Much tea. Probably should have gotten it with ice cause by the time I finished the bubble tea, it was lukewarm. But that's my fault.

Overall good experience. Is connected to the inside of the all plaza mall.

“I've been a customer of this restaurant since they started their branch on Bathurst St. Over the years, I've watched the business grow, and I'm always impressed by their service, food, and ambiance. The friendly staff always put a smile on my face, from ordering to finishing my meal. The restaurant continues to evolve, introducing new menu ideas and popular Filipino desserts-to-go like Taho, Buko Pandan, and Fruit Salad. Kabalen is a true gem in North York, perfect for bringing visitors to satisfy their cravings - a home away from home. One drawback though, is the accessibility. The dining area is located upstairs and the washroom is downstairs in the basement. As a result, it is not advisable for wheelchair users to dine in. Nonetheless, the establishment maintains a clean environment and is conducive for group gatherings, or for individuals like myself, who just wants to unwind after a days work.“

“Amazing flavor. There are not many Bingsu spots in Toronto, but I would say this location creates the perfect blend. Price is slightly high. I would reduce it by 2 dollars to make customers feel more welcome. The tip system is a little pressuring on top of a heavy price. “Was there for a Sunday brunch with friends. Food is awesome and coffee is good. The workers were very nice but I felt that they were short staffed because it took very long for them to greet us and bring us water. It was over 10min before a waitress was able to take our order. The food was also slow to show up and they may have missed a couple things from the order as it didnt come out until we asked for it after waiting a while. Everybody seemed swamped and perhaps there needs to be a designated server among them.

“Growing up, I never really gravitated toward rice rolls or congee - there were always too many other tempting dishes at dim sum! I found rice rolls too thick and filling, often taking up valuable stomach space that I’d rather reserve for dumplings and other favourites. But Millstone Rice Rolls completely changed my perspective.
The shrimp and pork rice rolls were a revelation. Instead of being thick and heavy, the rice noodle was thin, delicate, and slightly wrinkly - more like a wide noodle than a dense sheet. The filling was generous, with plump shrimp and flavourful pork, and the sweetened soy sauce tied it all together beautifully.
We also tried the rice rolls wrapped around youtiao (egg dough stick), and it might’ve been the best I’ve ever had. The youtiao was soft, chewy, and perfectly salty - none of that hard, mouth-cutting texture I’ve unfortunately experienced elsewhere. Paired with the thin rice roll, it was such a satisfying bite.
The congee we ordered - dried scallop, gingko seed, chicken, ginger, and bean curd stick - also stood out. The rice had a grounded texture, not too mushy but still comforting, with flavours that blended seamlessly. It was surprisingly light for a congee, which made it even more enjoyable.
All in all, I had a really positive experience. Millstone has definitely made me a believer, and I can’t wait to come back to try more.“
