“Firehouse subs is elegance and freshness in a bundle. The establishment is immaculate and welcoming. Subtle aspects of the fire force such as the equipment and the tools gives off a firehouse vibe. First time around it was Kush who helped me around the menu. I went back for seconds and Rupinder helped specialize my order out to with bell peppers and spicy flakes. I trued the pastrami reuben sub and the firehouse hero. The former taste like coleslaw and hot meat on a sub and the later taste like a 3 meat sub. Both were very appetizing and seemed like they were made with care.“

“California Sandwiches has been epic since I was a kid. Whenever I’m away from Toronto I miss their giant, messy, sauce-drenched sammies. So good. There are some better Italian sandwiches in the world, but these are really hard to beat for cost/value/size. I can only eat these 1/2 at a sitting.“

“Rock-solid sub from an old-school Toronto chain, nothing out-of-the-ordinary compared to other sub shops but the toppings are always fresh, service is fast and the place is spotless. Knocking off a little bit because IMO the bread is a bit too ordinary for a takeout sub costing <$10, it's not stale or anything but maybe I'm just a stickler when it comes to sandwiches. Still, excellent place for lunch and they're open late too, would recommend“
“Amazing service, every time I go and the nice lady Dimpol is working there she usually see's me outside and by the time I come in she is ready to make my order and has it memorized at this point which is just amazing service, the location is a bit small, nowhere to sit inside or outside but still very nice all that aside.“

The owner is a gem... was telling me he's been in the neighbourhood since 1974 and this will be his 50th year. Very nice guy and even refused a tip, saying it was his pleasure to make me a sub. 5/5 recommend!“
