things on the menu. I will continue to go back there and also try new things as well. The overall price, I think, is reasonable. The customer service was great and pretty fast.“
