“Ok so we’ve dined at Old Scratch Troy location about 6 times since it’s opened. Waited a bit to give them time to really get in their groove. While I do recommend the place. Pizza is good, staff is nice (especially Amanda at the bar) and shareables are tasty. That said I would like to see the food’s taste be a little more consistent. My favorite dish is the fire roasted cauliflower but sadly it hasn’t been prepared the same way twice with the last two times it was barely seasoned at all once it was almost raw. Hopefully as training continues they will fix that issue.“

My only complaints were the lamb was overcooked, but still juicy, and the kids running all over the place (and the boy that was hitting his brother with a belt, not hard, but still annoying).“

“The pizza here is some of the best around. We lived in the Dayton area several years ago and it was one of our go-to places whenever friends came to visit. We eat here at least once whenever we come back into town. The decor is a little dated but that is part of the charm, nothing really changes, the atmosphere the staff and most importantly the food. The construction on I-75 is a pain but it’s easy enough to get to that it doesn’t really matter.“

“Hoagie's was a staple for me in the 80s and early 90s when I lived nearby and worked in the Poe Avenue area. It had been a long time since I'd visited so I drove over (across town from Fairborn - about 25 minutes one way) and ordered when I got there. I got two pizzas, a whole Spider (one of my all time favorite sandwiches) and the stuffed garlic bread. I grabbed a Coke and sat outside on their patio in the lovely weather. 20-ish minutes later, they brought my order right out to me. It think it was about $40 and well worth it. The pizza was just as I remembered it - the big thing I love is their sauce has a great tomato flavor and isn't too sweet. Great crust and well topped. I ordered my wife's pizza light sauce and they did it perfectly. The Spider was everything I remembered and the stuffed bread sticks might be my wife's new favorite thing. They have a nice amount of inside seating and the staff was very friendly. While I was waiting outside, it was a constant stream of folks coming for pickup orders. Hoagie's is as good as I remember and it will be on our regular rotation going forward. I just made me happy to reconnect with some of those memories from my first job working in that area and to get back to Hoagie's. If you have the chance, you should go.“

“I absolutely loved this place. They provided a gluten free, and vegan dairy free cheese options. The gluten-free crust was a wonderful texture that tasted like dough bread, rather than cardboard, like most glute free pizza crust options. They also offered a wide variety of veggie toppings that were so delicious. The best part is regardless of what you order. Your order is cooked and served within ten minutes or less. I highly recommend this pizza stop, especially for those with gluten and dairy sensitivities. However, due to the setup of the facilities, they can not guarantee no cross contamination. Therefore, I would not recommend going here if your allergies are dangerously severe.“

“This place was awesome! The staff were incredible and we enjoyed the food! They have a bar area and a family dinning room for any occasion. Had a great time talking with the wait staff and the young lady who brought our food out. they have a coney dog as an appetizer that comes with chili, cheese and I believe onions. The chili was fantastic and made right there in the kitchen. Comes in mild or spicy. The tenderloin was hot and crispy along with the potato wedges. The sweet tea was awesome as well.
