I’ve been served coffee by Mini many times and she always made me feel welcomed and at home by asking how things are going and sharing a smile or laugh. “During COVID, I’d just moved into town. I was waiting in line at a coffee shop, when the guy next to me strikes up a conversation. He tells me the beans at this busy coffee shop are from a place called Velvet Sunrise, also in town. I had to check it out because the coffee was really good at this particular place. Long story short, velvet is the best! I no longer go to the other coffee place.

I come here for my bi-weekly roasted bean pickup (I have a fancy machine at home), a cappuccino when I’m lazy, and sometimes a snack. The lady who works there sometimes makes the most delicious baked treats.

It’s a hidden gem of a place that I hope will be there forever. Reminds me I need to go support them and stock up on some beans.“

“Such a cozy space. The children’s hot chocolate is the perfect temperature, really warm and not hot, and comes in a really cute 8oz cup. The raspberry squares are delicious and made with real raspberries (tangy and not too sweet) They hold together well and don’t crumble. I’m really excited to try the ready made freezer meals. We got enchiladas and butter chicken. Thank you for a great start to our day!

“This is my top choice for brunch, and I’ve visited this restaurant many times. I highly recommend the chicken waffle (hands down the juiciest and best chicken waffle in the brunch scene), chashu ramen, hazelnut latte, and either the dessert waffle or pancake. Compared to the Yonge location, both my friend and I much prefer the Leslie location—the food here tastes even better, in our opinion. The service is excellent, especially from the store manager, whose name I don’t know, but he’s always friendly and professional. He even remembers me and my son. One time, I didn’t order dessert for my toddler (to keep him quiet, since dessert usually comes with fruit). I asked if I could buy some fresh fruit instead, and he gave me a small bowl of berries for free. It wasn’t about the cost, but the thoughtful gesture made me feel really appreciated. It’s clear they go out of their way to support guests with young children.

Weekends can be very busy here, and today their ordering system was down when we arrived. Despite this small hiccup, the servers worked hard to keep things running smoothly. There were enough staff to ensure everyone got their order quickly and efficiently, and the food arrived at our table promptly. They maintained professionalism even without the ordering system. At the end, when we went to pay, one dish was incorrect. The employee immediately apologized, double-checked the bill with me, and corrected the mistake. She even said it was fine if I didn’t want to leave a tip, but I believe today’s service was absolutely worth a 15% tip for lunch.

Lastly, I think their prices are relatively low for such high-quality food and exceptional service. All my family and friends love this place!

“This is a place like no other! I've been going here weekly for 7 years and the staff, atmosphere and food have gotten me through some tough times. They even sent me my fav latte when I came home from the hospital with my then newborn (now this is her fav place to eat!). Peaceful vibes, amazing baked goods and the best lavender lattes ever :D Special thanks to Nora, Christina and Christianna! The community would not be the same without Main Street Bakehouse, so much appreciation to you guys!

“I recently visited this shop and picked up 6 assorted tarts, and I was really pleasantly surprised at how delicious they all were! I really liked the flaky crust as it wasn't too hard to bite into. I picked up a traditional cheese tart, chocolate, tiramisu, raspberry white chocolate, and a creme brule. All of them were creamy and delicious. I would recommend you give them all a try! Days prior to the event, she and I kept in touch, so communication was flawless. The day of the event, Christine came in an hour early to ensure the healthy and delicious breakfast spread was set before our guests arrived.The attendees were so impressed and I made sure they knew this was all thanks to Red Bulb Espresso Bar.I look forward to more catering services from them! “Super cute little cafe! We really enjoyed our drinks. We got the latte donut and the butterfly latte (non-caffeinated). For the donut latte they pour it in front of you, allow you to try it and they add some more. Which I found pretty cool. The staff working was very kind, helped us decide what to get by recommending and patiently explaining. The cafe is a bit small with probably around 10 seats. We came on a Friday at around 2:30 and lucky was able to get a seat. Their drinks are a bit pricey though, the donut latte was around $10 and the butterfly latte was around $7. I believe they are also pet friendly. Would definitely come again, loved the vibes!
