“I don't get Penn Station like I used to. Older and can't handle the calories as often as I'd like. But when I want a Reuben, I go straight to Forest Park Penn Station. Haven't been disappointed yet. I get extra meat, extra cheese on the multigrain roll. Scrumptious! That multigrain roll is what you need. I usually pick up at the window. I have eaten inside. The place is clean and the people were friendly and professional. And the bathroom was clean! Service at the window was just as inside. I don't have a complaint about the price cause everything everywhere is high. My only complaint is why have restaurants stopped cutting sandwiches? If you're driving or just not going home, you have to hold the whole thing to take a bite. Please cut the sandwiches/hoagies.👍🏾“

“Today was my first visit to Izzy's and it definitely will not be the last. They get you from the moment you open the door. The smell and the warm welcome. That was enough to make me want to come back. But then I got the Ruben. I feel like I need to share this to help explain how great this ruben was, I am going through chemo treatments right now, and one of the side effects is a very sensitive mouth, like no hot (temperature) no spicy food, no acidic foods. So as you could imagine, that Ruben tore my mouth up. But it was so worth it. It hit the spot. I'd order another one tomorrow if I wasn't 2 hours away. We'll be back. For those potato cakes, apple sauce and another Ruben. And! The great service.“

“I have had to leave a negative review on this store before but everything was like night and day today. I care about customer service because my family owned several restaurants years ago in Florida and I know the importance. From the moment any customer walked in the store, Dan immediately acknowledged each and every one of them. “I used to come here like weekly when i was a little boy, an innocent little boy with an emo swoosh and no care in the world, and a guy named Kenny was always there. He was kind, always super helpful, and even remembered my order each time I came. Ham, american cheese, lettuce, pickles, and mayonnaise. Kenny always knew the perfect ratios of ingredients, I've never had a sandwich that's tasted the same since. One of his employees gave me his hat one time and I still have it to this day. I liked the way they had the pickles & Dijon mustard on the side, I used both & the pickles seemed homemade. My side was coleslaw & that was delish as well. Although I’ve never a manager threaten to cut off someone’s fingers because they forgot to add a seasoning to a sandwich, then threaten to send them home if they forget again. If someone forgot something or messed something up, it happens, seems to me the missing seasoning was caught before they finished the order so there wasn’t any issue. Praise in public, criticize in private. Small restaurant with everyone in earshot, everyone heard the comments from the manager to the whom I believe was a fairly new employee. “I love McAlisters but the pricing is getting crazy to feed 2 people. And I wish this location had a drive thru set up.

My food has been correct 90% of the time and has been delicious. The staff interactions I've had are mostly friendly and once in a while someone will be short but that happens!
I wouldn't say this is the most baby/toddler friendly place but its also not some where I'd say dont bring them to.

The entrance is not wheelchair friendly, there's no button to open the door but I believe i saw a table that was marked as wheelchair friendly.“

“I cannot say that the food wasn't good....it was. I prefer this Subway to the one on the West side of Hamilton or Oxford. I am a bit ticked off over their coupon procedure. I receive coupons in the mail. Was looking forward to 2 footlongs for $12.99. The young sandwich artist told me their register wasn't equipped to handle the coupons and it was online only. I attempted to order online while there only to have the code rejected. 4 people tried to read it and no combination worked. I was po'd at that point and ordered one 12 inch and one 6 inch which cost almost $17.00....a far cry from my coupon value. Why mass mail coupons that don't work no matter what you do. Next hankering for a sub I'll bite the $$$ bullet and give Jersey Mike's a try.“

“I changed my review from 2-star to a 5-star. There was an issue with my order, and it happened a couple of times. At first, I didn't think much about it - stuff happens. People are making sandwiches and sometimes orders are a bit off. But when it repeated, I ended up writing a poor review.

The store manager immediately followed up and called me about the issue. He was very courteous, and to me, it speaks volumes about how he does care about his service and the customers. I feel bad to have harshly judged the establishment, but I think in the end we are all better for it. The store hopefully is more careful in making their orders, and I probably will think before I write a harsh review. I'll definitely do business with this store and recommend it to others.

This might seem much ado about an order of sandwiches, but there's more to it. The follow-up by the manager is what customer service is about. He went above and beyond. In an industry where the margins are slim and establishments are dealing with perishables, I understand the pressure the stores have.“

“I want to give a HUGE shoutout to the manager Zach at McAlister's Deli in Kenwood! My daughter wasn’t feeling good today & stayed home from school. She really wanted her favorite cheddar broccoli soup to make her feel better. I ordered it on the app & went out to my car to go get it. Car won’t start. So I called McAlister’s to let them know since I already paid for it, if they’d just hold it for me until my wife got off work, I’d come get it & just have it as leftovers. Zach answered the phone & said, “I gotta go to the bank anyway, so how about I just drop it off at your house.” Talk about above & beyond customer service! He even gave me a VIP card for a free meal when he dropped my food off. Everyone there is always so nice. I just love my local McAlister’s.“
