“Good food and food and good atmosphere but please train your servers to check on their customers. I sat there waiting a long time for her to come back. She never checked on me and never refilled my drink and I really wanted to order dessert but no longer had the time to wait. So no dessert for me. Guy across from me got star treatment and he got to enjoy dessert. She brought me more ketchup as one at table was empty then I never saw her again until I walked up to counter to ask for check and that worker was messing around on her phone and did not notice me standing there. I get I am not a regular but certainly never deserved to be treated like that. was considering recommending this place to friends and family. Please talk to your staff about paying better attention and checking on the customers. You were not busy today when I was there and it does not take much to bring someone a refill or to ask how things are or see if they need anything else. Thank You. Guess I will have to give rest of my business to another bakery today.“

“Helpful staff, delicious food, and incredible location all come together to make Dave's in Toledo a soom to be staple of our downtown landscape! The downtown area has needed something like this for a long time.“

“This is a tiny little shop that's been around for so long that is an institution in Coventry Village, on the same level as Tommy's. You can just feel how not-corporate they are, and I'm pretty sure that the owner works the counter, which I think is awesome. Their subs are all so good, and their bread is some of my favorite. A whole sub is a good investment if you want leftovers for the next day - it works out to around $6-7 a meal (for me at least). They have a drink fridge. There's no seating for dine-in, but they do have benches to wait - although I always prefer to drop into another store nearby and come back in a few minutes to pick it up.

Note that as of October 2024, the only credit/debit card they accept is Visa. It gives an option to tip on the card, so you don't need cash for that. I encourage tipping here, because the kitchen is open and you can really tell that they're working hard at it.

Vegetarian options: I forget which sub it is, but they have a mushroom sub that is absolutely delicious - one of the best veggie subs I've ever had. I'm not sure if have any vegan cheese, but let's be honest - why would anyone even want vegan cheese?“

Food never takes super long to get to you either. it takes a few minutes at absolute most. They also hold up some of their special deals (you won't see them on the menu but all I had to do was ask).

“One of the best sandwich spots in town. We like going to La Bodega too and they do serve different sandwiches. The owner is very nice and the names for the sandwiches are funny. We have been going here often and the place did not disappoint. Definitely give them a shot, great place and they have parking on both sides of the street. You can either street parking or park in their lots.“

“The food here is so good and so reasonable! My son had the lamb Gyro and he could not stop raving about it! The rest of our party had breakfast sandwiches and they made them fresh right in front of you and I specifically said I only wanted bacon if it could be crispy, very few restaurants understand what crispy bacon is supposed to be But they nailed it! He told me he would make sure it was crispy and it was the best. He cracked the egg in a pan right in front of us went into a little oven and it absolutely perfect. We ate there in the morning before going to the football game and we highly recommend West 3rd Deli!!!“

“What can I say. I've always liked there Roman burger and fries. I always say no cheese on anything and they would repeat what I say but I some how I end up with cheese on my sandwich. I am lactose intolerant which makes it hard on my stomach.“

“I came in maybe 4 months ago and one of the employees said to the others "I don't know how the f you guys' can stand people watching you while you make food." One of the employees replied it didn't really bother him and the guy went on, "I can't f stand it. Really I can't stand it. I hate it."

I was standing near the register but I wasn't watching them and it still made me uncomfortable.

Fast forward to a few days ago, Barbara was working, and man, she just has the best personality I've seen in a while in an employee and it seemed so genuine. For her I leave this good review.

“2nd time here. 1st round, ordered God Father, AMAZING sub! Fella taking the order wasn't especially helpful, I let him know it was my first time there, so I didn't know the menu very well. Luckily a wonderful lady stepped up, and said something when she overheard. She was super kind and helpful. They always seem to be very accommodating to customers from what I have seen.

FYI* I get my sandwiches fairly plain, aside from signature oil, spinach leaves, but they will Load up toppings if u ask!

“I was skeptical because of course it's in a gas station and you know what they say about gas station food. But I can assure you this food is made to order right in front of your eyes and tastes amazing!!! “Thank you for offering gluten free bread!! This place was very good and decently priced. It is rare to find somewhere that offers GF anything so this made my day. The workers were very nice and helpful when placing my order. I ordered the original and it was delicious! I would definitely stop by again if I am in the area.

Update: Went back and order the cajun fries, super good!! They stated the fries were also gluten free so another +1 at this restaurant!

“The chicken salad was delicious. A nice large amount was distributed. Chicken wells seasoned very good . I noticed the mushrooms were canned, not fresh. You can tell the difference. Instead of putting certain items on your salad, you may want it on the side, for example, jalapeno peppers, pickles, etc.. they will charge you for putting those items in a side cup. I didn't agree with that, the choice of salad dressings, you can get those on the side free. If you want an egg on your salad you have to pay for it. I've noticed lots of great things on the menu. I will continue to go back there and also try new things as well. The overall price, I think, is reasonable. The customer service was great and pretty fast.“

They do not over do the mayo or other toppings and you get a very well made sub that is not a messy nightmare when you get home. The only tricky thing about this location is the parking, the lot is tiny and difficult, but that is about it, but worth the hassle to get in and out..“
