The short ribs special was very good and we all agreed that the bay scallops and shrimp risotto is an outstanding dish! “We came here for my son's 40th birthday dinner. We had about 30 minutes waiting for our table but the manager apologized and complimented 3 appetizers for our table. The waiter Karl was absolutely exceptional and made our experience so nice. The food was delicious from the short ribs to the Salmon. The only negative thing I have to say is the noise level is quite high because it is a small dining area and with the kitchen staff and all of the patrons I could not hear my party of 7 talking at the table.“

“Always a great experience. Today we were lazy and ordered Door Dash. Unfortunately an item was missed. Zipped over to see if I could get it fixed. This is an order at the counter and serve yourself style cafe, so there is no table service, but the setup works well for the vibe of the place. The food comes out quickly, the space is clean, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming.

Overall, Northstar Cafe delivered a delicious and enjoyable experience. Great food, great desserts, and a casual style that makes it easy to sit back and enjoy your meal. Five stars.“

“I had the nicest dining experience this afternoon! I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. It was warm and inviting after a 10 minute walk in the frigid air. My server, Casey, was exceptional. She was friendly, helpful, funny and heartwarming. I felt like she was a friend. She recommended a delicious drink, appetizer and pasta dish that were all beyond compare. She has great taste. We ordered the double deluxe burger and the North Atlantic Cod Sandwich. The burger was excellent—juicy and perfectly cooked. The fish sandwich was also very tasty, though I found the bun a little on the thick side. Overall, both dishes were delicious and satisfying. Given the great experience, we'd absolutely stop here again on our travels and try out some of the other menu items. Highly recommend.“

“Have been wanting to try this place forever and finally made it in today with my best friend, what a disappointment. Their posted hours show open till 2:30 pm, we arrived at 1:50 (plenty of time for some pancakes and coffee.) The weight staff was in full on cleanup mode and made it Very obvious they were done working for the day with the way we were greeted. I ordered decaf coffee and was told there was none left so decided to have regular and then didn't even get a full cup of that. At $4.99 a pop I need a full cup. I looked at my friend and said "they don't want to wait on us they are annoyed that they are already cleaning up and we came in" she agreed so when the server came back I politely said "we will just elsewhere we can tell you're cleaning up for the day" There was no "oh you are fine, you still have 40 minutes" or anything like that there just " are you sure?" We left and headed down the street to Delaney's Diner who would also be closing in about an hour at 3 PM but a TOTALLY different vibe. Greeted with a smile from the person at the hostess stand and 2 of the chefs even looked over and smiled and said welcome come on in! We looked at each other and said much better, we are definitely in the right place now. I've heard nothing but good things about the pancakes at the Pancake House I only wish I would have got to experience them But being treated well is more important to me than food. I understand wanting to be done work for the day believe me but it wasn't like we walked in with 3 minutes till closing. Oh well 🤷‍♀️“

“Great food, lots of fine dinners to choose from. Their bison steak is the best I've had anywhere! I had some garlic mashed potatoes and steamed carrots with that and some lemonade. I've dined in this place before, ate bison burgers but this time I opted for their bison filet steak, and it was delicious. The whole meal was. Facilities are clean, now with soap dispensers placed around for your convenience. I hadn't been to this area since Covid hit and that has changed everything but I'm happy this restaurant is still in business. I came to eat there because I wanted to eat a fine meal before seeing the German band Kraftwerk that evening. The waitress was very quick in serving the food and very friendly. Sure, the dinners may be more expensive and there's not many restaurants in the Nationwide Arena area now, but why not go for something unique and special to add to your fun day? I have eaten here before and after attending events such as hockey games, Phil Collins, Bruce Springsteen, RUSH, (Jeff Lynne's) ELO, Adam Ant, Noel Gallagher and more throughout the Arena District. I'm glad this place is still around after all that's occurred during the past few years, and I highly recommend it to anyone who attends any event in the Arena District. It's as good as it ever was, maybe better. Food, service, atmosphere, cleanliness - ***** out of five. I will certainly eat at this place again, just as I have at previous times. Kudos! 😋🙂😇“

“Drove by while out and about looked cool so checked the menu online and decided to stop in. Great decision the staff was friendly and the food was excellent! Decided to try their Sunday 10oz new york strip for 16.99 and it was one of the best cooked steaks I've had in a long time. I had their fries which they make in house so good! All in all 5 stars 🌟“

“I just had dinner at Easton location, today is 12th of December 2025. Lauren took care of me at the bar. I want to compliment how professional and pleasant she is! It truly adds to the experience, I enjoyed my meal a little bit more than usual just because of her warm and friendly energy! Love Lauren! ❤️ And the management's been friendly and very helpful (the gentleman wearing a buttoned down shirt, I'm guessing it's the manager. My burger was a little bit undercooked, but they fixed it for me no problem!🙂)
