“This is an authentic Chinese restaurant. Some dishes are impressive, while others are mediocre. They recently upgraded their menu with large iron hotpot entrees. It was required to make an appointment for those. Recommend their braised pork and chicken feet, dumplings, and lamb entrees. Sometimes they might put too much salt or overcook. Service is always good and WiFi is fast. Rice is unlimited.“

“This American Chinese restaurant mainly served American Chinese cuisine. My server recommended the beef fried noodles which tasted authentic. The dining room was clean with a decent bar. There were some cheap alcohol selections during happy hour. WiFi was fast. Glad to see that many American people liked dining at this place.“

When I order delivery, they always pack the noodles and soup separately, so when I get home, the noodles are still perfectly chewy.Their Dan Dan hand stretch noodle is honestly the best noodle dish I’ve ever had. If you usually order stir-fried noodles, definitely upgrade to the hand pulled noodle— it’s on another level! “I have been ordering delivery from here for over a decade. Before Door Dash and all that. I have never stepped foot inside their store so I cannot rate atmosphere. What I can rate is the exceptional delivery service and friendly staff I encounter. The food is pretty good for short order Chinese food. I have had most of the popular items and many of my obscure favorites. But back to the service.. The food is always delivered HOT! Fresh and quick. I literally burnt my tongue on the Veggie Soup I just ordered (saying this just to show how fast they are). And best of all is my order is 99.9% accurate! Even special requests. It goes without saying that I will continue ordering from here unless something crazy happens. Fine establishment and customer focused! Great work GCE! Keep it up. Editing to add a few other thoughts...The prices are very fair based on portions. And my go to items are the Chicken Teriyaki appetizer #6. The Fried Dumplings, and the Kung Pao Chicken Extra Spicy. The Veggie Soup is very flavorful. And believe it or not... Their fried chicken wings are meaty, crispy and good price! I will order a few orders of them then toss em in homemade buffalo sauce or other sauces. Boom! Great for weekend football gatherings.“

“This summer I spent a month in Taiwan and have been missing the food terribly. Lan Zhou reminded me so much of the small little noodle shops with incredible food I grew to love while abroad. Their beef noodle soup was lovely- the greens on top were perfect and the beef was tender. I prefer a slightly more springy noodle, and these were very soft and tender- not my favorite, but I can't complain.
I'm very excited to return.“

“I grew up off this Chinese Food location. Watched the kids grow up and all lol. The food is absolutely delicious. It's a simple come and go order place. Anything you order will usually be done in 10 minutes, the egg rolls are great, and different menu items have never disappointed.“

“Hands down the best Chinese food in the Columbus area. You can order anything from here and you won’t be disappointed. My personal favorite is the spicy wings with green onions. I give them 4/5 stars. I would give 5, but they are a little stingy with sauces and when you ask for more they just give you one more and you don’t want to keep asking for more, so you leave with less sauce than you want lol. But overall, highly recommended.“

“Just walking in and I knew it was gonna be good. They don't waste money on decor. The staff were friendly and the food seemed authentic. Definitely different than most American knock offs.

We got 3 dishes:

The stir fry ramen was good. Perfect lunch fair and great for little mouths.

The squid had great flavor and was pleasantly spicy.

The tofu was very spicy but was missing something. Not sure what but seemed lacking.

I appreciated my ice water but the husband got the walovi. It was pleasant and herbal.

All of these dishes are easily shareable so a great place for a lunch date.“

“It doesn’t get much better for a local family Chinese place than this. I have been eating here for at least 20 years and it’s always tasty and fresh. The egg rolls and Rangoon are great. The Mongolian beef is a personal favorite but I also love the fried rice. A particularly amazing batch of pork fried rice inspired this review tonight. The prices are good and the service is great. Do yourself a solid and give them a try sometime.“

They whipped me up an off-menu speciality on the spot. And it was terrific! Huge shrimp in a delicious sauce, big chunks of green pepper, etc. Their egg rolls were also nice and crunchy which I love and that seems to be harder to find anymore at places I try. “Four of us went here for carryout as we needed the last minute meal. We all got different things and most of it was good. I got the wor su gai which was nothing like I've ever had anywhere. I order this dish a lot at various Chinese restaurants, but this one had like a breaded chicken and the sauce was not the yellow or brown gravy it tasted like a teriyaki sauce and it looked like teriyaki sauce. It was good but in no way tasted like wor su gai. I thought the egg rolls were good as well. The lady was very nice at the restaurant and thanked us numerous times for the business. And she threw in a egg drop soup and everybody's to go order and wrote free on the lid. I don't eat that soup. so it just want to waste on me, but it was very nice that she did that. I would maybe try it again, but get something different. They were a little slow, but not bad.“

“We went to the Ace of Cups to watch a performance by Galactic Empire yesterday and we're hungry so we went across the street to Northeast Chinese restaurant. This little hidden spot for most folks turned out to be some of the best Chinese food that I have eaten in my life and I have eaten Chinese food all over the world. The portions are huge, the price is good and the staff very friendly. I recommended anybody traveling through Columbus that might want some good Chinese food, to look this place up and go there and eat.“

We were surprised that the place had been closed for quite some time as it was our go-to place for Chinese takeout. It has been a staple for Marcus theatre area for many many years. It finally reopened under new ownership, but no sign.

The owner was there to greet us and show us the menu. Very nice guy and felt welcomed. We ordered the orange chicken, bokchoy dish, and chicken egg roll. Food was hot and the bokchoy was our favorite dish. Orange chicken wasn't the best but wasn't bad either (would get again). My only gripe is that the prices are similar to a sit-down full-service restaurant and not your typical take-out Chinese food prices. While I would love to come here again the price is way too high for us as we like to go get a quick meal before a movie, etc. I get it the prices need to be adjusted to match inflation/food costs but the price point before new ownership was so good.

All in all, I do want to try the other dishes as the food was good but it won't be on a regular basis as the prices are not competitive with traditional TOGO Chinese places.

“The Mala Xiang Guo was perfect in taste and fragrance! We forgot to ask them to omit the numb seeds, which numbed our mouths, but everything else was excellent. The price is very reasonable, and we'll definitely be back to try the Malatang next time.“

Pepper steak was very tasty rice was cooked perfect green peppers were cooked perfectly as were the onions and every part of the pepper steak was proportioned evenly, some places will throw an abnormal amount of onions in the mix to try and save a buck.

“This is my first time trying Halal China Bistro and I am not mad I took the 25 minute drive each way. The lady was nice and the portions were plentiful. I started eating before I realized I hadn't taken a picture. The bourbon chicken and the rest of the dishes were tasty. The rice was a cross between fried and white with no veggies inside of it.“
