“I’ve been living in the area for over 2 years and never tried their fried chicken until yesterday. I ordered their “Everyday Special “- A large breast, a drumstick, fries and a fountain drink for the price of…wait for it…$6.19. You can get regular or spicy too. Took it home and the chicken was exactly the way I like it, crispy and cooked just right. How can you lose at that price.“

“Tried Simbas and overall had a good experience. For $21, I got two sandwiches (one Nashville hot chicken, one beef patty with jalapeño pickle), fries, their signature sauce, and a drink, which is a solid combo.

The fries were perfect—very similar to Costco-style fries, which is what you’d expect from a shawarma-style spot, and they didn’t disappoint. The Nashville chicken tender was juicy, well-seasoned, and paired really nicely with the coleslaw. The beef patty sandwich was also satisfying.

The place is located in a food court–style plaza, so seating feels more like a canteen. There’s plenty of free parking, which is a big plus. However, the washroom could use improvement—only one sink was working during my visit. We waited 15 minutes for the food which is pretty good pace.

Food-wise, I really enjoyed it, but pricing feels a bit high. Personally, this meal would make more sense around $15 rather than $21.

“Very good chicken sandwiches in the west end. This was my first visit and I went for the sweet heat sandwich, which had great flavour but way too much sauce. Eating this was a real mess which detracted from the enjoyment, but I'd definitely give this place a go again. Service was good although it did take longer than expected for the sandwich, given that it was the middle of a quiet afternoon.“

“Took 20 minutes from time we put in our order to when we got our food and we were the only table when we came in.

The chicken was delicious, crispy but juicy on the inside.

There are maybe a total of 7 tables in the restaurant so it is not good for big groups.

I found the restaurant to be stuffy and there were a lot of flies.. was not impressed.

Unsure if I would come again but I would be open to doing take out.“

“I’ve been here at least 5 times already and it NEVER disappoints. My go-to order is the bulgogi pizza with the garlic dip (honestly the best dip I’ve ever tasted). The signature shrimpbul is packed with toppings, super filling and definitely spicy. The crazy chicken shrimp is probably my second favourite. Close to TMU, great service, clean and inviting! Highly recommended :)“

“I had an amazing experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken thanks to Gagan and Daksh! From the moment I walked in, they were welcoming, friendly, and super attentive. They took the time to explain the spice levels properly and made sure my order was exactly how I wanted it.

The food was fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned — but what really made the visit stand out was their customer service. They were patient, professional, and had such positive energy the whole time. It honestly made the whole experience better.

“Had such a great experience here! The service was incredibly friendly, fast, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. We were served by Angel, who was attentive and made sure everything was perfect.

We ordered the chicken wings and they were delicious. They were very crispy, flavourful, and fresh. I also really appreciated that they offer halal options, which made it an easy choice for us.

“Had this a long time ago but at a different location. The servings was more than I expected. Staff is friendly.

If youve never been here but want to come, the building is L shaped and the entrance is under a different sign of some indian take out (taste of agvra?)“

“Been to Onnuri on multiple occasions and each visit has been great! Service is excellent on most occasions and at times when it’s busy it can be a bit slow.

Korean Fried Chicken is crispy, juicy and made to order! My usual order is their 5pc chicken with a pint of Asahi. Other items from their menu which are just as good is their Soon Tofu and Bibimbap!

Overall, this is one of my favourite Korean spots to dine at and they have all the standard Korean dishes available on their menu as well. The taste is authentic and has a good kick of spice! Location can accommodate larger parties but always good to call ahead!“

“Superchicken's Chinese Fried Chicken

Absolutely loved it! The Chinese-style fried chicken was crispy, spicy, and full of flavor - totally worth the price. The best part is that it's halal certified, which is a big plus. The staff were super friendly, and our order was ready in under 15 minutes. Everything tasted so good that I completely forgot to take pictures!

During my visit there was a Huge Line for that Free Chicken and I ordered the Reaper Sandwich which is made with Carolina Reaper Pepper and yes it sure is Spicy! Believe it or Not I ate the sandwich without having anything to drink and I sure felt like a Dragon On Fire Afterwards! Lol.
